Sweetwater Home Services through Home Depot install of two Rheem water heaters using ProPEX Uponor LF brass copper press fittings
    Brian O.

I visited my local Home Depot to check out the water heaters and to get an installation quote. Stan at Home Depot in plumbing department greeted me and explained the process and input my contact information and water heater needs into their system to have their trusted trade partner, Sweetwater Home Services, contact me to provide a quote. Sweetwater Home Services representative Yolanda called ne promptly within a few hours and went over all the details and had me send in photos of the attic access and existing water heaters in attic to be replaced, in order to help me out versus an on-site visit since it was the day before Christmas Eve. Yolanda went over the costs for the Rheem water heaters sold by Home Depot and quoted the cost for me to upgrade for a 12 yr Rheem versus the 6 yr Rheem since I want a higher energy efficiency rating and the 3 yr in-house parts and labor warranty Rheem provides on the 12 year model. The plumbing crew showed up on time as scheduled the Monday after Christmas and worked very methodically and efficiently with quality workmanship and attention to detail to drain and remove the existing water heaters and to began the installation of new plumbing supply line for water and gas using the best quality stainless, copper, and brass fittings and valves for the supply lines and using ProPEX Uponor pressed fittings to make connections to existing Pex water lines along with black iron pipe to plumb natural gas. Yolanda said that Sweetwater Home Services would include everything necessary to meet current municipal building code in Georgetown and they did exactly that with new drip legs on the gas supply as well as the required Expansion Tanks along with new larger drain pans. The two lead plumbers and helper were obviously very experienced and they demonstrated excellent workmanship in completing the installation and tests before turning on the gas and water to ensure proper operation and settings. The cost of water heater replacement has risen in the last ten years since I had a plumbing company replace one in our last house, but after checking Lowe's and a few other plumbing companies, I was able to save a few hundred dollars even with the upgrade to a 12 yr model by proactively installing both instead of only the one that failed since they were both 13 yrs old and had went through the winter storm last February. I'd recommend Sweetwater Home Services for anyone needing to replace a water heater for the quality workmanlike manner in which they work along with the quality plumbing fittings, etc they use on installs. It appears they also do RainSoft water softeners through Home Depot, so I will call them first the next time I have a water heater or water softener go out.

Hi Richard, I hope you're doing well. I have a slight situation with the Sweetwater Home Services located at 1724 Cheddar Loop Road Austin, Texas 78728. I brought the water softener from that location about two years ago. According to the agreement, I am supposed to get 10 years of soap package, which translates to two sets of soap packages. Justin delivered one set for me and another for my neighbor as a referral bonus in lieu of the $100 Home Depot gift card. Justin also said that once I run out of soap, I can call up Sweetwater and they will deliver the second set to me. It seemed like a great bonus to the product and we signed the contract. However, I was denied when I went to the location to pick up the second set. I have listed the list of events: On Nov 3, 2021, at 8.09 pm - I emailed the Sweetwater Home Services salesperson, Justin, that from the two sets of soap boxes he had dropped off, one set was from me and the other was for my neighbor as a referral bonus. On Nov 3, 2021, at 8:12 pm - The Sweetwater Home Services salesperson, Justin, agreed that one set was for me and the other was for the referral. Furthermore, Justin stated that I could call them and they would deliver another set to me at any time. On Sept 30, 2023 - I went to the Sweetwater Home Services office to request for the soap set. The manager did not even come out to the customer area to discuss the situation and flatly denied my request. To add insult to injury, when I emailed Justin, he also stated that I was not eligible for the second set and refused to send me the second set. I would greatly appreciate it if you would please look into the matter at your convenience. Thank you,

    Christine M.

We just bought a new house, which means that everybody and their uncle is sliding into our mailbox to either scam us or sell us something. Along comes Sweetwater Home Services with this gem of a postcard containing multiple hallmarks of a scam: * No business name mentioned * Ripoff of a well-known company's styling (Home Depot's colors and font) * Sense of urgency ("call within 72 hours") * Sense of exclusivity ("opportunity to receive...") Luckily we have Google these days and I was able to quickly ascertain that the phone number belonged to Sweetwater and that the promised gift card is for agreeing to a "complimentary water analysis" (and presumably a lengthy high-pressure sales pitch). 1 star for the spam and deceptive marketing practices. It's gross and if their company's service and products were up to snuff, they wouldn't have to resort to this.

Love the Sweetwater Home Service team including installation and customer service whom follow the pandemic safety rules by wearing mask and practice distancing. Highly recommend water specialist Jeff Bononchini who is very professional in his field of work and prompt follow up. His patience in explaining how soft water work and follow up with every single questions/doubts never stops impress me.

How to check if my water softener is working to the optimum conditions. What is the best way to check if the water hardness is at right level?

