I visited Magic Toyota on 3/8 for a standard vehicle service on my 2017 Corolla. Upon my service my husband asked me to take a look at some crossovers as we were thinking to upgrade in the future but did not have any intention with purchasing a car. (Associate I won't be naming) had came up to me when I was in the parking lot looking at the 2021 Rav4 Hybrid and offered to test drive with me so we did. After the test drive I was willing to go over numbers with him but made it very very clear that unless it was a straight across trade and keeping my payments under $500 I wouldn't be interested in trading. He then sent me with money to get starbucks for him ... which was a bit weird but also an excuse to drive the car again so that was fine. While I was out he had an appraiser (not sure who) look at my Corolla to get the value. This was my first time trading in a car so I guess I wasn't really prepared to come in with the knowledge I should had, but as an associate I believe the process was not done correctly and in my favor as a customer. Before even letting me know what the value they were offering me on my car The associate had drafted the paperwork to run my credit, obviously I knew what I was authorizing there which was just for my credit to be pulled for the car approval itself. After my credit was ran and I was approved he then started showing my numbers and paperwork which included the value of my car which was priced at $8,000. I then looked up my car on Kelly blue book because I already knew that was well well under the value, coming to find even if my car was in poor condition (it was not, there was no damage besides the rims) it would be valued at the lowest $10,000 so at this point I was definitely not interested but for some reason The associate had it in his head I needed this car, remember me saying I made it very clear? I guess not to him.. He then proceeded to go back and forth trying and trying to change numbers but of course unless my car value was raised I was never going to do it and I told him that. I ended up leaving the dealership and told him I would sleep on it to be nice but I already knew it was not going to happen. Our communication at this point was over the phone or text and I did not visit the dealership again. I told him I was not interested in trading, a credit card, putting down any money, or any of that sort via text on 3/9 twice, and on 3/10 three times and each time it was an overwhelming push back from him that he had some "magical" deal as well as a phone call on 3/9 from his coworker also trying to make it happen. At the end of the day I just told him for a final time I was not interested. Fast forward to 3/18, I open my mailbox to a Toyota credit card I did not authorize or sign for. This is illegal and fraud. I spoke with Toyota credit to report it to the fraud department and they said they would close it but my credit will now be affected from the inquiry. I then spoke with the Director and she basically said its my word against his and hes a trustworthy guy so all she can say was that shes sorry for the miscommunication. There was no miscommunication, The associate knew I did not want a line of credit and specifically said my credit did not need to be ran again. Regardless verbal authorization is not a legal form to apply for a credit card so basically they stole my social security number, and information, and applied for a credit card on my behalf. I told The director I will give her the weekend to come up with accommodations besides "I'm sorry" because that is not going to cut it what so ever. read more

I drove 30 minutes for an appointment to see a truck they had listed on the website. When I get there, no truck - that one was supposedly sold. I had communicated with the sales person this morning and she never said anything. This place totally uses bait and switch tactics. I wouldn't take a car from Magic Toyota for free! I requested a pre-purchase car inspection. They lied to me that the car had 70% threads left. The car owner regularly got his car serviced at Magic Toyota. I was told that the tires are bald and need replacement at two other Auto service center, a month after purchasing the car. I doubt that they did any inspection at all. read more

