Never been to one of these before. Was impressed with the bright inviting interior and the cleanliness and options at the bar. I tried numerous flavors. Mango was one of my favorites, and the chocolate was also very good. I liked them all, really; they tasted good without being overly sweet. The only thing is the price. I thought it was really expensive, especially since I could get ice cream or frozen yoghurt from Giant basically right next door for so much less. But it was fun to try once. read more

This used to be a great place, I don't know what has happened but the last two times I have been in here the place has been filthy by the yogurt machines and where you get the add ons. It's just messy! Also the sneeze guard was filthy and full of dusk. I'm looking at a hundred things that need to be cleaned and both people behind the counter are just sitting there chillin like they have nothing to do. I don't plan on going back. If it's that messy and dirty on the outside I can't imagine that they are cleaning the frozen yogurt machines properly. No thanks! read more

Honestly, this feels a bit redundant. I don't know what you expected here. If you have been to Sweet Frog one place you have been to most of them. This one is a lovely example and the staff are always very sweet to me. The fluctuating hours are a frustration, but that is a function of Covid and I can't hold it against them much I love Sweet Frog. I love the original tart froyo and the caramel and fudge and the mochi bits. My partner loves getting all sorts of things. We will continue going as long as we live near a Sweet Frog. They've increased their pricing to be 89 cents per ounce. I went there with my girlfriend and it totaled 25 dollars for the both of us. It was not worth the soupy/gross soft serve (when pulling on the handle it was mostly liquid for the first few seconds) and the rude customer service. I used to go to sweetFrog as a cheaper alternative to the more expensive sweets places in the area, but now its more expensive and worse quality then anywhere else. read more

I called to ask about what flavors they had, then drove down to north point to get some froyo just to find a sign that says back in 15 minutes. I am so pleased at the safety precautions in place at this froyo shop-- now I can feel good about having a sweet, delicious creamy treat during the pandemic without compromising my health or safety!! A brightly colored frozen treat shop full of enough sugar laden goodies to keep a whole kindergarten class hyper active for an entire afternoon, Sweet frog is the go to Fairfax frozen yogurt shop/happy place for kids under 10 and their families. The store is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking and as usually crowded with little kids, teens, and families. Since COVID-19, patrons stay further apart andAre required to use hand sanitizer, wear masks, and where food preparation gloves when touching any of the machines. Sweet Frog also has taken away the self-service option for the topping bar, with patrons placing their cup on a tray and pushing it through an opening in the plexiglass window for a gloved and masked attendant to dole out helpings of the many toppings available. I go in very few places myself since the onset of the pandemic, but after reading about the safety measures in place and sending my husband inside to confirm, I feel comfortable entering Sweet Frog and preparing my own cup of yogurt. So for the flavors - - Sweet Frog features a bazillion different types of frozen yogurt, but the original tart is always my first choice. if you are not in to the amazing creamy tartness of original, fear not! There are a variety of flavors and toppings sufficient to please almost any palate, whether you're into rich, sweet, tart, candy, fruity, or syrupy concoctions. there are also fat free, dairy free, and sugar free choices that run the basic gamut from vanilla to chocolate, strawberry, cookies and cream, and other sorbets and fruity options. Most frozen yogurt machines are out of order. Low variety. Toppings were melted or sticking together, and did not look clean or well kept.

I literally found a bug in my frozen yogurt and I wasn't even offered a refund. It's ridiculous. If I could give it 0 stars I would. they don't ever change throw anything out because the sour patch kids are extremely hard. Just overall a terrible experience. read more

I sampled most of the flavors and the only one I liked was the original. As for toppings, they have your average selection. I consider myself a froyo connoisseur so bear in mind my review may be a little on the critical side. I am extremely disappointed with this location. If I could leave a zero star review I would. I absolutely love froyo and was excited to find a more traditional "do it yourself" place close to home. The craving for outrageous combinations of yogurt and eclectic toppings hit me at 9 PM on a Friday night. I was very pleased to see they were allegedly open until 930 PM!! Much to my dismay the staff working and cleaning up for the night decided to close early. They locked the door as I was walking up at 9:05 PM and didn't even glance at me when I knocked on the door. Even with a sign on the door clearly stating they were "open" until 9:30 on Fridays. Please change your hours or actually follow YOUR posted hours. What a poor example of a great franchise. Whoever worked Friday October 7th was either the owner or just made up new hours so they could start their Friday night partying earlier. I will not be back. read more

I tried SweetFrog for the first time the other day. I'm a Tutti Fruiti fan mainly because they offer so many other flavors that are non-dairy, soy based or unique. I was surprised to see that all their flavors were either chocolate and vanilla based or combinations. They didn't have much for fruit options except the pomegranate raspberry sorbet they are currently featuring. I ended up going with plain tart and the featured flavor and don't get me wrong - both were very good. Their toppings are standard to other yogurt locations. Pretty good. Tutti Frutti is still my first choice, but SweetFrog is pretty good too. read more

