We worked with a new sales rep named Mike, he was cool but a bit uninformed when it came to a used car we purchased. Most of it was our fault since we were in a rush, but we trusted our sales rep when it came to missing cosmetic parts in t he car. He answered that that's how it was supposed to be but after doing some research the car was to have so many little things, of course you buy as is, but lying that the car didn't originally come with it was a little messed up. Overall he was nice and worked well with us, we could have got a better deal by taking it out on a brighter day or to our own personal mechanic. We missed a lot of stuff that night. read more

This is a Parts review. It's funny, the little things you come to expect from car dealerships. I've grown accustomed to seeing signs as large as the brand name that say "sales," "Parts," "Service," and so on. I drove a complete lap of this place before I finally noticed the sign--right out front--that said "Parts." Kinda felt like an idiot, and, usually, when ya feel that way, it's at least partly your fault. But I can't say they make it obvious where the Parts entrance is. I got in and eventually found my way to the parts counter, where they very quickly fetched and installed what I needed with a reasonably cheerful attitude and a totally professional approach. I'm never crazy about paying dealer prices but I didn't stock up ahead of time and I needed a bulb to be street-legal. I will say that having to hit a dealer has reminded me to mail-order stuff in advance so I don't get stuck paying triple what a part is really worth. read more

This is the worst service I've ever had in my entire life! I arrived in my new car for the fourth warranty service, 20,000 miles. This service includes an engine oil change with filter after 10,000 miles, tire rotation, etc. Before leaving the car for them, I checked the engine oil on a napkin and left it in the car. After 2 hours I received an SMS that the service was completed and I could pick up the car. I picked up the car and the next morning I decided to check the engine oil level using the same napkin - and I saw the same dark brown color of the 10,000 mile engine oil. Their entire service consisted of them zeroing out the readings on the dashboard in my car and not doing anything else! I came to them this morning and asked a question - why is there old motor oil in my engine after the service!? to which they began to tell me that they looked on the computer for information about my visit yesterday and they were absolutely sure that the oil had been changed! I told them to check the oil again and they laughed at me, they took a sheet of clean paper and dropped oil from the dipstick of my engine and after that they dropped new oil next to it and fell silent... I told them - look what the new oil looks like and what the oil looks like which worked in the engine for 10,000 miles! after that they began to assure me that the new oil in the engine was mixed with the old oil and that's why it had this color, I firmly said no! it is not true ! and after that they said that they would change the oil right away, after they unscrewed the drain bolt on the engine pan and dark brown engine oil poured out, which had been used for 10,000 miles - I told them LOOK AT THIS! after that the manager began to tell me that the oil was really old and was not replaced along with the filter and that he was very sorry for what happened!!! I don't need any apologies! I was deceived by this service and if I had not insisted on changing the engine oil, then my new engine would have run 20,000 miles without an oil change and this would have led to a decrease in engine life, as engine oil loses its properties, which leads to wear parts in the engine! I highly do not recommend people to use this service! read more

