    The fun team!!!

The location and a quick place to get coffee and either breakfast or lunch. The employee s (Jan, Milkana, and Nargess) are the best! And the food is good, too.

Tiny cafe at the corner of the INOVA building. It's a narrow corridor with few seats indoors and a couple outdoor tables. I stumbled upon this as we tried to find new brunch places in our area - it's less than a 5 min drive from home and we can bring our fur babies. It's actually a bit too cold now to be outside but I did notice they have ceiling furnaces so hopefully they'll turn those on soon. The food is fresh and tastes homemade. Some of their things seem to sell out which is understandable at its small size. Their coffee is delicious and the staff have been pleasant to deal with. Their bakery items are so good! I ask them to heat it up and they happily obliged. I always get their low carb feta Turkey avocado wrap and it's never failed to fill me up. The simple cheese panini also seems to be my mom's go to now- she loves how "clean" everything tastes. I have to agree! I'll be back to try their other items.

The Cinnabon was so damn good, I plan on trying the one with pecans next. And the breakfast burrito was hot and filling. I left my appointment and was starving and wanted a quick bite before a ventured on with my journey. This spot did the job. However, I would have like a warm greeting and acknowledgement when I walked in as it was not busy. The place is super cute and I wish the mood of the employees lived up to the hype if the ambiance.

"Not your average Lemon Bar." Very lemony. Warning: it will scorch the lining in your mouth.

They serve Illy coffee. Very mild roast. If you prefer dark roast this is not your option. Large cup $4. Good selection of baked goods including breakfast burritos. Free parking in the lot.

    Black Forest cake- amazing.

The best pastries in McLean. Just love Sweetbites. Their cakes are so delicious. They bake all of our family birthday cakes!!

Can't count on fingers and toes how many mouthwatering pastries I've had (veggie quiches, pumpkin whoopie pies, fruit tart, foccacia bread, chocolate chip scones, chocolate chip cookies, brookie, keylime pie, toffee pudding, strawberry cream cake, S'mores brownie, peanut butter brownie, gluten-free brownie, and a dozen different types of cupcakes...nom nom nom!)! The unique selection of sweet and savory treats is impressive and always keeps me guessing! There's always so much to choose to from and the daily selection is always different. My favorite sweet treats: tangy Key Lime Pie, Pina Colada Cupcakes, scrumptious Chocolate Chip Cookie, slice of heaven strawberry cream cake, moist lemon poppy seed bread, decadent S'mores brownie and Peanut butter brownie, and best of all Brookie (brownie + cookie). The pastries are fresh, moist, and truly a sweet bite! The only things that I wouldn't recommend is the dry and stale quiches, focaccia bread, and vanilla, chocolate, and cookie dough cupcakes. As cupcakes were the bread and butter of the Sweetbites food truck, they are a side piece at the bakery and nice to see the shop expand with a variety of sweet and savory pastries, breakfast burritos, and sandwiches. The cafe is now open on Saturdays too (8am - 3pm), excited to bring my hubby! Sandra, the owner, is passionate and just as sweet as her decadent baked goods. So glad she opened up this cute cafe in McLean right near me! Tucked inside Inova medical building, Sweetbites is truly a hidden gem with lots of sweet bites to offer!

This a small cafe with a lot of baked goods! The selection is wide consisting from strawberry tarts to quiches to croissants and cookies. The chocolate chip scone is pretty good, tasting like a chocolate chip cookie with the texture of a biscuit.. the strawberry scone is my favorite but it's maybe a once a week occurrence on the menu! A slight strawberry flavor with a crumbly texture ~so gooood. I wish they had fruit flavored scones more often tho :/ I came here for lunch with a friend and we both got pesto paninis which were crispy but a little too salty for me. The workers were really friendly here and the cafe smells so goood because of all the baking happening.

SWEETBITES a great place to pick up lunch or an afternoon coffee, and even open on holidays!!!!! Thank you to the friendly staff.

Even during COVID this place is great! And the bakery smell fills the whole first floor of the building, wonderful.

Turkey and Brie sandwich with apples and avocado! AMAZING!!!!

Adorable place. Excellent food. Great service! Everything is homemade and delicious! Will definitely be back!! Thanks for the amazing food!

