Excuse me for being cheesy but this place really is divine! We stopped here on our way home an hour south and as soon as we got home and enjoyed our treats I immediately wanted to drive back up and get some more! We got a couple of the Swans (cream puffs) and a couple of Cherry Cheesecake Tarts. Both were absolutely delicious and totally worth the calories! I'm a little glad I don't live close because if I did I'd be in there everyday for those delectable Swans. The cashier who was working was super nice and helpful and seemed happy to work there. This is one of my favorite places to eat in Logan! My kids call it "the desert shop". The ham sandwiches with the jalapeño are incredible! The tomato basil soup is the best thing ever and I usually HATE tomato soup! I could eat it every day! His salads are so creative and of course the pastries are to die for! Everything at Sweetly Divine is made from scratch with loving care and great expertise by a European pastry chef. The Polish pickle soup (think cream of potato with a kick) is my favorite! It's available every other Tuesday. The pear mousse tart and the lemon bars are my pastry faves, and the cannoli is the best outside the east coast. And the lemon bars. Oh, did I already say lemon bars? The place is small and service is friendly. I wish the pastries were labeled in the display case. The sandwiches are unique and good, with house-made condiments including pepper jellies that are available for sale, but I do think the sandwiches aren't exactly what Americans are used to. Sandwiches are bland, only served chilled and they're mostly bread, with not much to them for the price. Pastries aren't innovative, done old-fashioned, and many are done too simply and with cheap ingredients (especially creme brulee, cannoli). In fact, everything is overpriced here, dining room is small with minimal seating. Service is helpful and friendly when the owner is in, less so in the evening when employees run the joint. My mom suggested this place for a quick lunch and I was very surprised at how great this place was. A true mom and pop shop that delivers incredible food. I had the ham sandwich and mozzarella/sun dried tomatoes salad. Both of which were absolutely delicious. The fresh mozz on the salad was really good and the apricot spread with the ham sandwich was AMAZING. The portions were perfect, the price was decent, and it felt good to help a small business like this. For $8 I come away from fast food places feeling gross. For that same $8 I had one of the best lunches I've had since moving here to Logan. Highly recommend this place to anyone. How is this store still in business? I don't understand how it gets such high reviews. Every time I walk in there there is either no one behind the counter or the store is empty with one employee standing around. The owner, Mark, isnt very friendly either. He wrote slanderous reviews for another local business after that business donated over $300 to Sweetly Divine. The cannolis are not good either. They taste as if they've been sitting there for 24+ hours: soggy and tasteless. My first experience wasnt the best, but I was willing to try again. The second visit was just as pathetic. Wont be back again. Two stars just because the place is clean, the employees i've interacted with were friendly, and the presentation of the food is good. read more

I've been to Europe. I lived in London for a while, even. Norway, France, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden... been there. I love European pastries and sweets. It's like someone beamed one of the patisseries to the little valley of Logan, Utah. Cannoli? In Cache Valley? I'm there. Creme brulee. Shortcrust fruit tarts. Eclairs. Bear claws. Strudel. St. Honores. Cream puff swans. Lots of other goodies. And they're all good. And in one place. At Sweetly Divine. Now, I go for the desserts, but apparently their sandwiches, soups, and salads are also unspeakably good. I like that they're open until 10 PM, which is usually about the time I go, "Hey... how about dessert?" The chef is friendly, funny, and talented. I love that he's a local business owner. Sweetly Divine is in a pleasant location. The waitress was helpful, and the menu looks intriguing. They also sell a number of specialty flours and gluten free products. We were there for a to-go box of pastries. My friend and I each made two selections, with the help of the employee behind the counter. Twelve dollars later, and we were on our way home for a night of movies and delicious desserts, or so we thought. First, the good things. The lemon bar was great. Perfect crust to lemon filling ratio. The eclair was only mediocre. The raspberry tart was a disappointment as well, mostly because the fruit on top was not yet ripe enough for consumption. The rum ball, that I ordered after much