Hi Sunil, the best way to check would be to get a soft water test kit. Please call our office and we can send you out a test kit free of charge. Thank you.

Avi was an absolutely delight. Fast, clear communication before the initial meeting. Very thoughtful approach in our initial meeting. So many images from their highly impressive portfolio to help us think through options. Excellent examples of communication and workflow from previous projects. Instantly ready to share previous customers we could reach out to for references. A really good balance between sharing his ideas for our project, but also really listening to our feedback on what we wanted/invisoned. All the right insights for how to keep us in budget, and very generous with (we can add this/that for little/no extra costs since we're already doing XYZ). We mainly requested a bid on two projects (Kitchen and Primary Bathroom) and help deciding the scope for the remainder of our projects (Flooring, Guest Bath, Office, Patio, Etc.). We were very impressed with how realistic, but also open-minded he was with what portion of our "bonus" projects we could fit in. The formal quote came in fast after our initial meeting, was easy to follow, and fairly priced. Found the proposed timeline to be very well balanced for efficiency vs realism. Appreciated the suggestions provided for if we should/could "live-in" during the remodel vs. a timeline that would allow the bulk of the work to overlap with a time that we were going to be out of town already. Also insights on what it would be worth "buying in advance" to take advantage of sales, even if the actual work was delayed. We got a few quotes and would have felt confident moving forward with any of them when the time came, but the quality of their portfolio and Avi's attentive listening definitely put Teamwork Home Designs at the top of the list. Can't wait to work with them in the future.

The team appeared comfortable working on bathroom renovations; however, the shower diverter was not installed correctly, which caused the handle to be improperly aligned. We later hired a licensed plumber to inspect and correct the issue. Overall, the quality of work did not meet our expectations. Some aspects of the workmanship appeared rushed, and based on our experience, I would recommend exercising caution with detail-oriented tasks such as wood staining, drywall, painting, or door hardware installation. This project did not go as smoothly as anticipated, and I would not choose to work with this company again.

He did an amazing…read morejob and went above and beyond to make sure everything - absolutely everything, was perfect and to our liking. I was in awe of his attention to detail, the care he showed from the beginning of the process to the very end and the precision with which everything was executed. A+ indeed!!! Here is the whole story for those interested: We are in the process of bringing our whole house into the 21st century and we decided to start with the hardest, but probably most exciting - our kitchen. It took several months for us to come up with the design and pick the cabinets. We knew we would most likely pick IKEA cabinets as they are about the only place in town that offers great modern-looking cabinets. We looked at Lowes, Home Depot and Cabinets to Go, just to check them off the list and decided to go with IKEA in the end, just as we thought we would. Another reason we went with IKEA was because they offer an online kitchen planning tool where you can do your layout and see how everything fits and IKEA will even verify your plan and create a shopping list for you so you order everything that's needed. We also liked IKEA's price transparency - you make your plan, you pick your cabinets and the program calculates the total price of your kitchen for you. We even thought we would get the countertop there and have everything installed by IKEA, to make the process super easy and simple. So once we designed the kitchen, picked our cabinets and were ready to move forward with installation, it turned out not everything was that simple. IKEA told us that we would not be able to get what we wanted because they hardly do any customizations - they don't cut cabinets, they don't cut doors, they wouldn't put a panel we wanted on one of the kitchen walls and they wouldn't even adjust an insert for a 12" cabinet to have one shelf instead of two! And every time we talked to an IKEA rep they told us a different thing! We were getting frustrated and after several weeks of trying to make adjustments and make compromises, we decided that we need to go with plan B - find someone else to install our kitchen. While starting looking for someone else, I remembered that one of my friends, who had her kitchen done recently, highly recommended Aplus. I found the phone number and called. I left a message and Alex promptly returned my call. He came over that same week to look at the space and I immediately had a good feeling about him. I emailed him the kitchen plan and he provided a quote a few days later. The quote was comparable to IKEA price-wise, but we were getting everything we wanted and more, so I told Alex that we, of course, are going to pick APlus! Installation was very smooth and I felt like it was more of a collaboration than a hired contractor doing an installation. I told Alex that there were some things I was not sure about and wanted to see how each version would look before deciding on the final one and Alex was more than happy to accommodate and he provided lots of invaluable advice, too. He also provided extra services per our request. We wanted to install laminate on all three walls in the kitchen to serve as backsplash and when I told him that I had trouble finding someone to do it, he agreed to install it and it looks perfect! He also installed the exhaust hood - and it's perfect, of course. I tell you - we would hire Alex to do EVERYTHING he would agree to do with the rest of the remodel - that's how much we trust him and appreciate the quality of his work. I know I am going to sound very sentimental when I say this, but I truly feel that he is a rare gem that we were lucky to find. The love and care he puts into his work is absolutely priceless!
