I treated at friend to Swiss Chalet at Keele and St. Clair West for his birthday and we enjoyed their delicious Thanksgiving Feast. It came with 1/4 chicken, fries, bun, stuffing, cranberry sauce and their famous dipping sauce. Plus a slice of pumpkin pie and a Lindor chocolate ball came later for dessert. The ambiance was great, not crowded at all for lunch time. And service was fantastic thanks to our server Barbara who always had a big smile! Her service I would give 5 out of 5. But I'm giving this review 3 out of 5 because the size of the 1/4 chicken is so small that it should somehow be illegal to serve such a tiny piece of chicken. This Swiss Chalet has their delivery logistics figured out! I only ever order delivery from here via the app and all 5 times (within 2 months...I'm a beast!) they delivered earlier than the quoted time! There was only one time when the driver couldn't figure out how to find my unit but they were nice enough to call and figure it out rather than leaving with concierge. The food has been awesome every time. Juicy chicken every time, the skin was great, and sauce piping hot! One tip I'd share is if you are generally a fries fan and like poutine, just upgrade for the poutine. It's really hard for those fries to stay crispy during the delivery process and the poutine is going to be smothered in gravy anyways so you don't just have soggy normal fries. Both the gravy and Chalet sauce poutines are tasty. Lots of cheese curds. I believe that they have completely transitioned to the eco-friendly packaging at this point. Earlier on in the year they were still using the black plastic containers for the poutine which seemed like it was slightly larger than the paper boxes which meant you got more. The outside bag was also the plastic one. My more recent orders have been in the paper based packaging complete with the sticker that has a QR code for games on it. If you go in person to this Swiss, it is attached to a Harvey's. Both have dining rooms that are separated from each other. The Swiss is full service. There's also a drive through here so you can get your meal to go. read more

Great place, service, and food. Staff is generally good. I order and eat at this location(before covid hit) and is generally a pleasant experience. For criticism sometimes they do forget an order item(Ex. they forgot my coconut pie). But they're usually nice enough to refund the missing meal. Swiss Chalet has always been one of my go-to places for cheap comfort food (delivered, usually), and it rarely disappoints. I mean, it's very simple and basic food, but fast and done well. Quarter chicken dinner with fries or baked potato, how can you go wrong? Especially smothered in that famous gravy. Delivery from this location was quick and easy. My friend got the poutine which actually looked amazing, a lot bigger than expected. The rolls were stale and hard, but that's a pretty minor component of the meal. Have not been to a Swiss Chalet for over 2 years and it was as I expected...amazing! I had the festive meal (quarter chicken with stuffing, fries, and cranberries). Dipping sauce, also amazing. And a roll. The only thing wron with this is that we did not receive the chocolates and the free meal coupons! Otherwise the appetizer spring rolls were good and the pieroggies too. There us enough parking but the lot is shared with a plaza if stuff as well as the neighbouring Harvey's. The Harvey's lot is a little cramped if you go when it is busy. The problem with this experience wasn't as much the food as it was the restaurant and the staff. I went with a group of 4 and we got the Delightfully buttery garlic cheese loaf, & the chicken spring rolls. For our entree's we all got separate meals. Flavour wise it has a slight hint of Dijon mustard. But overall the delight is minimal and like a UFC fight is over as fast as it begins. Given that the sandwich falls apart in your hands. My visit to this newly renovated location tonight was quite disappointing. I have been going to this location for 8 years. With the renovation they got a lot of new staff. When I entered the restaurant I stood st the entrance waiting for someone to come and seat me. Once I was seated I sat there at least 10 minutes before the waitress came and asked what I wanted to drink. The side plate she brought was dirty. I ordered a sangria which was awful and a glass of ice water. I asked if there was a drink menu and she brought me the food menu which did not have any drinks in it. I needed more ice water and it was a while before I actually got it. I ordered a cup of chicken soup which was great. I ordered a half chicken dinner with baked potato. The chicken was small and not very fresh and the breast was dry. The baked potato was tasty but not very hot. Overall a really disappointing experience. If and when I return to this location I will ask for a different server as her service was poor at best. read more

At this particular Swiss Chalet location, the food is consistently good and tasty, and the service is EXCELLENT. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating, and they really do make an extra effort to make you feel welcome. After eating here for years, my usual server Halina has become like family. I am one of the many "regulars" that frequent this location, and people have nothing but good things to say about her and the other staff. The owner is 'hands on' and really makes sure that any dining experience is wonderful. Never a problem to find parking. As for the food, the price is quite reasonable and the menu selection has improved tremendously in the last year or two. Terrible service! Ordered a meal for delivery from this Keele St location. It took 1 hour and 20 min to arrive. I called several times and was advised only after the 2nd call that there was an accident right in front of the restaurant preventing their drivers from getting to my house. This location is in a stripmall packing lot with numerous exits/entries. Apparently no one thought to use an alternate exit! When the food finally arrived it was missing part of my order and the chicken was obivously not warm. When I called back to complain, Jinell, the manager advised me she would offer me a $10 credit for the missing food, but would not credit my entire order as I requested. She said her regional manager would have to approve this and that she would call me in the morning. Surprise, no phone call. I do not recommend this location! Eat elsewhere. Very poorly run. Another incident a few years back while my family was eating in at the restaurant and I was told after about a 30min wait that they had "run out of chicken"! what?? So we were asked to wait another hour while they roasted more chicken. It wasn't even busy!! read more

I order from here often, I don't know what restaurant my food comes from but it seems like it's very badly prepared, always one thing missing, are used to call and complain now I'm writing it, it seems they just don't double check the orders before they go out, last time they gave me the wrong slice of pie, the corn was dry it was part of some Canadian meal deal, other times they have forgotten my drinks or small things like utensils or the buns, I'm not a big complainer in fact most of my reviews are good about every place so it's disheartening for me to have to write a review like this, I don't want another five dollar voucher from you, I just want my order prepared right, maybe they think people who are ordering out care less but we actually care more as I don't have time every night to cook my own meals as I have a very busy schedule, so when ordering I just wanted to be like when I eat in the restaurant... She kept checking on or table to see if we needed anything else. This is the closest Swiss Chalet to my house so we have ordered take out there a few times. They pretty much consistently mess up the order. It is usually something small like forgetting the extra dipping sauce. My daughter wanted to order Swiss Chalet for her birthday a couple of weeks ago. While we were eating we noticed they forgot an order of fries and skittles. I emailed the customer service line twice and both times they advised that someone would follow up. WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER. I went to the Swiss Chalet location at Weston and St. Clair Ave W. I was sitting there with my partner for at least 10 minutes before I was even acknowledged or asked if I can start off with anything to drink. THEN, when the server finally approached, she didn't even say anything so I just told her our drink, appetizer and food request. The water came first. We ended up getting the appetizer 10-15 minutes after giving in the request. My partner and I saw first hand that 3 tables have came in after us. The first table had a party of 4, second table had a party of 3, and last table had a party of 1 in the same section as to where I was seated. They all got their dinner meal before me and my partner AND have completed their meal and was ready to pay before my partner and I have even saw our meal. That's very outrageous. She walked by us a few times giving us ketchup and stuff with a very neutral-unhappy facial expression. After 45 minutes- 1 hour, I decided to approach the manager with my concern. She apologized for the service and said the dessert will be on the house. After getting our food, the server didn't even come back at all to check how the food is or if we wanted a refill on our drink considering we were running low. We got the hot brownie sundae TO-GO. We just got the hard cold brick of brownie with no sauce or ice cream. 1st time there and also MY ABSOLUTE LAST. TERRIBLE SERVICE.