What a terrible place to buy a vehicle if you are a consumer and like to save money. I bought a 4 runner there years ago when they were smaller and it was a great experience. Since the remodel and who knows how many millions of dollars they spent its a different place. They need to pay for that fancy large building and the staff so they pass on that overhead. I went in there a few months ago with a friend and they have that sales style where the sales person helps you then the manager comes out and tries to "help" you get the best price. With my friend, who did the research they wouldnt even sell the leftover model from the last year for anything under msrp. We are talking a leftover Prius C, not a high demand 4Runner. I went in there again as I was in the neighbor hood and they take your keys and play the game. I think there are two types of dealers, one that wants to make a killing and doesnt care if you come back. The other is the dealers that was a fair deal for both sides and want you to come back. This dealer just wants to screw you. The sales person basically insulted me with the vehicle I was driving by telling me that it wasnt a Toyota and my car had terrible resale and they need to buy if for $xxxxx. Many of these new car dealers make very little with new car sales compared to what they make when you trade in a later model vehicle that still had factory warranty left. They also make a good profit with the service department. Good luck with this place!! Last I knew it was owned by the same family that owns the Micheal's dealers in Bellevue. My experiences with Magic Toyota's parts department have all been good ones. They know their stuff and are Toyota enthusiasts. Can't say the same about the sales department. We went to look at a used SUV on their lot and unlike other dealers in the area (Acura of Lynnwood) they took us on an extremely short test drive (maybe 1.5 miles) where we got up to maybe 35 mph. And the sales person said no when we asked that the truck be taken to a nearby independent shop for a pre purchase inspection. Yeah - you just lost a sale there. So let me start by saying that Magic is still the cheapest dealership around for oil changes. Maybe not for long. When I first started servicing my vehicles there the cost was $49.95. Today the current coupon states $68.95. Perhaps the sky is the limit? The dealership is not close to me so the potential savings is canceled out by travel so I have just started doing the oil changes myself. I suppose they need to pay for that fancy new dealership somehow. I imagine many retired folks, on fixed incomes, who cannot afford a new vehicle could now be struggling to maintain it. This place has no SENSE of time!!!! Meaning a simple car oil change takes 3hrs for them. They don't care to come update their customers if they are falling behind or backed up due to high volume of customers. I went to Magic Toyota to get my vehicle serviced per the warranty, the person I spoke with said " our service wait is taking longer than normal, possibly up to 1 hour and 45 minute wait". I said no problem. However, after waiting and getting my vehicle back from the service department it wasn't the same. 1) the hatchback/electronic lift to my Highlander doesn't work. It is very heavy to attempt to lift manually. 2) the maintenance service light doesn't go off, it wasn't reset. This should be an obvious and basic task from a dealer. Not at Magic where clearly there is a certain dysfunction junction happening. 3) the glove compartment door is not attached correctly, it appears a technician accessed it during service and did not reattach it correctly. When you bring a fully functioning vehicle to a dealer you are anticipating a high level of competence, especially when they sell you dated technology such as a 2019 Highlander. I went for my appointment waited and when they finished they said my water pump was leaking. Surprise surprise this is an obvious scam and they usually do it to new customers. In a few days I called Brandon and asked about mats and he told me to come over. But when I came there no mats to pick up Brandon promised to call me back next morning but never did. Just had my SERVICE done today and let me say the Technician who worked on my car takes no pride in his work. 1. He didn't clean the oil drain area left so much residue. 2. He also didn't even clean the oil filter housing. 3. Didn't top off my coolant level it was below the min line or even let the service advisor know that my coolant was tank was practically empty and should have it checked for leaks. 4. Didnt like the deal they offered the one day so went looking at other places. We decided to call them back and take them up on the offer. I was told no the car is back to full price. I went in to talk with them in person to smooth things out. Sales manager was just arrogant and rude. Would not talk about it at all. On my way home I got 3! 3 phone calls! Avoid the used car sales at Magic of Toyota at all costs! I had a terrible experience at this dealership with multiple sales reps. I scheduled a test drive for the Lexus IS300 that they had in their inventory and was guided to their used car sales lot that just gave off the sketchy used car vibes. It started slightly odd by Ali (my assigned sales rep) saying be back in less than 15 minutes for my test drive. This wasn't a big deal but then on top of that, getting into the car it was very dirty and had practically an empty tank of gas. Once again, not mandatory but didn't give me a great first impression. When I got back I asked to see the numbers but that's when Ali went into pushy sales mode and was blatantly rude. Made no real negotiation tactics just attempted to push the car on me. I decided to sleep on it and came back a few days later intent on buying the car but I did not want to work with Ali. Proceed to round two... Now I was working with Taieb and was willing to negotiate a price and planned on purchasing the car that day. I noticed on one of the tires that there was a significant chunk missing and everyone I showed this image to (see below for the image of the tire) told me that the tire would need to be replaced. I told Taieb this and asked him if they could reduce the sales price or give me a new set of tires. Taieb laughed and the sales manager told me that used cars come with defects and aren't guaranteed to be perfect. I understood this but wasn't interested in buying a car that would require an additional $800 cost to replace the tires on the AWD Lexus IS 300. What also concerned me was the fact that supposedly this had passed inspection so if this had gone through, what else had? I walked away from this deal and purchased my vehicle from Lexus of Bellevue where I received far better customer service! I went in to get an alignment done on my 2015 Tacoma. All that was out was my front TOE all I needed was a simple TOE adjustment. When I went in to pick up my truck of them having it for most of the day I came in to read the specs of the alignment and somehow they messed up my camber on front really bad. ALSO IF I HAVE A STRAIGHT AXLE ON MY TRUCK IT SHOULDN'T CHANGE ANY REAR CAMBER!!!! I will never buy a car from this dealership, even if they had the perfect car at the perfect price. As many reviews stated, they lowball the heck out of you on your trade in and then make excuses for it that insult your intelligence. First, the salesman offered us $100, claiming it was because our airbag light was on. Trade in value on the car is $1000-$1500 minimum. I told the guy, the fact that you just offered me $100 on my trade in and tried to convince me it's because of the air bag light, shows me you're trying to jerk me around. Here's my offer. Yes or no. Period. All he had to do was say no. I was very clear. But he pretended he didn't understand my offer and came back with numbers well over $2000 above my offer. I made it very clear he only needed to give a "yes or no" answer and he couldn't even manage that. Continued on to try to play me for a fool. But somehow, he managed to pull a $1000 offer on our trade. Too little. Too late. He even tried to sell us a protection plan against theft "because covid 19". What a shady tactic. I carry full coverage. He knew that. And he kept bringing up Covid like it somehow justified his BS. It was rough. Worst experience I've ever had with a dealership. This review is for the service department management only. I made an appointment for oil change, tire rotation & inspection for 8am. 75 minutes later they still hadn't even looked at the car. Once they started, it took another hour. They have a large monitor screen where you can follow the status of your car and others. There were almost 100 cars listed. Most were listed as "arrived". It's one thing to go to an independent tire shop in a snow storm without an appointment to change over to snow tires and have to wait over two hours. It's unacceptable to have to wait two hours on a regular day for an oil change when you have an appointment with the Toyota dealer's service department. It is not the fault of the workers. It is a management policy that sets up this work plan for their shop. Toyota paid them over $80 for this "service". I will NOT be taking my care back to Magic Toyota for service. I'd rather drive to a dealer 45 minutes away, than to give any service business to Magic Toyota. read more

