The soft serve was average at best, and I was really disappointed to find that the center of my cup was empty, since the ice cream was just swirled along the inner edges of the cup. Contrary to what another reviewer wrote, I found that the taiyaki did have an interesting mochi-like chew. However, I've traveled internationally, and I'm more familiar with taiyaki being a fluffy, pancake-line consistency with a light crunch on the outside (similar to waffles). So... take that as you will. The bingsu was below-average. I just think there's a lot of room for improvement with regards to taste and visuals for the price. The portion of bingsu was small for the price and seemed a bit slushy. The taiyaki had the texture of stale, chewy bread. Exactly what I was looking for when I wanted Korean shaved ice dessert. Reminds me of other Korean dessert places I've been to in my life, and I'd say leafy Korean is well on par. We got the strawberry mango bingsu, but they also had taiyaki, along with a full coffee drink menu. We ordered and were given a buzzer while we waited. I got the injulumi red bean bingsu which i loved as there was a variety of flavors and textures. overall The bingsu also comes with condensed milk on the side to add as you please. The milk ice that they used was very fine and so flavorful! I would say one bingsu is the perfect size for 2-3 people so it is definitely one to share! We've also had the strawberry mango bingsu which I would highly recommend. The strawberry mango is more of a sweeter bingsu whereas the red bean is more of a savory bingsu. The bingsu bowls are MASSIVE yet refreshing and not too filling because of how icy they are. I've been hoping and praying for a proper Korean dessert cafe to make it to the KC area, and it's here! Leafy has croffles (croissant waffles), a variety of drinks, and bingsoo (Korean shaved ice). Good bingsoo should be a mound of fluffy shredded milk layered with toppings and condensed milk drizzled over the top, and that's exactly what this bingsoo is. At Leafy, there's additional condensed milk provided on the side to drizzle across as you eat. Lots of places around OP (including I Am Frozen) advertise "snow cream", but none of them are as well-executed and authentic as Leafy. My friend and I ordered an injeolmi (Korean bean powder) red bean bingsoo as well as a strawberry and mango bingsoo. I was so excited to see injeolmi on the menu and it came out perfect! Was especially glad that they included rice cakes, which were the right combination of chewy and pillowy. The strawberry and mango bingsoo was also great, but once I saw the mango bingsoo at another table, I did wish I'd ordered that. The strawberry is a little on the deflated/artificial side, and the mango bingsoo comes with whipped cream. Next time! Would highly recommend a fruit or candy flavor to start if you're trying bingsoo for the first time, and injeolmi for more traditionally Korean flavors (iykyk). read more

I've tried every Bingsu/ shaved ice shop in the area and this place definitely is my favorite. It's the most authentic Korean bingsu place and has a bunch of flavors! They also have the sweet waffles and an assortment of drinks that I will need to try next. It's on the more expensive side, averaging $12 a bingsu but it's a good size to share with 2 people. The ice is super soft and slightly sweet. Nothing was overly sweet and they gave us the condensed milk on the side so you can add as much as you want. The injeolmi was all of our favorite since it was full of red bean and soft rice cake. We ended up purchasing extra rice cake for about $2.50 since it was too good. There's a good amount of seating but tables seat 4 at most. Ordering was super easy and the cashier was super sweet and helpful. If you're debating on trying this place out...just do it. It's mixed with some kind of light milky sauce. The bowls are frozen so it doesn't melt early. Portions are huge. Two people easily for everything here. We also tried the croffle. Also stellar. I am glad that there is another Korean dessert location and this is right by the Costco I always shop at. We came in and I instantly enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful when we asked for recommendations. I would say the wait time was a little higher but there were about 3 staff members that we were aware of. After we got our bingsoo, we scarfed it down. It was loaded to the brim and very tasty. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the flavors!