I went to Magic Toyota on 7/11/2020 with the goal of test driving a 2020 Rav4 XLE and 2020 Rav4 SXE Hybrid. I was unable to achieve my goal or rather, Magic wasn't able to achieve my goal, or maybe it was a joint effort? I'll let you decide after reading the review. I arrived at the dealership in the afternoon and I noticed that the sign on the door said appointments are required. I didn't set up an appointment and there's nothing on their website that mentioned this, but I figured it doesn't hurt to go in and ask. The first employee I talked to said he'll grab a salesman and their conversation went something like this: Employee 1: Hey, we have someone who wants to test drive a car, but he doesn't have an appointment. Salesman: No appointment??? On a Saturday??? The tone he said this was as if I slapped baby Jesus in the face. The salesman failed to realize I was right near him. I guess walk-ins are completely unacceptable? He finally realizes I'm near him and does the good ol' oh-shoot-I-didn't-realize-he-was-right-there-so-I'm-gonna-fumble-around-with-my-words tactic. I tell him the cars I was interested in test driving and he asks me for my license and insurance card. He makes a copy of them and returns them to me. We walk over to the cars to make sure which ones I wanted to test drive and proceeds to get the keys. The conversation when he returned went like this: Salesman: I'll need your phone number. Me: Sorry, I don't want to give my phone number. Can I give you my email address instead? Salesman: Per the document, I'll need your phone number for you to test drive. Me: Okay, I'm not interested in test driving anymore. Salesman: Ok. Now, some of you might be wondering why not just give them your number, but I didn't want to deal with a salesman constantly pestering me with phone calls. I was honestly surprised the salesman didn't even offer to accept another form of contact. Maybe a phone number is the creme de la creme of contact info? I guess email addresses and home addresses are garbage tier in the contact info world? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Then I thought maybe this was some brand new Covid19 policy, but I was able to drive to Mazda of Everett and test drive a CX-5 later that day with no appointment nor phone number. If you're reading this and thinking about a Mazda, then ask for Scotty at Mazda of Everett; he was really helpful even though I was only doing a test drive. Just bought a Tundra 1794 from Nicolo. Nicolo was awesome to work with, but the first guy that I was supposed to meet, gave me a last minute handoff to Nicolo, who got the deal. They looked like idiots right off the bat! They went the extra Mile and made a dealer trade to get me the truck that I wanted. After the sale, the follow through sucked. They did not apply my $500 deposit towards the purchase, charged me for an alarm system add-on per my request when the vehicle already had an alarm and until I called 10 days after purchase, they had not scheduled the install of the tonneau cover, side bars for bed liner. Overall, very disorganized with little to no follow through. I was going to purchase another vehicle there, but I am second thinking that now. read more

I gave our FICO score (tier 1 credit), lease payment we wanted, max down payment and 15,000 miles a year. The salesmen stated he would contact his manager for approval and call me back. He called and said it was no problem, done deal and to come on in. We went in, filled out credit application and all of the sudden OPPS!!!! "Oh I'm so sorry, I made a mistake I calculated the numbers incorrectly.... Your payment will be $55-$60 more a month at only 12,000 miles a year. DO NOT trust what they say until you sign the contract. Complete waste of our day off talking to liars who will agree with you just to get you in!! I will make sure I tell everyone I know...... NOT TO GO TO LIAR oops I mean magic toy.... I need to also mention I have been selling cars for 3 years and they still tried to play games. They also lied about their invoice price of the car. Do NOT buy a used car here. Purchased a 2008 Highlander at the beginning of the pandemic and I deeply regret it. I repeatedly expressed concerns about the tires not having enough tread, but the salesperson reassured me I just wasn't used to a vehicle with this much horsepower. Put less than 3,000 miles on the car and already need to replace ALL 4 TIRES. I now take backroads to work because the car cannot make it up any hills once 3 droplets of water have hit the pavement (turns out it occasionally rains in the PNW). To add insult to injury--when we initially bought the car, before we signed final paperwork, my pregnant wife left for work and I needed to change my 1 year old's diaper. The agent used that moment to add an additional inexplicable $300 to the base price we had already agreed upon. Taxes & fees were quickly added so I didn't notice the bait-and-switch until I got home. Sneaky, unethical and unprofessional. These people knew I was an essential healthcare worker, my wife was weeks away from delivering our 2nd child and they still decided to swindle me. Used car salesman have a reputation for a reason. These people are like Danny DaVito's character in Matilda but with nicer suits. Dishonorable business practices that make Toyota look like trash. Will never recommend to anyone in my life. Beware- the service technicians and probably the whole service department are full of crap. I brought my 2014 Tacoma in for a routine 60k oil change and 60k maintenance. Upon payment, my advisor informed me that a drive belt and throttle body needed to be replaced immediately. As a rule, I always take my vehicles to my independent mechanic to work on any major issues, or to at least verify any work suggested by the dealer. Today, my mechanic found that my drive belt was just fine, and that I would probably never need a throttle body. Magic Toyota's findings were totally absurd and a weak attempt to up sell $600 worth of needless repairs. Never, ever EVER trust a car dealership. read more