He stuck with us but gave us some breathing room. We weren't sure if we were able to buy new or not and he educated us on our options. We bought a 2019 highlander that day! Customer service is very friendly and they are knowledgeable about the vehicles on their lot. That gets you two stars. We were interested in a 2015 Lexus IS250 and we got to test drive it immediately with no pressure. After the drive, we were about to head in before noticing ALL the exterior damages to the car. The bumper was misaligned (low-collision accident?), the wheels were all scratched with curb rashes and one of the wheels having a DEEP gash, the panels across the whole car had small to medium scratches, and there was bad touch up paint done to the car. Either the previous owner had a rough time with a curb and ended up bouncing around, or it was in a low-collision accident. The carfax showed that Magic has been trying to sell this car since January. It's currently May! Their original asking price? $34,000 for a RWD! A quick Craigslist search will show other dealerships selling a vehicle WITH AWD and a F Sport or Premium package for a 2015 around $26,000. No wonder it hasn't been sold. If you compare the carfax and the miles, it also hasn't been driven a lot. Factoring a sitting car, with an unbelievably pricey price tag and all the exterior damages... it's definitely a car you should stay away. You'd also think if the car has been sitting there, you'd think there would be repairs done to the car. Are they hoping for a sucker to miss all the exterior scratches and damage? I mean don't even pretend you just noticed the compressed bumper when we called out on it. Happy to say we ended up with another car and haven't looked back. FYI - We live 5 minutes away from Magic but we were willing to travel for customer service and honesty. read more

