Uber excited for this piece to grow out and the customer service was top-notch! From the moment my daughter and I walked in to the moment we left, we were made to feel like family! Lastly, I was caught off guard when I was offered a freebie. I feel bad when I don't pay for something, but Ben insisted and for that I am very very grateful! My first recent try was to go the traditional route - heater, filter, bottles of water conditioner & beneficial bacteria, etc. etc. - when I unexpectedly happened upon an eye-opening You-Tube vid about the Walstad method (less homework & a more natural environment, the way God intended). So I returned all that other gear & am starting from scratch. Today there were red root floaters, one of the employees actually grew them - they were so healthy and super red I had to buy 3 cups !! I got more dwarf water lettuce bc my axolotl loved hanging in the roots. Staff today was super nice and helpful. There were 2 guys. It was extremely busy when I came like 10 people and they were helping everyone collaboratively. I hate when an employee only focuses on 1 customer who takes forever thinking and observing and there's a ton of ppl waiting. 7seas is a bit of a mixed bag for me. On the positive side, they have a really great selection of…read morefish and dry goods. Tanks, lights, filters, hardscape, supplies, you name it. They also clearly know what they're doing. The staff is knowledgeable and can answer questions without giving you that blank stare you sometimes get at other aquarium shops. But the pricing is honestly kind of shocking. A lot of their equipment is outrageously overpriced compared to what you can find online or even at other local stores. For example, I saw a UNS double valve connector selling for about $60 when the same thing is easily available online for around $20. They also had the Kessil 35° reflector priced at $50, and I've never seen those go for more than $30 or $35 anywhere else. I get that local fish stores have overhead and can't always compete with online pricing, and I'm totally fine paying a little more to support a brick and mortar shop. But some of these markups feel excessive. If you need something immediately and don't mind paying a premium, it's a solid store with good selection and knowledgeable staff. Just be prepared for some pretty steep prices on certain items. Overall I'd say it's worth visiting, but definitely price check before buying equipment.

There once were shelves with towels readily available for use now you have to ask staff for towels and they only give you two towels, if you have a larger dog with a thicker coat this doesn't necessarily work. They seem to never have cotton balls for the ear cleaning, most of the time don't have slip collars available to use while bathing your pup. My main concern is the visible mold on the bathing station.