encouragement from the employee, was actually gross. Like taking a shot of gin without any of the benefits. Here's the sad thing: earlier in the day my friend and I had purchased supplies for pot de creme. They took minimal effort, cost all of $5 to make, and were sublime; far surpassing any of the overpriced goodies we'd gotten at Sweetly Divine. I suppose there is a higher lesson than, "don't get dessert at Sweetly Divine," to be learned here, but that's the one I'm taking away. I've had a sandwich here every day for the past week (that's when my sister showed me the place) and I plan on having a sandwich there every day for a long time. The jelly that they use is unique and great. I had the soup for the first time and it was great. The meatballs were lightly flavored and it was a good balance of flavor. I've been to Sweetly Divine for lunch one time and for a dessert three times. No doubt the desserts are stellar and highly recommended. For lunch I ordered one of the pre-made pastrami sandwiches. It was wrapped in plastic and kept in the front cooler. The problem with pre-wrapped sandwiches is that the bread quickly goes stale in the cooler, one cannot customize, and there is always a weird moisture built up from condensation. The sandwich was not much better than what could be purchased at an airport. The pastrami was chopped into bits instead of slices. Two bites had hard pieces of gristle. The cashier did a great job with the transaction. As I sat down to eat she came around to the front of the counter to smooch her boyfriend goodbye. It wasn't tacky but certainly wasn't professional. Delectable pastries! Delicious sandwiches, we especially love Gyros that he serves on Wednesdays. All sandwich bread is baked right in the bakery and it's always delicious. I ordered a birthday cake for my husband here once and it was the best cake we ever had, worth every penny!! We come here as often as we can for date night and anniversary treats. Don't listen to complaints, this place is great and the prices are fair because the ingredients he uses are high quality and pastries are a work of art. The only thing about the cannoli is that the owner doesn't use Ricotta, which actually does make a difference, but nonetheless, still meets your sweet tooth needs. I've been here twice. Once with my wife and once with my whole family because we enjoyed it so much the first time. I have two pastry shops in Utah that I will always seek out now. Mrs Backers in SLC, and Sweetly Divine in Logan. The owner is VERY helpful in explaining the different pastry options. He is friendly and you can tell he loves what he does. Some of the pastries could be considered mildly overpriced like the cream puff swan, but then again you are paying for the presentation and work of art which I am fine with. I didn't mark it 5 stars because I enjoyed the selection and flavor intensity at Mrs Backers more. But it's still 2nd best of what i've had as far as french/european pastries go. read more

If you want a really good pastry or dessert, you MUST stop by. I have had countless different things here. Some were better than others, but even my lesser favorites were still really good! Rum balls, eclairs, marzipan cigars, pear mousse, chocolate strawberries, and so many more are among my favorites. I even requested a special cake for my wife's birthday and it was amazing! I've heard complaints about him being grumpy, but it's pretty hard to imagine. Every time I've been there, whether it be with my kids, by myself, or on a date, the owner and his staff have always been super friendly. I've tried a couple of soups here, but not the sandwiches. We went for the first time today for lunch. Ordered 1/2 pastrami, 1 turkey sandwich and the bowl of pickle soup. The soup was good, not amazing but fine. We were really disappointed to get soggy sandwiches. They were premade and wrapped in plastic wrap. My pastrami got warmed up in the microwave for 20 seconds which added to the sogginess. Best place for dessert in town not even close but the real reason behind this review is to shout out Mark. I recently asked the guys at Sweetly Divine to recreate a birthday cake for me that my family has every year. With covid 19 restrictions in place i didn't want to go to Salt Lake for the cake so i sent a picture of the cake and let Mark go to work. He did an unbelievable job recreating and actually improving upon the original that i will never return to Salt Lake or anywhere else for a birthday. To all those in Cache Valley who need a great cake stop going to Walmart or Smiths. Please support the local guy and hit up Sweetly Divine i promise you wont regret it. And for those curious he totally couldve charged us more for this cake and i would've gladly paid it but his price was totally reasonable and fair for making our cake. read more