Our experience here was actually so bad, my wife and I decided we would hold off on getting a new car for a bit longer because we hate dealing with dealerships like this so much. Our sales person clearly knew NOTHING about the car we were looking at. He just kept saying it was "a powerful machine" and "real good quality." He failed to mention any of the features of the car, which my wife looked up and read to me as I did the test drive. He seemed genuinely surprised at most of them. Then, we told him we had to go soon, as we were meeting friends downtown. He told us he could get us a quote on our trade-in "very very quickly, only takes a couple of minutes." Yea, 45 minutes later of him sitting in the back office talking to the manager, we just went up there and told him we were leaving. The back-office manager scolded us for walking out and at that point I had it and just got in my old car and left. After my experience here, I would not recommend Magic to my family and friends. they sold us a 2016 Prius with the expensive warranty that was supposed to include extended bumper to bumper. Two months later our car starts having trouble starting. After bringing it into Magic, they told us oh no there's no problem! nothing seems to be wrong. whelp a week later the car wont start again and when we take it into Roland Toyota in Everett they tell us the extended warranty we bought doesnt cover bumper to bumper in the first place. So here I am, replacing my own battery, paying a monthly fee to cover a warranty that's so far proved worthless, from a dealer who cant figure out how to test a 12v battery. read more

Shoddy work done by the mechanics. Bought a used 4runner from them after they boasted about how every service was done by them. Car fax say that vehicle was checked for a check engine light that came on 5/11/19 with the previous owner. That owner then traded it in for something newer, and we bought the car... 30 days in, and the head gaskets blew, and they're telling me that there's nothing they can do. Maybe stand by your guaranteed services, like you said you did, when you sold us the vehicle Dont buy your car from this place, or Taieb Azzam. He claims to have have done the full point inspection on a vehicle he sold us. We bought it 1/5/2020, and noticed on 1/15/2020 that the heater went out. After calling magic toyota three times with no return call back, we took it to get looked at today, turns out it's a blown head gasket. And they refuse to help us. Magic Toyota, you suck. We went in just to look, and they did their normal dealer persuading, and wouldn't take no for an answer. We originally started a deal with a David, but when they noticed we weren't being persuaded, they sent Taieb over, who was kind of condescending to us about our credit. Which is when We realized we should probably walk away. But the vehicle we were looking at was exactly what we were looking for, and just a little above our original asking price. The mechanic that inspected it says that it looks like everything was replaced to make it look nice, and an additive was probably put in to seal the leak. My only presumption I get from this is that magic toyota and Taieb Azzam knew about the problem while selling us this vehicle. And exactly one month later, my vehicle is no longer safe to drive and Taiebs only defense was that the vehicle is sold "as is". He even hung up on me before I could ask him his last name. Thankfully there's a ton of bad reviews about Taieb Azzam. So it wasn't hard to find. I've contacted the BBB, and WA state attorney generals office , in regards to an "implied warranty" that dealers are obligated to abide by, unless you specifically agreed that it wasn't needed. I bought my Certified 4 year old Toyota Matrix here. (this is supposed to mean it has been gone over and completely fixed up). The nicest and most expensive car I've ever owned. I didn't try to negotiate, and thus the problems that have been unresolved really peeve me. It's a hassle to drive 30 minutes each way, repeatedly, and have to leave my car while I'm given a loaner which smells strongly like cigarrettes and cloyingly heavy air freshener. My initial interactions with the shop were good, and Scott provided nice service, but my continued difficulties add up to a dissatisfied customer. 1) The tire light came on second day of owning the car. I have been told several times to reset the button, that nothing is wrong. Finally a Chevron guy told me that the tires aren't seated correctly on the rims. (still haven't had time to fix them all). 2) Was told that my brakes needed replaced a couple months into owning the car. Magic said, "oh, let's just check it out." It turns out they were given to me worn down. 3) The serpentine belt started sqeaking soon after I bought the car, and Magic replaced it. 4) I noticed that there were bolts missing under my wheel well. I parked in a normal, slow and controlled manner at the mall, and when I pulled away there was a terrible sound and the front end of the car was loose and hanging down. Magic Toyota said it must be something I did, and to see a body shop. The body shop told me that someone had done work on the car, and not rebolted the front end to the frame, thus leaving it loose. 5) As a result of the moving front end, the paint job is now peeling away around the headlight. So now, I have to go and have all of my tires removed and remounted, and have my front end repainted. I haven't had peace of mind since I bought the car, as I never know if a tire is going flat. I wish at this point that Magic would pay to have my local shop reseat all of the tires, that were never on correctly. An offer to fix the paint around the headlight due to the poor paint job, and moving front end would be nice too. Wishful thinking. read more

