Great drive-in they come to your cars and are fast and friendly!! Foods are good my favorites are Galley Boy sandwich with Onion rings and potato bites with cheese and jalapeño!! However, there are many good items to chose from for everyone's desired tastes and appetites!! We usually just order to go to eat at home or in the nearby park!! If you eat there you never know who might show up!! Be sure to leave your lights on so they know you need a waiter or waitress all are young!! Popular place for all ages. The thought of a galley boy alone makes me shed a tear if happiness. This is a old school, drive in style restaurant that features burgers, fries and shakes. Not everything they make is great, but what they are best at they do incredibly well. All the shakes are fantastic, all the burgers are fantastic and I like getting their tots too. Burgers are all good. We stop for onion rings and shakes mostly. Try the blueberry milk shake if you get a chance.

5 Stars! Heard of Swenson's for the first time last week from a coworker. Other coworkers chimed in and gave it a vocal thumbs up as well, so I decided to give it a shot. EVERY PERSON suggested the Galley Boy sandwich so that's what I ordered. Super nice drive-in type of restaurant. The waiter was on top of it. Quick, super nice, and got our order right the first time. Food was done quickly and tasted great. We will definitely be back!!! read more

I have no words how amazing this place is with their food. Park up with the headlights in and they will come to your car window to take your order. Their cheese burgers are omg so soft, exceptional and delicious. Fries are great. As well they have appetizer bites of different kinds which makes it all a fine place for a munchie. read more

Everytime I go here the service is absolutely fantastic and the food is wonderful! My favorite is the Toasted Cheese with Coney Sauce added. Just left the Jackson location. My daughter and I both had Galley boys and fries. Fries were good but burgers were a sloppy mess that did not taste good. I asked for a refill on my soda before leaving and was told they are not allowed to give refills. I have not been to one of your restaurants in about 15 years and most likely won't be back. There are many places where my money goes further and the food is better. The lack of prices on the menu also bothered me. read more

Swenson's is a great place to get a hamburger and fries - their other side items (breaded mushrooms, especially) are also exceptional. It's a once-every-couple-months treat for my family to get to Swenson's. My personal favorite is the Galley Boy; my wife says the "Salad Boy" (e.g. a veggie burger) is really good, too. It was OK, but I imagine that's more because it was a fakemeat patty than because it was Swensons. read more

Not sure who was running the fryer last night but our take out Cajun Fries were RAW on the inside. Never again.

Ordered 2 Galley Boys to go at 1:36 pm today and it took 20 minutes to get them. They weren't even busy and I paid and tipped when I placed my order. I shouldn't of tipped in advance because our server waited on everyone else and didn't care about our order because he already got his tip. It wasn't until I flagged another server that I got my order. The other server was surprised it took that long too. Very disappointed because I have never been there before. This is by far one of the most unprofessional restaurants that I have had the "pleasure" of visiting if you call it that. My sandwich was messy and seemed to mimic McDonald's $1. Weird because I paid so much more than $1 for it even though that's what it's worth. I got the wrong flavor milkshake and I refused to talk to the servers running around so finally the general manager came out to our car-- Nancy I think her name is-- well she's flat our rude and shouldn't be in her position. When I said I'd like it all remade she told em she would but it's taste the same. ARE YOU SERIOUS? I got angry and shooed her from my car and then she went inside and proceeded to scream at her employees for making my food wrong. She was so loud I heard her along with the rest of the customers outside with open doors and windows. Not to mention all the metal in her face, and wearing skull leggings????? Not professional at all. That's whose in charge of the safety and accuracy of my food? If I saw how uncaring of her own appearance the general manager I wouldn't wonder why my food was messy. You need to get a leader in there who actually cares. She's a great disappointment and I will most definitely not be returning. Rather go to McDonald's or Wendy's for all that matters. Have no idea why anyone would think this place is good. Apparently because I guess they went there as a teenager,it is more a fond memory of date night than good food. Ordered serloin steak sandwiches, gally burger, onion rings and shakes. They steak sandwiches consisted of a flavorless overcooked piece of meat that was not even sirloin steak, and didnt even fill half of the sandwich bread, not to mention they didnt even put the extras on we ordered, the burger sucked so bad it is impossible to imagine anyone could think this is some award winner of any stretch. Maybe worst burger anyone e can make award. It was overcooked ,bun was stale and crunchy, and the thing looked like they stepped on it before wrapping. Didnt even get the onion rings we ordered, and shakes were more chockolate milk than shakes. You can skip this place for sure and go to Sonic down the street were they at last get your order right. Super suck award for worst fast food ever! Wish i could give negative stars. Dont know about the other locations, but jackson township one needs to fire the entire staff, never seen such a bigger bunch of idiots in my life. Couldnt seem to understand anything we told them and made him repeat it back several times as it was clear he was suffering from a severe case of the stupids and they still got everything wrong. Not the only time ever went there either, tried it once before and the burgers were just as sucky,but was told it was probably just a off day and they make the greatest burger you'll ever have.