My husband and I stopped in yesterday to test drive the Highlander, which we were considering in comparison with the Honda Pilot. After telling Bill the Sales Rep that we were interested in MID-size SUVs and that we would also be leaving to test drive the Honda Pilot, he checked in with us the next day...and shared his honest thoughts on us. Ha! This text message fail proves he was not listening to us at all if this was his conclusion. See attached text message fail screenshot. At least for a laughs. Overall the experience was low pressure but compared to other dealers, was the least informative on the vehicle features than we experienced during our shopping around this weekend. I think he spent more time leaving us in a lot down the street to walk back to the dealership for the right keys than he spent explaining the Toyota offerings. This is a overdue review on my excellent buying experience from Magic Toyota. I negotiated and ordered a 2015 Sienna from Christopher Heinz while living oversea. When I moved back to Seattle, he picked me up from my house and drove me to the dealership. My brand new van was there waiting for me ready to go and I was out of dealership in 45 minutes. Amazing experience. Magic Toyota also has great service department. During one of ski trips to Stevens Pass around 2017 Christmas, I put snow chains on tires and damaged the speed sensor so the van is warning me the AWS and ABS are broken. Without an appointment, I brought my van to Khing Ly and his technician made sure the van is still safe to drive and helped me order the parts needed for repair. Their effort made my already stressful holiday season a little relaxing. I will definitely buy the other Sienna from Magic Toyota when the newly redesign model is out. read more

I have nothing but bad experiences time and time again. It honestly doesn't matter what service I go in for the workers are always condescending and really rude. I received a call just now of course from the" appraisal " or sales team which I was told that if I wanted to be treated better I need to sign into a new lease agreement where I'd be covered under warranty. I said "sir, so you're telling me In order to be treated like a human being you want me to give you more money?! Because my car is almost paid off and I'm making sure to pay it off early. Why would I want to sign up to be paying for a few more years?!" He proceeded to try and back track and change his narrative and said "that's not what I meant" I said " that may be the case however, that's is what came out of your mouth." He proceed to get angry and try and convince to sign a new lease. I informed him I knew the value of my vehicle and that I'd have more benefit selling it privately than if I were to sell it back to Toyota. Brandon was not happy to hear that I would be reporting him. I made sure to let him know I loved my vehicle but I would sadly never be buying from this property again. I only purchased from there because I knew someone who worked there. He questions me with a "who?" I informed him it wasn't really a concern to him and he blurted out "look I don't know if you're ex boyfriend worked here or whatever.." at this point I cut him off and said "sir, I am married and who are you to assume?!" He proceed to talk over me and started laughing and even HUNG UP ON ME! This must be a normal sort of behavior because when I pulled a Karen and called back to speak to management they were happy I called because when people are treated like this they never report it!!! PEOPLE YOU NEED TO START REPORTING YOUR MISTREATMENT, YOU CANNOT BE AFRAID OF THESE PEOPLE! All I have to say is if you want to be looked at simply as a wallet then this is the place for you. Stay Clear of John the sales manager! Extremely pushy and will blow up your phone constantly, I told him firmly to stop calling but sadly had to Block his number. The finance guy idk his name, he told me they would run my credit one time and even if they ran it multiple times it would be 1 hard pull. WRONG checked my credit a month later, and 10 hard pulls and my score dropped 29 points. Now it's my job to get those removed. All I have to say is RUN. Sales team does not want to help you. I was not initially working with John but he just butted in so he could get his cut of the deal. I hope this helps to anybody who reads this. read more