Not really sure what happened but Magic has lost our business. We've purchased from them in the past and two (and what we thought was going to be a third!) vehicles for service. Maybe it was because we were a cash buy this time, but we can't make sense out of that argument. Only thing we could think of was our salespeople had made their sales goals for November and truly didn't need this to happen. This is not our first car-buying rodeo and really sick of all the BS that goes along with it. Got a fair quote which made us book an appointment to come in. Came in two vehicles knowing it was likely one of us would be staying while the other had a hard appointment that couldn't be missed. Completely sold on the test drive but did want to see the next model up just to see if the extra options was worth it. This is where things got a little weird in that we had TWO salespeople (one was training it sounded like) and it was taking a significant amount of time to locate a vehicle to show us. In the end they did find one and while not the same color they were looking to show us, it was a no-go. Underwhelming vs what we test drove and neither salesperson seemed to understand what the cost was. Ok no big deal! But then the trainee came back with a price that was $500 higher than what we were quoted...in writing not once but twice. I was pretty sure the deal was lost here but then realized no....for $500 and INTEGRITY they will make this work. They did but made it out like it was this huge favor they were doing us....um no. You gave a price, you have to honor it. End of story. Don't be pretending we got some special treatment. Where they really lost was the trade-in. I've been personally screwed once and never forgot it. They were using Kelly Blue Book as were we and were shocked....couldn't hide it or even dramatize it....seriously shocked how low they came in. Realized they were calling it "fair" when we've never had even our dirtiest and most scratched up trade-ins valued as the lowest of the low. Not only was it insulting it was lying and even pulling the site up in front of them showing them how off their numbers are they just wouldn't come up. It made zero sense. I was ready to walk and packed up when I saw the initial number knowing there was no way we'd close a $1500 gap ...and that gap would have been me settling when I know it was worth 1-2K more than that ACCORDING TO THE SAME SYSTEM THEY USE. The best they did was came up 500...they were really hung up on the $500 they feel they "lost" and the trainee tried to "show us the math"....please my husband is an Engineer and we were cash buyers....we know how math works! Couldn't get out of there fast enough. It felt SO good to walk away as I didn't need that car by any means. Their loss. I did go back on Kelly Blue Book when I got home and punched in all the data and selected "fair" as the condition and the number still differed so I really think whoever valued the trade input our mileage wrong or some other human error. They couldn't really re-run it as it would somehow diminish their credibility though I wish they had honestly to have fixed the error and just sealed the deal. Pretty sure our main salesperson had no idea what happened as he was too busy texting with another customer. When he did surface enough to tell me about THAT deal I can safely say it was not going to happen :P He had the easiest sale sitting right in front of his face and it blew up. Felt like a total waste of time...time we really didn't have to be wasting but there was no reason to think it would end so negatively. Do your homework and don't settle for less. I guarantee you neither of those guys gave us another thought the second we walked away from the desk. At least our potty training kiddo in tow had a huge potty training success so the whole morning wasn't a COMPLETE waste...and he really handled walking away from the vehicle well considering he thought we were bringing home a new one that he really liked ;) read more

My folks have owned pretty much every Toyota model under the sun. For whatever reason, my father is convinced they are the greatest cars ever made, LOL. Sarcasm aside, we have never had a "bad" Toyota. It was time to upgrade my little road ninja to something bigger and newer. Our buying experience was great from start to finish. And purchasing a brand new vehicle through the Costco auto program makes negotiations smooth and painless. We also received a very fair offer on my trade-in right off the bat. Through in some 0% APR, and viola! I have an awesome, brand new car, with every trinket I ever wanted, no interest loan and a great working relationship with the dealership (this is a 3rd car purchased from Magic). Along with my car, I purchased the NW protection package (paint sealer, under carriage sealer and leather sealer), and the following week took my wheels back to Magic Toyota service department. Now, my father insisted on being there during the process of application of all these sealers, so he was hanging out and watching while the guys were working. Talk about someone looking over your shoulder. However weired that was, the service guys at Magic handled it in the best possible way, my dad was as happy as a clam. Knowing that my folks will be buying another new car soon, it is safe to say we will be back at Magic Toyota. read more

