If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I've purchased two brand-new trucks from this dealership, and after this experience, I will never buy another vehicle here again. Do not waste your money on the extended service warranty or prepaid oil changes. The service department is a complete disappointment. I worked with Cole Walleri, and his customer service was incredibly rude and dismissive. More than once, he acted as if I wasn't even standing in front of him. I dropped my truck off at noon for a scheduled oil change appointment. At 4:30 p.m., I returned and asked for an estimate on how much longer it would take. I was told "about 20 minutes." An hour later, my truck still wasn't ready. When I went back to ask again, I was simply told "soon." I reminded him that he had said 20 minutes an hour earlier, and his response was, "You asked for a guess." The lack of communication, professionalism, and respect for customers' time is unacceptable. After purchasing two vehicles from this dealership, I expected much better treatment. This experience has ensured that I will never return and will never recommend this dealership to anyone. read more

I leased a vehicle from here when they were still Alaska Sales and Service and had great experiences with everything. But then, when the ownership changed, all of a sudden everything went downhill. When I brought my car in back in 2022 for service, I had made an appointment online. I was informed that "online appointments don't work" and scheduled out several weeks. As I then bought my car, I decided I would do everything in my power to avoid coming here for service. My car has started doing some strange things that I'm guessing might be related to a computer issue, but I'm not entirely sure. I went to the website to look into making an appointment and tried making one online. There was nothing on the website about online appointments only being for certain things, and I clearly described my issue. We brought my car in today and I was informed that they don't do appointments for diagnostic concerns, that I have to leave my car here for at least two weeks because they are "30 cars behind," and that online scheduling is only for "things like oil changes." Why didn't anyone call me when my appointment appeared on their schedule if this is the policy? Why doesn't it say this on the website? Who can just leave their car somewhere for a minimum of two weeks? I am so fed up that this is my experience every time I try to come here for service. I wasted my time driving over here for nothing. Also, if you try calling them, you have to deal with AI and can't actually speak to a person about your concern. read more

Lack of mechanics to perform the work, having an oil change that lasts all day long, not being able to look at a vehicle with issues to diagnose them for a month and then needing up to 2-3 months beyond that for the actual repairs. What a joke that they say their service exceeds expectations and has a heart...we can't even get our windshield which is under warranty fixed because they apparently can't figure out where to send it to be repaired. I hated it. You jerked me around and kept my truck for a month. I had to rent a vehicle at a cost of over $1000 because you were short staffed and couldn't work on my vehicle in a timely manner. You didn't have the professionalism to just tell me the truth. I had to repeatedly leave work to stop by the business because you would not consistently communicate with me or answer my calls in a timely manner. You should have been honest about what was going on with my truck instead of stringing me along when you weren't actively working on it. In the end, I received nothing from Swickard to make me whole. I talked to a salesman about buying a new GMC, but now I don't trust your company enough to do further business with you. I am considering legal action to recoup some of my costs. read more

Horrible business. The Service Department is improperly trained and poorly managed. Took our Cadillac in for a brake inspection and a general service, plus a quote request for a replacement full size spare rim and tire. After 7 days, once I eventually CALLED THEM, they stated the brakes were 4-6 mm and estimated $2200 for repair and the spare rim/tire would be $1400. I asked what the 4-6 mm represented; is that thickness remaining? Is that a brake pad measurement or some sort of rotor measurement, what is the recommended replacement or even the brand new spec, etc.? Is that what they measure now? What should they be? They couldn't answer any questions, could only read me that a tech wrote..."brakes are 4-6 mm"; they had no idea what it meant or what they even recommended, only that they wanted $2200 from me to do something with the brakes. And then $1400 for a rim and tire? I have no idea who these crooks actually service but that takes serious audacity (or ignorance) to show up to work every day to try and rob hard working people to the tune of three thousand and six hundred dollars for a brake job and a spare wheel. The owners and managers of this organization should be ashamed. They probably cannot see through the dollar signs now, but it'll eventually run dry. This unskilled money grab can't last forever....they'll eventually run out of the low hanging fruit and will need to face educated consumers. Unscrupulous and dirty business practices are rarely sustainable for long. If you need anything beyond a drone hooking up a diagnostic scanner and changing a simple part, maybe changing some fluids (even that seems risky) I would NOT bring your vehicle to this dysfunctional, unethical, substandard 'workplace'. read more