We love, love, love, sweet frog...but just a few comments to the owners on how to improve customer service and or your customers perception of their experience. First and last expression are lasting. The dirty sidewalk and overflowing trash can at the front of the store may not be the store responsibility but are definitely an eyesore. We frequent this place more often than we should, love their yogurt!! They have a great assortment of flavors and a wide variety of toppings. The staff is friendly, they greet you as you walk in and are always tidying up the topping bar. They have punch cards where you buy 10 get 1 free, ask for it at the register. read more

I used to love this place but it's pretty dirty and poor staff. The bathroom is gross and there was hair in one of the toppings. The main guy that works there just doesn't care. Bummer because this place could be really great. One of the only self serve froyo in Reston so it should be busy all the time. read more

My rating: 3.5 (rounding up to 4 because 3 seemed too harsh) Overview: Self-serve frozen yogurt shop with a variety of toppings My boyfriend and I come here often to get a sweet treat in the middle of weekday afternoons. It's usually pretty quiet when we go (around 2:30pm), but I'm sure it gets busier later in the day and on weekends. It's located in a strip mall, so parking is a little more convenient than, say, at Reston Town Center. They have a decent variety of flavors that get changed up fairly often (keeping the classic standbys like the original tart, chocolate, and vanilla). The toppings are pretty good, although sometimes the fresh fruit seems... less fresh than you'd want. But it's difficult to keep cut fruit sitting out all day *and* looking attractive. Since we come at an off time, I sometimes get the feeling that the staff is less than enthused to come out and deal with us, but they seem grudgingly amicable when they do. So... that's good. My boyfriend signed up for the rewards program (I don't remember the exact name) and they send out some pretty coupons that he's already used a couple of times. Bottom line: I wouldn't say it's spectacular, but it's not bad. I'm sure I'll be back many times. And maybe I should get on the rewards program, too. read more

I recently went to Sweet Frog, North Point to purchase a gift card for $30 for two children to help keep cool on a hot day. I promised their grandfather I would return shortly with a cool sweet treat for the family. At Sweet Frog, the merchant notified me they were unable to process the credit card so I went to Baskin Robins instead to purchase a gift card. While at Baskin Robins, I contacted my credit card company to verify the truth of Sweet Frog merchant's statement only to find out that I had indeed been charged four times @ $30 for each transaction from Sweet Frog. Two of the four transactions were canceled but I had two remaining transactions for a total of $60 and still no gift card. I bee lined back to Sweet Frog to notify the attendant of the multiple transactions and request that they be removed/credited; --literally 45 min later I still didn't receive a credit or a genuine apology for the mishap/ no offer to make up for the inconvenience. I also had my credit card company on the line to verify the validity of my claims with the Sweet Frog attendant and merchant. I was told when the manager arrived he would credit my credit card back or refund me the difference. Upon arrival and just looking me over--without even trying to review the transactions on his computer properly he notified that he would not refund the total or credit my credit card. He was unapologetic, rude and told me I could dispute the charges with my credit card company. I wonder if it were any other customer they would have received the same treatment. As a parent of Aldrin- who often supports fundraisers hosted by Sweet Frog I will not longer be taking my children to this location. read more

Our favorite yogurt place by far is the Sweet Frog franchise and we were beyond thrilled when Reston finally opened. Staff is friendly and quick to hop from behind if they smell you're a newbie. The have at least a dozen flavors vs the spots in RTC and two dozen toppings. A normal person need only to pick the smallest cup IMO. Our tab for four (2 kids under 5 and 2 healthy adults) is ~$11. read more

I got the fat-free, no-sugar-added vanilla and was expecting it to be kind of flavorless, but it was really good. I swear it's like all the frozen yogurt shops put crack in their yogurt it's sooo addicting!! This Sweet Frog opened a few months ago and seems to be doing great business. They always keep the place clean, the employees are nice, and the yogurt price seems to be much cheaper then some other places. They have a great array of toppings, a lot of healthy choices and they finally have been giving out a stamp card, which how meaningless they can be make me smile when i finally get something FREEE. Location is great - my son and I can walk here from our house. I love that they have a large variety of flavors (my favorite is cake batter!) and toppings, and being able to serve yourself a portion is great. The times I've gone it was about $6 for my small portion and my son's large portion, which I feel like is a reasonable price. Decor is nice and we like being able to sit inside to enjoy our frozen yogurt. read more

Relatively fair prices for good frozen yogurt. It's fun experimenting with different yogurt and topping combinations. I appreciate the self-serve system, as it allows you to get exactly what you want in whatever portion your heart desires. This is my favorite frozen yogurt place in Reston. They have a good variety of flavors and toppings (my husband and daughter like the little fruit pearls the best). They don't have the variety of waffle cones/accompaniments that Zinga has, but for such a small place I don't know how they would fit more in this shop! The staff is friendly and are always making sure the place is clean. I also like the tables - they turn so you can easily sample everyone else's creations. ;) read more
