Perfectly unpretentious! I stopped by for lunch on a weekday and was able to be seated right away. This place had really good reviews and I was excited to try. They had a pork tenderloin sandwich that sounded really good, so I decided on it. I lived in Indiana a few years and I was expecting one of those pounded-thin fried tenderloins, but instead it was grilled. Probably better for my waistline anyway, and still very tasty! It's a bar-like atmosphere inside, and looks like it'd be a really fun place to go in the evening, especially with a few other fun places in the same area. Really great little spot, would definitely recommend!

This place is a hidden gem! It looks like a dive bar, but don't let the atmosphere steer you away from eating here! The staff is so friendly and really makes sure you have a great meal. The food here is fantastic and it is all homemade. I have eaten here twice now and it has been wonderful each time. I highly recommend their grouper sandwich, especially when it's fried or blackened! They also have daily specials and when we visited on Tuesday the special was beef tacos. The tacos were delicious, authentic, and fresh! This place is just awesome and we always make sure to come here whenever we visit the island.

Unbelievable dive. Get food!! Perry is the man and Tamberly is a top not entertainer that can sling drinks with the best of them. We had bonnethead and Atlantic sharp nose shark and it was amazing. We'll be back!

Coconut pineapple cake was to die for!

Everything we ordered was insanely good, from chicken tenders made from locally raised chicken, home-made potato chips, blackened grouper and hearty burgers. Best of all was the local crowd. Warm and friendly hardworking folks meeting-up after work to just chill-out. They were all so welcoming to my family who was clearly not from the area. Kelly the bartender/waitress was so friendly and helpful, an ideal hostess. A great finish was their homemade pineapple coconut cake with a tres-Leche moist consistency -crazy delicious. Couldn't have asked for a better local find: authentic and down to earth atmosphere, people and great eats. Looking forward to returning soon.

    Excellent sauce.

He asked us how we were thinking of cooking the fish, and what we were making (ie- pan, fish tacos). He then gave us some recommendations and told us about each of the selections. The store also had some frozen options and there were some souvenirs. The guy at the counter was friendly. The only reason I don't give this place 5 stars was the price. I just went to the local fresh fish market at Platt's in Myrtle Beach one month ago, and most prices here were almost DOUBLE what I paid there. My husband and I discussed that the rent is likely much higher on Hilton Head and they likely have a more affluent clientele that affords these prices. I got the cheapest options to take back to Charlotte in my cooler. I bought 1 lb of tuna ($23), 1 lb of XL shrimp ($16), and 20 of their $1 oysters in season. The gentleman generously gave me 24 oysters for $20. He also offered ice for my cooler. Customer service was excellent. I spoke with one of the regular customers while waiting in line and they highly recommended everything. I'm adding a photo of the tuna rice bowl I made. Ignore the fact that I overcooked it, it was my first time. However, the fish tasted excellent. I really liked the Asian cucumbers I made to go with it !

As we arrived here we were taken aback by just how pretty it is outside and although it's too cold to sit outside this would be a great place to come in nicer weather. There is dining outside and sometimes live music. Tonight the guys were good. I bet in season this place is mobbed. There is also plenty of on-site parking and other places to shop if you felt like doing so. We ordered a dozen of the oysters and they were the kind that I enjoyed last time we were down at Hilton head - St. James oysters. They are plump and juicy with a slight brine. Absolute perfection which was beautifully presented on the tray of ice. See my pics. We decided to share a bowl of the shrimp chowder and saying that it was fabulous is accurate. Hunks of tasty, local shrimp in a creamy base, put smiles on both of our faces. I ordered the Poké bowl which was full of high grade tuna accompanied by basmati rice, chopped cucumbers that felt like they just came out of the Earth, and edamame. They were lightly seasoned with wasabi aioli which was creamy and very gentle on the palate. My partner got the low country boil which he enjoyed because he loved the shrimp and the sausage with the potatoes being done to perfection. $5 HH domestics and good service added to the pleasurable experience.

We were lucky to get seated outside because the live music and views were immaculate. The oysters were super fresh.. so fresh in fact we found a little crab in one of them. The sauce was creamy but somewhat bland, which allowed for the perfectly cooked scallops to shine. My mom got the seafood pasta which was fantastic and flavorful. The high-tops outside are great because they're completely covered, while the tables with umbrellas still get sun depending on where the sun is. They have several powerful fans outdoors plus the seating is comfortable with a great view of the trees, boat, and water. The crab punch cocktail was good, but the crab coconut rum tasted a little odd to me (their exclusive brand). I preferred the salty Chihuahua cocktail. All drinks are thankfully strong (everywhere else on the island they were weak). The Jalapeño hush puppies seem like they are made in-house, and they're very flavorful & crunchy. The hush puppies came with honey butter which was also amazing. The lunch grilled grouper fish taco was delicious & fresh. The salsa on it was very flavorful! The house-made potato chips are also great. Service was great (not rushed). They do need drink coasters (water was all over the table). We came back for dinner. They had live music. Abby& Taylor were the two different servers we had and they were both amazing. They did not rush us. The fried green tomatoes were very good with lots of pimento cheese and crunchy unlike the ones we had at Old Oyster Factory. The pineapple Mojito was good. Overall great experience!

The outdoor seating is a nice touch, with a mix of open-air tables and some covered spots at the bar for shade. The drink menu is decent, with plenty of tropical cocktails to choose from, though the beer selection is surprisingly limited for a place that stays this busy. Most of the service seems to run through the bar, and while the bar staff was friendly, upbeat, and doing their best despite being absolutely swamped, the table service was pretty spotty. The food menu is just okay--nothing terrible, nothing standout. I ordered the Caribbean Jerk Chicken sandwich at lunch, and unfortunately it did not sit well with me at all. It upset my digestive system enough to derail one of my vacation days, which definitely colored the experience. One thing that stood out was the presence of armed security guards. Not necessarily a problem, but it does create a different atmosphere than you might expect from a casual beachfront bar. Many reviews have mentioned the parking. We stayed at the hotel, so it wasn't an issue for us but somebody sitting next to me at the bar was ejected by management for something related to parking. I'm not sure of the exact details because I couldn't hear the conversation well, but it seemed to have to do with either buying or selling a parking pass with someone else. There was another incident where an unruly patron had the police called on them after engaging with one of the aforementioned security guards. That said, these seemed to be atypical of the total experience. Overall, it's an entertaining spot for drinks and music, but the unpleasant food experience land it at a middle-of-the-road three stars for me.