Horrible parts service. Yesterday, I went in to pick up a prepaid part and the parts guy was shutting everyone down as they walked through the door and telling them he couldn't do anything because of no internet. He wouldn't even look for parts that are paid. I went back the next day and stood there for over 5 minutes while the parts guy ignored me and visited with a salesman about christmas parties and bands while helping him do his his 'Chevy gear' christmas shopping....all while customers are standing there waiting. I will go to Chevy if south Anchorage before I go to Swickard again! read more

$1800 to replace a thermosta and coolant sensor. I knew I was getting ripped like a stupid f@#$&ng idiot but at the time I had absolutely no choice. Can you believe they didn't tighten a friggin' BOLT? I noticed my coolant was leaking almost immediately. Unbelievable. Never did get that call back! Michael, service advisor, of Wasilla, made an appointment for us to bring in our 2018 Equinox to get an O2 sensor fixed along with catalytic converter replaced. The appointment took longer than originally thought and one sensor had not been ordered. He apologized for the error and made it right by getting us back in right away once the part arrived-we were on the road in less than a 1/2 hour! Good customer service:) read more

Their service department is severely mismanaged and inept. I originally arrived for an "appointment" for service to my vehicle and was told to return in about a month since they were short staffed. Upon arriving for my second appointment, I was now told that the appointment is not for the technician to perform the actual work but instead to put your vehicle in line for days to weeks for the repair. My first review was 21 days ago! We are still waiting on a diagnostic which we paid $200 just for this service. They promised 3 days ago they would move our vehicle up and call us 2 days ago with an update. They did not call. We had to call multiple times just to find out that the diagnostic was still not done. Recommendation: don't have appointments available if you do not have the time to service them that day. Cut down on your admin team and pay your mechanics more and hire more mechanics. Worst customer service in my 24 years of owning a vehicle. read more

After countless failures on their part to complete the work that my car needs, from not ordering parts until the day of my appointment (which was scheduled 3 weeks prior) to the service manager, Richard, laughing at my face and speaking condescendingly to me while implying that I am lying about my interactions with the service writers (I have 50% of it in text which is being completely disregarded). Truly the worst customer care. This was not my first poor experience with the service department, but it was the most infuriating and inconvenient. If I didn't have a factory warranty on one of my vehicles, I would never go back. I would not recommend this place to my wost enemy. read more

Avoid if you can. Bought a VW atlas. New. So many little things are wrong with it. Fuel cap door fell off. Wipers don't work. Key needs to be changed. Should be warranty items. All of it adds up as I have to purchase parts elsewhere. Service department is non responsive. In fact they included two free oil changes with the original vehicle sale. They couldn't honor that either as the service department is consistently telling me they're unavailable for months. I won't use them again. I posted a Facebook review and google review too. Both times they've responded online that they'll call me and make it right. No calls yet. read more

Tried to make an appointment in December for service on a diesel powered Sierra purchased from the dealership back when it was AK Sales and Service. Was advised that diesel appoint could only happen a month out. Arrived at my 1/16 appointment and they said it could be several weeks before the engine fault could be addressed. They installed a rebuilt alternator and serpentine belt as original alternator and belt had 175K miles. When I got home the new belt was growling. It soon failed. Another week and they report that I need to pay them $880.00-1400.00 to fix belt and tensioner. removed the truck from their care and a trusted shop replaced belt and tensioner for $500. read more

Most difficult vehicle purchase I have EVER made. Tuesday: messaged them that I want to buy a 2022 Ram 1500. I already had my loan pre approved and live in south east so buying sight unseen and just needed to pick it up the following Tuesday. At the end of the day they tell me I should choose a different truck because they lost the keys for this one and have to order new ones from Dodge and there is no timeline on when they will get them. Im like no that's not possible so I call Dodge and sure enough they have key fobs in stock and said they can get it programmed this week if Swickard can just call them and set up apt. Relay info to Swickard who agrees to make this happen and buy tickets to pick the truck up the following Tuesday. it takes them a whole other day (after many calls and texts) just to send me the purchase agreement so I can get the loan done. I follow up with both Swickard and Dodge to make sure the vehicle will be done on time. Monday morning I call Dodge to see if Swickard dropped off the truck. they say they just talked to them and they are waiting on the tow truck. Tuesday husband shows up to pick up the truck and they NEVER GOT IT TO DODGE claiming that Dodge doesnt have key fobs again. I literally have to facilitate the appointments, the fob and everything from home while my husband sat in Anchorage for TWO WHOLE days waiting for this truck. What a nightmare. to top it off they only got one Fob when they said there would be two and they forgot the temporary plate so my husband had to go back after driving a few miles down the road.