Not a great experience at all, Started out with Ali... Very pushy salesman and the kind of guy you honestly think of when you hear terrible car salesman. I came in to look at some different Lexus IS models, First one having some seriously ugly interior where Ali keeps going on about how much he loves it.... Great! You buy it than. After test driving a few, I tried the FSport version which is a lot more fun to drive and decided I would like to see some numbers on it. Magic is terrible at trade in prices. They had attempted to give me $3500 less than trade value and after 30 minutes with their back and forth pretending they were calling somebody and me about to walk out the door they finally met the ask. Before signing paperwork I went out to have one more look at the car and noticed a large X keyed into the passenger door. Brought this up and they agreed to fix it. With buying a used car you know there will be little things here and there but they assured me it went through a complete safety inspection. That was a lie... After taking it to Lexus for a fuel pump recall, Lexus showed me the alignment was completely off and had caused extreme tire wear on the insides of the tires and shortly after i noticed the driver bumper clip was completely busted off and it looks as if Magic threw some glue on there to hold it together. These are things you honestly cannot see and put your trust in the dealer. So after buying a $30k car from them, I immediately need to spend $1000 on a bumper, $110 on alignment and $700 on new tires. This is after being told by both Ali and the manager it has gone through a full safety inspection. I did trust that as Lexus is Toyota's premium line and figured they knew what they were doing. **Brought these issues up with the service advisor and was told basically... That sucks, You bought a used car. Service department, Took my car in on a Monday and was told it would be a few days for the paint repair. I explained I was leaving town on Thursday and would be back Sunday morning to pick it up which I was told it would be ready and waiting. Not the case, Tried calling Sunday beforehand and got zero help and than again on Monday but was told my service advisor was off. Car was not ready until the following Tuesday with zero phone call updates or anything. As to the loaner vehicle they provided, A Toyota Tacoma which was completely filthy. The truck was covered in mud and on the inside was absolutely filthy. They had not cleaned or even attempted to wipe down the vehicle. Seriously guys? In the middle of our current Covid situation and thats what you provide your customers... Wow! I will only service my other Toyota's at Rodland Toyota in Everett as they provide a truly professional experience. Be very careful if you shop here, These guys have definitely proven to not be an honest dealer and will do the bare minimum and hope you do not catch these things beforehand. I myself will not be returning here for any of my future vehicle needs. I purchase plenty of cars and have had some really great experiences... Not here at Magic Toyota though. The worst part of it all is I really enjoy their sister company, Michael's Toyota in Bellevue. I have purchased 3 vehicles from them all with really great experiences. Incredible. I brought my car in for oil change. I drove out 6 blocks to discover a scary loud grinding noise. I had to stop in the middle of the road, waived the traffic through, and looked underneath only to discover my engine tray has fallen down and dragging on the road. Incredible. Last year they did not fill my windshield fluid and lied about it until I opened the hood to inspect and caught them lying. It was dried as the light indicated. They didn't honor the coupon but didn't bother acknowledging it until I asked. It's my last with them. New or old, it's the same mentality. read more

Buyers beware!!! Inspect cars before you buy! They will not tell you if there's damage in them and won't fix it even if there is. I just bought a preowned Toyota Camry pearl white. No one person mentioned anything wrong with it and it is certified. I went to pick it up today and noticed that the hood has 7 or 8 hail damage dents. When I asked the salesman about it he said the car is sold as is. NO OFFER TO FIX IT. Wow. I just got an estimate today to fix them and it's $700 - out of my pocket. You would think salespeople these days would be honest but nope, they just want to make the sale and they are done with you. Very disappointing and will never go back. read more

The technician broke the cover to my cabin air filter and didn't say anything. Called the service dept and they said no problem we need to order the part and it will be in tomorrow and we'll call you when it arrives. That day came and went and I called later in the week. Service advisor said let me find it and call you right back. I never received a call back. I called again and was placed on hold for 20 minutes and finally hung up. I've yet to receive a single call from Magic Toyota. Update 10/13/20 Sent an email and have called Magic Toyota again. Still nothing back. read more

