This is my favorite place to get lunch lately and the irony is I'm not even a huge salad person. I love that this healthy fast casual food restaurant chain exists since most places are not that good for you on the regular. Sweetgreen makes it a lot more convenient to make better choices when you're eating out. I've had excellent service here every time! Food quality and freshness at Sweetgreen is hands down the best out of any fast casual place in my personal opinion. I love all of their choices for protein and a ton of different topping customization options. My favorites are their gaucamole greens, salmon bowls and steak bowls. Wish we had this in Hawaii - love this chipotle style salad bar. This was my second visit, my first was in SD. Much less busy here but maybe bc it was the evening rather than lunch. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. With the add ons it's not cheap but no fresh and good food is anymore. I went for make my own and that starts at $10 but with the add ons it was closer to 20. Delicious and fresh! My mom got the harvest bowl with some add ons and she was very happy. I can imagine that this place would be popular especially for take out and especially being right by the medical center. Our server had a dry sense of humor but was pleasant and kind. I think they were prolly close to closing bc someone was scrubbing the floor. We ate there - the tables are a little messy but whatever. There's cups and a water dispenser by the forks so next time we won't buy the bottled water. read more

The chicken caesar salad from here is very good! Love how juicy the chicken was, and the lime juice gave it a fun, appetizing bite that really brought all the flavors together. I would definitely order it again, but I think I would substitute the parmesan crisps for another topping if possible. It's just a bit overkill when the salad also already comes with parmesan cheese. The service is fast, and you go down the line as you order (think Chipotle or Subway style). The inside is very bright and trendy. On the pricier side, but in line with what you would expect from a health foods type of place. Also, the salads are pretty big in terms of volume, so you feel like you're eating a lot. read more

I've not gone to many of these "salad" restaurants, but my daughter wanted to go, and it was really good. I had the chicken avocado ranch salad, and it was wonderful. I especially liked the mix of roasted onions and apples on this particular salad. Very nice space. Limited tables. Service is arbitrary. You just stand in line and tell them what you want from a large variety of salads and bowls. I think my wife and daughter got the crispy rice bowls. My daughter loves this place. My favorite part of my meal was the soda. They had a vintage soda selection called Ollipop, and it was outstanding. I chose the vintage cola and loved it. Four stars for the noncommittal service, and it was pretty expensive for three salads. Had a good lunch here and would return again. read more

My coworkers and I wanted something healthy one day that wasn't our usual go-to so we decided to order from sweetgreen. I've never had it before, but what a pleasant surprise!! I got the chicken avocado ranch bowl, but subbed out the white rice, tortilla chips, and apples for herbed quinoa, roasted sweet potatoes, and spicy broccoli. All the ingredients were so fresh! Not sure how the wait time usually is for this place if you were to go in person since I ordered online and just went to pick it up, but everything was made in such a timely manner. I have come to enjoy their food, but tonight was an exception. Some ingredient (can't tell which) is VERY salty. And I paid extra for the avocado, but it's almost impossible to eat (hard and flaky, which is not how avocado is supposed to be). I'll also echo another recent comment - even though I went more than an hour before closing time, they were already running out of some ingredients. I have experienced something similar at least 3 times now, even during the day, at this and other locations. Lastly, their app stinks -- impossible to leave a comment like this directly with them. Doesn't bode well for their future I'm afraid. read more

Hail Mary pass with this Sweetgreen, closing time and only one we could make it to on foot. So, so we did. The pass was caught but SG usually has a habit of fumbling towards the end of the day with ingredients and their ability to assemble to bowls. I am a big fan of Sweetgreen and their salads and bowls but had the worst experience there recently. We walked in 30 mins before the store was set to close yet 1/2 of the ingredients were put away, all tables had chairs flipped up on them and the staff gave us dirty looks when we walked in. The manager had to force someone to stop sweeping the floor so they could make our bowls. The staff member incorrectly made both of our bowls and had to be reminded of the correct ingredients by us. Then we were lied to and told that the bowls don't come with bread even though they do, rather than just saying they were out of that as well. They're always out of ingredients. Whenever I get kale as my salad base there's always an obscene amount of stems.

I ordered my bowl. Worker added olive oil which i did not ask for and was not included in the bowl. He said "is that fine?" I said "yes" out of reaction but not even a few seconds later i said "actually sorry, can you remake the bowl, i do not want the olive oil, i have many allergies." In the dearth of food selection in Streeterville, yes, sweetgreen is pretty good. This is however the worst sweetgreen I've ever been to (though, having been to only 3, limited sample size); longest wait (upwards of 20 min and if you order on the app, order at least 45 min before the time you actually want to eat because the app time is not accurate, especially for lunch) and smallest portion sizes. Also, unlike other sweetgreen locations, there is no list where they source the ingredients. Small qualms, but it'd be nice to know. read more

Stood in line for 5 mins. Only 2 other people in line. A couple employees spoke but workers in back just kept working. Great establishment typically but obvious emphasis on meal prep as opposed to customer service. Would recommend trying a different location if in a hurry or looking for a "Quick" bit to eat. But they made a salad and grubHub delivered it on time but they didn't put dressing in the salad and no I don't have any salad dressing her, we have to throw out the whole thing! I tried to contact the customer service team and they were absolutely worthless. They sent me to GrubHub but it was the fault of the restaurant, not the delivery service. No one answers the phone, no one responds on the 'customer service" texts. So I won't be ordering from Sweetgreen again. Everyone makes mistake but the fact that there is no way to contact them to fix the mistakes is why I won't be back. It's so upsetting if they keep messing up your order. They messed it the first time, they missed my tofu and Parmesan crisps. Reported it to the manager but they only compensated and paid "cents" for the missing ingredient instead of replacing the entire order for free that ended up not eating. Last night 04/08/22 Friday, they missed my tofu and Parmesan crisp again! This is a second offense. WARNING U GUYS: check your order before u leave this branch as they will be missing some ingredients!!!!!! I wanted to call this branch at their number (847) 750-3544, when I opened my salad at home and seen no tofu and Parmesan crisps but looks like their phone isn't set-up for calls yet, it keeps saying "thanks for calling Sweetgreen, this location will be opening soon!", even if they're already open.
