I was so excited to finally visit Swig! Being from out of state, I've heard so many great things and it was at the top of my must-visit list. I have to give a massive shoutout to Shelby. She was an absolute 11/10! We accidentally had our Uber drop us off thinking it was a walk-in location, but Shelby was beyond helpful. She actually let us walk through the drive-thru since we didn't have a car, which was so kind of her. She took the time to explain the whole menu to us with such a positive attitude. She recommended some incredible drinks that we enjoyed very much--she truly made our first Swig experience special. However, I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 due to a disappointing interaction with another staff member (a male with short blonde hair). While we were waiting outside for our Uber, we tried to hand him an empty cup from the Swig pretzels we had just finished. He refused to take it, saying, "We aren't allowed to take things from outside into the store." We were pretty surprised that they wouldn't take back their own packaging to dispose of it. It's hot as Hades on the 1st of July, so we decided to cool off with some chilled treats from Swig. We opted for the Waikiki beverage , and a sugar-free version of Daisy Duke (w/ their signature energy drink, Reviver), and a few pink-frosted sugar cookies. Our treats were refreshing and delicious -- everyone enjoyed what they chose. I noticed that they've really sped up the drive-through time, which is impressive. As a native to San Diego, we don't have Swig's near us. So when we came to Utah we HAD to stop by and try it. To me, I understood the hype! The hula girl tasted super tropical, like a mocktail you'd order to sip on the beach. The berry boujee was super fizzy and delicious! The cherry bomb was just a classic drink. Ordered simple drinks that shouldn't be hard to understand. A Texas tab and a raspberry dr pepper. At the checkout they didn't ask what our drinks were, just handed them to us in a rush. So when we drove off we figured out that it was the absolute wrong drinks. A regular coke and a Dr Pepper with lime in it. Horrible customer service. read more

This location is always BEYOND slow and at least once a week the Diet Coke is super flat and I'm not getting back in the line to get a new one. I don't see why it takes so long to make a drink. I went to Swig for the very first time as they come highly recommended my friends. Swig has a great selection of drinks with some treats in case you need a pick me up, also if you have your pup with you , even though they don't have pup cups they do have milk bones, so make sure to ask for one so your pup feels special too. I'm not sure that I get all the hype around Swig--it seems like all of the other drink places around Utah where you can get a soda. This is a drive through Swig. There is parking in the back for employees but it's not an establishment you can walk into. The layout is not ideal. There is no signage for the entrance so make sure you enter the right way. We missed the entrance and had to go through another establishment's entrance to circle back. We also saw someone else enter through Swig's exit, so be careful and make sure you know where you're going and drive slowly once you enter. We were a bit surprised to come to this drive through joint only to discover they were out of Dr. pepper, Ginger Ale, and Mountain Dew. Either they were very popular recently or their supply chain is backed up. Either way, not a good look for a soda shop. What we got: Bloody Wild (with Sprite cause there was no Mountain Dew) - 3.5* I wish I could've swapped on Ginger Ale but that was a no go. Overall refreshing but not fantastic. Mango Breeze (with sparkling water) - 3* it was an average drink. read more

If you're looking for the ultimate sugar high this is it! The ultimate drive-through dirty soda cookie experience. Every time I come to Utah I go to swig, but I was fortunate enough to find out that they also have one in Arizona. If you're unsure what a dirty soda is picture taking a Mountain Dew and adding all types of sweet syrups and concoctions making it an interesting but delicious new drink. Have been to this location multiple times and the soda machine has been out of syrup. This time in particular was frustrating because we waited in line for 30 minutes and then received gross drinks. Update: I decided to give them another chance, but they got my order wrong AGAIN! I asked for confirmation to make sure that the order was correct, but when I went to the window it was wrong. Luckily, I checked it there and they made a new one for me. But, I am disappointed that they keep doing incorrect orders. Other people at my office have had similar experiences. I am super bummed right now about my experience at swig. They gave me a totally wrong drink to what I ordered. I was in a rush and did not have time to complain or get it fixed. So! I'm a seasonal worker and travel around working in resorts and trying local places trying to get a "local vibe" type thing. My local friends mentioned something about "dirty sodas". So, I thought I'd try it (and a cookie) Having nary a clue on what to do or order, me and my guy pulled up to the drive thru. The young lady there this morning (1/10/22 around 1130a) was so helpful, friendly and excited about the product! She helped us order and was some of the best service I've had in Utah, and EVER at a drive thru. Give this young lady a promotion (we both work in the service industry and as we pulled away we said we would hire her in a second at either of our establishments) The dirty sodas and cookie were all very good (we are literally talking about going back to try another soda now haha) but the drive thru attendant sold us on Swig. This peanut butter cookie was so delicious! I prefer the one without icing, the icing tends to be a bit too sweet for my taste. The Pretty in Pink refresher was also so delicious! Perfect drink to cool off in the warmer weather. The staff that I interacted with were so sweet! The drive thru area is a bit hard to turn into/turn out of, which is the only reason I gave it a 4-star. But, I will definitely be going back soon! read more