There's some parking available right outside, and despite living in McLean for several years, I hadn't realized there's actually a food hall in the building. That alone makes it a decent option for teleworking or a casual stop. As for the food--it reminded me quite a bit of Paris Baguette. Cakes seemed slightly more expensive, while pastries were more in line price-wise. I tried a jalapeño cheese croissant, a garlic butter bun, spinach egg bites, and a tiramisu iced coffee. The croissant was just okay, but the garlic butter bun stood out--nicely balanced between salty and sweet, and definitely the highlight. The egg bites were comparable to Starbucks; honestly, it's hard to say which is better, but Starbucks might have the edge in both portion size and price. The tiramisu iced coffee leaned too sweet--my partner especially felt it was a bit overdone. Ambiance was pleasant, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Would I come back? Probably to try the cakes. Otherwise, it's not a place I'd rush back to--but still worth checking out once.

The cake batter is a little dense but moist and flavorful. Not overly sweet like typical store cake. Very smart recipe . The light , low key cake batter lets out light hints of batter flavor. It allows the icing to be the star. The icing and frosting are unbelievable! It is bursting full of natural flavors . The orange curd were made of fresh orange pulp and you can't taste the ingredients well. Overall, the best cake I have ever had. My daughter loves the chocolate croissants, cookies and flourless brownies, as I do the standard croissant. My review was more out of disappointment as I was excited to and looking forward to joining the club. And I was frustrated at my inability to join the club. What makes my updated review 4 stars. We do love the pastry items we get, when I ever order a pastry they always grab them from the fresh pastries from the rack and not the ones on display to give the customer the best experience. As for the latte, as I saw in other reviews and have noticed myself, and often in the times I have went, notice new employees on a few times. The person who helped me and made my lattes was very polite and helpful, she may be new to lattes, practice makes perfect. I use to drink lattes almost daily and have not had one in a few years and was super excited to have a latte again. Also walking in I noticed they remodeled and change the configuration of the counter to allow for a nice indoor seating area. Lastly I have heard of My Dads Chips and had wanted to find a place that had them. I have bought these chips here and these are now my family's favorite chips and we order them by the box from My Dads Chips. It's great to see restaurants using and supporting local businesses which is another reason I like coming to Fresh Baguette. I look forward to my next time coming here. I do recommend this place. -------- Went in today and was going to get lattes so thought I would join the club. Was happy to see first month free. I tried for over 30 minute. To join using two payment methods and app attempts were denied. I mentioned to employee I had been trying to join the club but all morning been getting a whoops subscription purchase failed on two cards. She said she would give me the discount and ordered an ice latte and hot latte. The speed the lattes were made I found surprising. As a person who drinks a lot of lattes I know it's a process that takes 1-2 min per latte. She had both done in 2 min. I didn't see if she used a milk frother or not. When o left I opened my latte and it had something o would not consider froth, it had large bubbles and had no smoothness. I asked for both lattes to have vanilla. She only did the iced with vanilla. The Iced latte, being in a clear container you could see the milk on the bottom it came up about half way. It was not mixed and all you could taste was the milk with a hint of vanilla. I would compare the hot latte to one that you can make in an office coffee machine that has packets. It was very weak. Your pastries are good but my god I am glad that I didn't join the club even if the first month is free. On top of that even though she said she would give me the discount, she charged me full price. I would have complained but I have a lot of fatigue as I have stage iv cancer and just completed 39 radiation sessions. Will be back for pasties and desserts, but your coffee products with the experience I had today was vending machine quality.

I do wish their coffee offerings had more, like I always want a chai and they don't have that. But that's okay. Since we were back in the area for a DMV for a brief visit we knew exactly where we were stopping before heading to the airport. Hubs ordered his usual sausage, egg and cheese sandwich , and I ordered the bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich along with an iced mocha. I had completely forgotten they have a Starbucks on-site with a limited menu. Of course, I couldn't leave without grabbing a cookie and a chocolate croissant for later. The food arrived fresh, hot, and exactly as expected. The staff is always friendly and personable. You see professionals, students and the locals coming in and out, but there is seating available. Conversations are at a minimum and despite the attached restaurant you can still hear yourself and the other person without yelling. One thing I appreciate about Best Buns is the consistency. Whether it's been months or years between visits, the quality never seems to change. The sandwiches are flavorful, the ingredients taste fresh, and nothing feels like it was sitting around waiting to be reheated. Everything is prepared to order, and you can taste the difference. My sandwich disappeared one bite at a time, and Hubs completely demolished his croissant sandwich without hesitation. That's usually all the confirmation I need. Some restaurants are good. Some are memorable, but there are the places that become part of your routine whenever you're back in town. Best Buns has earned that status for us. Five stars earned! Consistently fresh.