AAAAAND it gets better. I came into this lot and told them I would be paying cash. This was so that I would avoid a hard credit pull for any reason. I have good credit, but I'm trying to get my inquiries down and I was assured *multiple* times that I would not have a hard pull. I was told it would be a soft pull only, much like when you apply for an apartment. Turns out they did a hard pull. Great. I could've financed this whole thing and avoided this whole BS, had a low interest rate, etc for a hard pull. I called and they said "never in my 16 years have I had this complaint." Great, maybe in your 16 years you've never had someone screw up and tell someone the wrong thing *multiple times*. I don't even know if there's anything they can do now. They are going to contact the credit bureaus and find out tomorrow, but the fact this even happened is enough to update my review. Great. read more

I wish there were an option to review a particular salesman, not the whole business, because I just had a bad experience with once salesman - can't speak to the entire establishment. However. I test drove a Prius C earlier today and the salesman (unfortunately don't know his name) was exactly the type that makes you want to give up on car shopping. Any question I asked was met with a response in a tone that suggested it was a stupid question. One word answers and really just rude. (Perhaps it's a classic case of a salesman not taking a single woman seriously.) I'm still interested in the Prius C but will shop anywhere else but here. read more

Had a good experience with them. Ended up working with Peter Chong and Mike Schalcter (SP) to close up the sales. Forgot the name of the finance person but she was easy to deal with too. Just wish I could charge more to my credit card for the down payment, gotta get those points. My first toyota was from Lake City Way and there were upcharges for door gaurds and nitrogen in the tires. Magic said the Camry came that way from factory. They just sold it to me at an agreed cost plus tax, licenseing like I wanted. No added surcharges at the end like my previous Toyota experience at Lake City. I even got a lower estimate by about 150-200 a few other places but this place was honest with me about no extra charges so I decided to stick with Magic for the purchase of our new Camry. I just feel bad they had to put up with so many of my emails and text messages. Thanks for tolerating me as a buyer. read more

We were introduced to Magic Toyota while my husband was out of town, and I wanted to get new tires for his car. These were certified Toyota Mechanics, so I bought 4 tires, asked for alignment work, and let them do everything. These were not cheap tires either, (about $300 a piece!) I wanted these to be high quality and long-lasting work. At first, it seemed there weren't any problems. But, fast forward a few months later, and we realized that the car began to have issues. It got to where we decided to take it into a local mechanic by our apartment who we've trusted in the past. We wondered if this was a wear and tear issue, or just standard maintenance. Instead we found out through our mechanic that the wheels had been over-torqued so that it was not only impossible to take off if we had a flat tire, but they were so bad to where the rotors themselves became increasing warped and needed to be worked on. I was so upset about this! I paid for tires and piece of mind by going to Magic Toyota! Instead, it was their work that caused these issues over time. If they had just installed the tires as normal and just placed the wheels back on normally then there never would have been a problem. What if we had a flat tire? Then there would be no way to take them off without other fees. And we still had to pay for getting the rotors worked on due to the pace they were being worn down by the wheels. We paid over $300 to fix these problems that were cause by Magic Toyota. I trusted Magic Toyota since they sold us the Rav4. They are supposed to be "certified" to work on Toyotas. But I thought in general they should give piece of mind, but they failed to do so. read more

We recently bought a 2021 4runner from Magic Toyota. Due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions issued by WA state, we were keen to reduce our interaction time, wanted a fair deal for both sides and prompt no-pressure service. We had researched the vehicle / trim, available discounts. Four dealerships reached out. We selected Magic Toyota due to perseverance of Efron, Internet sales specialist. He not only provided us one of the better deals, was prompt in his responses, reasonable in negotiating the price and pushy only to help us make a good decision. The only inconvenient part was long wait overall and a repeat visit to complete the transaction. When we arrived we had to wait until Efron had finished with the other customer. The staff and manager were patiently waiting until we finished on the first day The second day was relatively quicker in finishing the paper work an picking up the vehicle. Efron not only gave us a detailed walk through of the car but also sent additional information about the vehicle full of tips. Magic Toyota sales was low pressure experience, a fair deal and professional service. Given the spread of the pandemic, I would recommend them to keep the time required to complete the purchase minimal and maintaining all the recommended clean practices. While the place is kept clean I noticed keyboards, pens exchanged without disinfecting. read more