We tried Swig the last time we came to Salt Lake City. My kids remembered from a year ago so we came back. . .three times in three days. Love the drinks here. There is a combo for everyone. We've tried about 12 different drinks here, some better than the others. I think there was only one that my kids gave a thumbs down to. Employees are always friendly. Okay update Despite the traffic and the icky sugar cookie i upped my rating. I totally love the drinks but omg the chocolate chip cookie!!!! Delicious! It's definitely not for everyone though, and it was practically frozen but that's okay because i saved it for dessert. When it finally defrosted enough for me to not chip my teeth on it tasted amazing! very doughy and chewy (almost like raw cookie dough) , cold, and not many chocolate chips. Wow, so, this is purely just a place to get sodas, but they are unique, fruity, sweet and interesting sodas. The premise behind Swig is to take regular soda, like Coke, Sprite, Dr. Pepper, and Mountain Dew, and add fruit flavorings, creams, and real fruit to create delicious and intensely sweet drinks. This place succeeds pretty well at this endeavor. I got the Candy Girl. I almost forgot what it was when I was looking at the menu online just now since there are so many different options. I got the sugar free syrup and Diet Mountain Dew, and honestly this drink was pretty bomb. I would definitely classify this as a top five summer beverage. It was tropical, light, crisp and just fizzy enough. I could have put on my shades and sat on a beach and been in soda heaven pretty much. My siblings each got different drinks -- I think the DDD and the Raspberry Dream. Both good, but very, very sweet. The fruit on the bottom of the drinks is a welcome addition and discovery once you're finished drinking the soda. Would definitely come back for a specialty soda. read more

I enjoy Swigs a lot and I am lucky enough to live close enough that I can just walk over instead of having to go through the drive through. The sodas are good and the cookies are pretty great but this is the worst location possible. This building used to be a old grab and go Pizza Hut and the location for Swigs could honestly not be worse. There are always cars stacked six or seven deep into the road blocking traffic and spilling over into 7-11 right next door. It's a dangerous environment and it's made worse by the SLOW service of the workers. There's a little more room in the back to expand it and they really need to. Go inside if you can or just avoid it. read more

She ordered a sugar free drink, we paid and proceeded to the next window. The girl at the window handed my wife the drink and informed us it was not sugar free because they don't have sugar free? A blank stare was exchanged between the two. My wife asked, "do you no longer have sugar free options"? The girl responded with attitude saying, "it's not sugar free", then she closed the window on us. Key points for this businesses: Don't sell what you don't have. The location is bad, no parking available, and the line gets 3 cars deep before it starts blocking off traffic all day every day. No respect for local traffic. Also employees park everywhere else and call the cops on anyone else who dares park in the same lot (which isn't theirs to begin with). Addicting. Addicting. Addicting. While waiting in the long line, my husband and I were trying to figure out what is the big deal with cookies and soda? And how do they do so well that they have expanded in the valley? We tried the original frosted cookie and loved it. Moments later, we literally said "now I want a soda... That's it! That's how they get you! Cookies + soda!" We wanted to drive back to get a soda but didn't... We went back the next day though! This time we tried the chocolate frosted cookie and the chocolate chip cookie. Loved the chocolate frosted cookie, but think the chocolate chip cookie would be much better if it had more than just 3 mediocre pieces of chocolate chips! Also tried the dirty S.O.P soda (Dr. Pepper, coconut, and peach). It's less sugary than I had imagined, so not much added guilt from having a reg soda. Downside: No parking. Drive thru is very tight, does not accommodate a line of cars, and it's not speedy. Not good for backing up traffic on a busy main road. It's a shame to see that is very reason is the main cause of all the negative reviews. Location factor aside, cookies & soda are delightful. read more
