I only wish for 2 things; bring back potato chips (I hate salad, ha) and to offer cheaper prices (although I know you have rent to pay, so I don't hate you for being pricey). A tiny cafe tucked in a residential area. Was there the first time for coffee while we wait for seating at BLVD restaurant next door. However we discovered that way in the back past the washroom is a cozy outdoor intimate patio. loved the atmosphere (had a conversation with a random couple in the patio) and went back again this time to try their sandwich. The spicy Italian sandwich was nice and hot, the potato salad was worth the extra $2 and it came with free pretzels. But again the nicest thing was we struck up another conversation in the patio - it's nice to be in a friendly neighbourhood! read more

I was in the neighbourhood and the yelp reviews told me this would be a cool experience. As a vegetarian, I only had two options so opted for the "Up your ally" sandwich with a bunch of greens and three kinds of cheese. I pictured a greasy fatty mess of a sandwich with a piece of vegetable in there for show, but surprisingly got a well-balaned sandwich with loads of vegetables. I could swear the avocado was just opened, the tomatoes were just sliced from whole, and the bread just baked that day. Everything was SO FRESH. There is olive oil set out on the tables that is smoked paprika/garlic flavour that adds a new level to whatever you put it on. I was pleasantly surprised overall at the way it was put together but it didn't blow my socks off. It was, after all, just a sandwich with your average toppings. But what WAS amazing was the freshness. So for that reason, plus the lovely modest atmosphere (cute pussywillows in little vases, set on a quiet sunny off-street) I'd come back for a quick lunch :) read more

Good place for lunch, one of the few inviting places in and around the area. Sandwiches are well proportioned. Bread is decently fresh as expected. Price margin is respectable. We have gone a couple times with kids. They usually have a cold pasta option which we get for our son. The sandwiches are amazing but I would skip out on the coffee. I've never had their baked goods but looks really good. A little on the pricey side. Around $30 for a couple sandwiches and a small pasta. Had lunch here today and everything was great - service, sandwiches, AND coffee. Note that the sandwiches were large and a bit messy, so you might want to share and grab a napkin! New owners have taken over this cute little neighborhood cafe. It is no longer Cocoa Lattes It has lost its charm, the quality of coffee has dropped dramatically, just when we had found a great coffee shop with great coffee in our neighborhood. It is now a sandwich bar. Way over priced and average tasting. The new place has a very masculine country feel, country music and decor I don't mind change WHEN it is good. Maybe in time the coffee will come back to the standards we enjoyed, but till then we will look elsewhere. read more

We were excited to eat here after checking out their menu online and thought it was great that they used locally sourced, quality ingredients. The food itself was good, but I kinda lost my appetite after viewing several things: 1. While making our sandwiches the owner (no less!) who we recognized from the website, ate something off the cutting board then continued making them 2. He shook hands with someone over the sneeze guard and then continued making our food (we all know some guys don't wash their hands after the loo!! ewww!!!) 3. He dropped the knife on the floor and, instead of it going into the sink, it ended up back on the food prep area next to the cutting board. (luckily by this time he had finished making our sandwiches!!) I had a hard time gearing up to eat my sandwich and only did so after my man convinced me that we have probably eaten food in other places with dubious hygiene without knowing it/seeing it. Sigh, it's too bad we had to see that because I'm not sure I would go back now. They do have the right idea, a local place with sandwiches made from quality ingredients. Really great sandwich! I even ordered the veggie sandwich and didn't realize it had sprouts (which I couldn't eat because I'm pregnant). It was totally my fault, as I didn't read all the ingredients clearly listed in their menu. However, when I went back up to re-order the same sandwich (fully prepared to pay) they wouldn't let me and gave it to me on the house! I went to this place for lunch with a friend. It's a cute little place with a garden and patio in the back. We sat outside and I had the turkey and cranberry sandwich with brie. The portion was big- for me anyway. And this was probably one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The outside was crunchy and inside was juicy (but not soggy). Everything inside the sandwich went well together. And although it wasn't in the menu description, the slight bit of spice in the mayo/marmalade kept the sandwich unique yet delicious.
