They had gluten free bread, which isn't always easy to find in a bakery, so I got that. Now normally, GF bread is nothing to write home about and often resembles a spongy, white piece of foam, so I was delighted to open up the foil to see something that actually looked like real bread. This bread had crust too. It was soft and flavorful with an excellent texture. I think it's made with buckwheat, and had a bit of a sweet hint to it. The bacon was plentiful, thick, and a nice mix of crispy and meaty. I didn't want this sandwich to end. My husband got the same sandwich but on a Kaiser roll and loved it as well. The bakery itself was cozy and had a lot of options for freshly baked bread, croissants, and pastries. They had a full coffee bar with lots of options as well. I like that they have a station set up where you can add any type of milk or sweetener you want, as well as condiments, plasticware, to-go bags and more. And for dessert, I got a GF brownie to go...it was phenomenal. Big, moist, delicious, and had a layer of chocolate fudge and chunks on top. My only regret is that I didn't find this place at the start of my trip, because I would have been there every morning. I can't wait to come back on my next visit to Saratoga!

And, yet. On a recent trip to the Glens Falls area I ordered the same breakfast sandwich from Spot Coffee three mornings in a row. All the mornings I was in the area in fact. It was called Mike's breakfast sandwich. And, look. I don't know who Mike is--but his taste in breakfast sandwich toppings? Top notch. I got mine on a plain bagel and it comes with egg, provolone, and cream cheese. It's almost poetic in its simplicity. And, sheer perfection. They also have coffee, of course, which I very much enjoyed as well. Each morning I got one of their specialty lattes. One morning I got their spiced cookie latte and the other two mornings I got their frosty mint mocha. Both were fabulous and I was able to sub almond milk, which was great. I ordered delivery and they packaged everything beautifully and it arrived still quite warm. Thank you Spot Coffee for making this girl's winter work travel just a skosh more warm and welcoming. Get to it!

Decided to try their BLT and had a hot tea. Please expect to not receive your loose tea rinds as they steep it there for you. This adds time and will not allow for a second hot water fill. For a $5.00 tea, I do wish they allowed us to have the rind as mine was watered down. The barista added hot water as the tea steeper didn't fill up for the 20 oz. It was noticeable in taste. The sandwich was delicious and I look forward to seeing additional options with more protein in the future! What is nice is they have televisions as the menus, so it will be an easy addition as they update and grow their menu. All in all, I will definitely return. Look forward to seeing the updates to their business model as they grow. Current hours for the kitchen are 7 am to 2 pm and the coffee and tea portion is open until 3 pm.