I originally dropped my older car off at Magic Toyota on Friday to take advantage of a fuel-saver service special. Somehow, with a little luck, a lot of finagling, and a dash of abracadabra, I drove home today in an entirely different car. A new one, in fact. How does something like that happen? Sleight of hand? Oh my god, I'm still kind of reeling from the whole experience. Shockingly, the dealership experience was good. My mom taught me well to uphold an icy exterior when perusing a car lot. It was ingrained in me to never make eye contact, and never, ever talk to the shifty salespeople. Or else, they'll get you right where they want you! But we ended up with perhaps the nicest car salesman ever, which allowed me to relax a bit and actually enjoy the prospect of taking home a new car. Honestly, my husband and I didn't intend to buy a new car until next year, but after getting a negative diagnosis on my older car, the shiny-shiny new cars suddenly looked very appealing. My car was 10 years old, and it was just about to click over to 100K miles. If we waited longer, the trade-in value would continue to plummet, making it even harder to swing a new car. Adam, the nicest car salesman ever, showed us lots of cars, giving us the lowdown on the 2006 models versus the 2007 models. He let me test drive both versions out on Highway 99 and I-5, so I could get a feel for highway and regular driving. He answered all of our questions and listened to all of our stories. He even laughed at all my nervous jokes. Because we just couldn't make a decision an hour before a Halloween party wherein my husband had to dress up in tights and a cape, the dealership let us take one of the cars home for an extended test drive. A ploy to get us to come back, yes. But we felt it was a good tactic, as we were able to drive it under more relaxed and realistic conditions to really get a feel for it. We left my car there over night and raced home to crunch the numbers. Could we do it? Would we have to eat Top Ramen for the next five years? How much do we value peace of mind, knowing I probably won't break down on the 520 with a new car versus my old car? Gah. We went back today, with ideal numbers in hand. In the end, after watching Adam go back and forth between us and the sales manager several times over, the answer to the all-important question, "Can we put you two in this car for this kind of deal?" was a reluctant yes. And so an hour later, after signing some papers and writing a check for a hefty amount that kinda made my hand hurt (there goes that fence for the backyard), they handed us the keys to our new 2006 Toyota RAV4. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed by Magic Toyota, but more so by our salesman, who was an absolute pleasure to work with. He got me to defrost a little, a feat that's definitely a magic trick in itself. EDITED TO ADD: Adam, the nicest car salesman ever, recently called to thank me for this review. Apparently, one of his clients made him aware of it, and so he showed it to his boss and the whole dealership read it. Which I think is totally awesome. It verifies the fact that regular people are indeed checking out Yelp and passing on the reviews. Additionally, this place just continues to amaze me. Months after buying our new car, I received in the mail an extra key for the car. Not just a regular 'ol key, but the kind that opens the keyless entry. It came in a plain envelope, wrapped in bubble, with no explanation. I hadn't made a stink about getting only one key for the car, so I suppose they found it lying around in a pile of unmarked keys, or something. But we were seriously steps away from ordering an additional key so that my husband can open the door for me without having to open his first. Score! Also, I got an invite for an upcoming customer appreciation dinner. Not that I want to have dinner at a dealership, but still. Nice gesture. read more

I didn't have any issues purchasing my truck here and overall was satisfied with the sale. This review is specifically for the service department. Oil change - they didn't put some of the bolts in the skid plate under the truck, so after I got it home, I noticed that the skid plate was missing two bolts and just hanging by the other two, with one plate laying on top of the other. Making funky noise - Still under warranty so took it in, got loaner while they worked on it. At first they weren't able to diagnose the issue and once they did, it took them a couple of days to get the part and fix. Not a problem since I had a loaner at no charge, except for the fact that the car was a Matrix... scary little ride. Recall item - had to take it in for a recall and when I called to do so they were out of loaner cars. Once I got there, and they talked me into having a paid service done (60,000 mile check), suddenly they have loaner cars when I'm paying them. Prices - Can get better service at local auto shops for less money. read more