Car Service: We take every car in our fleet there for servicing (our service manager, Brandon, always takes good care of our company and gets our techs in and out of there). They are priced just as well as an individual mechanic, plus, all of the records are stored for when you go to sell your car in the future and those help increase the value of the car and show you've taken good care of it. Car Sales: Gabrielle was our man, however, he swanned off to Wyoming to manage a Toyota dealership there. He referred Johnny Tonka (Johnny Toyota), who took excellent care of us and who we will use from now on. His personal customer service is just above and beyond -- I cannot recommend him enough. General Staff: Everyone is so polite and sweet and really helps you out. Even when you just call with a question, you can be assured you will be treated well and your questions answered. The only reason they are getting 2 stars is because they got me in same day and got it done relatively quick. But considering they didn't even vacuum, didn't even call me or talk to me about filters needing to be replaced. I would hope it was done fast. They didn't even wash it and was out of car wash vouchers. When I went to pick up my car, the service advisors are all in their own little worlds, no greeters. I had to search for it in the lot to find it blocked by another car. To which I had to go back in request they move it. This whole experience was less than exciting and to not even have a vacuumed car just adds to the inconvenience of getting a oil change. That clean car is the silver lining and I didnt even get that. read more

Avoid going to this dealer if you could. We joined the Costco auto program and they referred us to this dealer. We went there twice to purchase our car. The first time we went there for a test drive and the salesperson went over all the price information with us including the finance options. Our credit score was pulled and the salesperson mentioned that we were eligible for 1.9% APR. However, since they made a mistake on the transmission type, they were not able to get us the car we want on the same day. We went there again a week after to purchase the car, however, we were told that we were not qualify for the 1.9% APR. We found what the salesperson told us previously was misleading and inaccurate, and we could only go for a much much much higher APR. We made the payment, signed the contract and drove the car back home. After a week, we received a call from the dealer informing us they owed us the protection package and we had to bring our car back for the protection service. No one informed us the protection had not been applied to our car when we signed the contract and made the payment. They did not make sure that the car was in a 'ready to go' condition and let us drove the car right after settling all the paper work and payment. Besides, we live in Seattle which took us a long time to get to Edmonds to drop off and pick up our car in separate days. We received another call again two weeks after our purchase saying that they missed a signature from us for car registration purpose. My husband had to travel a long way again from downtown Seattle to the dealer only for a signature. They kept on wasting our time with their poor service. I did not understand why it took them more than 2 weeks to realize that. I am not sure if we are able take the license on time as the temporary one will expire in early Nov. Bought a beautiful new Toyota Tacoma from MARK HENDERSON - what a great guy to work with! He made me feel comfortable without hard selling me. He showed me all the features of the car and really spent time with me to make sure I understood everything. He even set up my phone to pair with the car. I said, it's okay I could go for a walk and still have enough time to pick up my kids by 3:30pm. Unfortunately, I was there until 3pm! I politely asked a couple times about the status of my car, I was told it should be done in half an hour, finally I gave up and it was getting close to the time for me to pick up my kids anyway so I said just give me the car back I will take it to Les Schwab (I am not sure why I did not take it there in the first place). They said, just give us a few minutes it's being worked on it will be done soon. Anyway, the other thing that happened that nagged on my soul was that While I was sitting in the waiting area, one of the workers there made coffee (they have coffee bar by the waiting area) and even though I was sitting near to where he was at, he passed me completely oblivious to me (the invisible woman) and went to the lady sitting to the right side of me asked her how she was doing and if she was waiting too long and if she would like a cup of coffee. The lady looked puzzled and looked at me as if to say, why did he not start from you. He went around the whole waiting area to ask everyone there if they would like coffee. I am not one who cares about what other people think of me or seek other people's attention or approval. I don't know why he choose to do that but when I looked up, I noticed it did make some of the people in the waiting area with good conscious uncomfortable including the lady sitting next to me. I truly did not mind being unnoticed by this worker because his action told me his knowledge and awareness, which is obviously poor. I was thought to be good and kind to all people no matter their look and how they move, obviously he did not get a similar lesson, so I let it go. read more

I was very reluctant to turn to social media for many reasons. Firstly, I wanted to give @magic_toyota and @toyotausa @toyota a chance to remedy the multiple issues having to do with my brand new, 2018 #toyotasienna Here is a list: 5/12/19 moonroof is stuck open 5/14/19 sienna taken to @magic_toyota 6/14/19 @magic_toyota calls to say car is fixed. During the FULL MONTH that my car was at @magic_toyota I had to call multiple times to get updates, I was very rarely called until I contacted @toyotausa @toyota and began a case file. When my car was finally returned there were multiple more issues which have yet to be fixed; the photos tell the story. The only flaw on with my car up 5/14/19 was the minuscule scuff referenced in the last photo. Here is a list of problems created by Magic Toyota: there were grease marks on the driver seat, moonroof cover, and media casing, deep scratches/cuts to the rear paneling, white scuff marks on the roof of the car, and the inside automatic door buttons no longer work. The worst issue, however is the large dent and paint damage to the passenger side door! @magic_toyota DENTED my car and gave it back to me like nothing was wrong. My brand new car that I was *thrilled with no longer brings me joy, but intense anger. I have been making payments and believe that @toyotausa @toyota should complete AT LEAST one upcoming payment. I didn't have my car from 5/14/19-6/14/19 and my car will need to go back to @magic_toyota to repair the damages internally and to an auto body repair shop to fix the large dent in the passenger-side door. My husband has been a loyal #toyota customer for years now and I decided to try one out myself. I am deeply regretting that decision. Thank you for reading. read more

I was so irritated when I got to my oil change appt yesterday. I arrived 30 minutes early, checked in and went into the waiting room. After an hour had passed, I went to ask about my car, it hadn't even been started! This is so frustrating. When I asked the clerk who checked me in why he didn't tell me that they were running behind, he told me that it didn't matter that I arrived early, the clock started from my appt time. So I asked for my keys and left. I'll never return again. They have horrid customer service. read more

Sad to write this, but the service department is no longer reliable, capable nor are they responsive. Had a problem with a repair they performed. After not hearing back for four weeks (left multiple messages and emails, enough that the very nice woman answering phone would say "he STILL hasn't called you back? I'm so sorry. I'll leave him another message). Finally just took the car to a different Toyota dealership. Their techs found that Magic Toyota had INSTALLED incorrect parts. "These aren't even the Prius parts." They gave me the incorrect parts and encouraged me to try contacting Magic again to get a refund, but after trying two more times, I decided to write off the $280 as "experience." Expensive lesson, but I learned it. They'd already started going downhill when they constructed the new fancy service station a few years ago. Maybe they just got too big to be able to maintain well trained employees and provide supervision. Repair estimate times were always off, significantly. (1-2 hr service would take over 4 hours). And I'd overhear other customers getting upset that it'd been 3 hours for their "one hour" service and according to the fancy video screen, they hadn't even started that car yet. When trying to book one service (before my final time/messed up repair with wrong parts), I'd asked for a true estimate, explaining I'm primary care giver for terminal family member and needed to hire someone to replace me while I'm gone so needed true time. "Even if you need to tell me 4 hours for something that should be 1 hour, I just need you to state a time that you can GUARANTEE." The woman on the phone was super empathetic but explained that they couldn't do that, and she'd been seeing things go hours later than promised. I'm sad that this place became unreliable, because I'd been coming here for so many years, since buying my first Toyota in 2005. Some of these guys really felt like family (And Al their shuttle driver is a true GEM! So friendly and genuine and I'll really miss our conversations 3 times a year. I looked forward to getting to learn about his kids' accomplishments over the years). So it is extra sad that they are now too understaffed and/or under-trained and/or too busy. Before this final "wrong parts" repair, I'd had to return two times to get a previous "repaired" issue corrected. Just too ridiculous. read more

Took our 2018 Highlander for service and had a disappointing experience. I asked the service writer I made an appointment with to include adding door guards to my service and it never happened, requiring me to add it to my appointment and i was told it would take an extra hour to complete. Then their guest wifi didn't work and no one was willing to help or call their IT desk. Then I was told to just go to starbucks instead. Which is where I am writing this review from. So...yea. pretty disappointing experience read more
