Three weeks ago I was on the hunt for a place that does "expert" alterations. After reading many reviews in the Burbank/Glendale area I finally chose Hye cleaners. I liked that they specialize in alterations for formal wear aside from all the other services they have. I met with Aram the owner and he was just awesome. So nice and helpful. I love this place. I had three pieces I needed altering and one piece for drying cleaning. Dry cleaning was about $12 for a cocktail jumpsuit -- pretty standard compared to other places. Alterations all together came out to be just under $70 -- which was very well-priced, especially considering the work needed. If I tried to get the same work done elsewhere, it would have been $100 minimum. Furthermore, the alterations were extremely well done; very precise and exactly to measurement. My time frame fell outside of their normal 48 hour turnaround but I explained what I needed and they were willing to get my suit taken care of a little early. I have been going here for 2 years because they are the most detailed and reliable cleaner/tailoring service I have ever been to. Even when I moved out of the city, I still drive back here when I need some services. I've had very delicate tops handled expertly when they needed to be cleaned. I really like that they assess the clothing with you for "trouble spots" that need to especially be cleaned, and they mark them with special tape. Ok so this place is the definition of a family business. Everyone inside had a smile on and made my first dry cleaning experience a good one. I asked for them to do military crease stitching and without hesitation they accepted my request. 2 days later, excellent work and exactly what I needed. Prices were very reasonable! Service is about how a company handles their customer service both good and bad. Mistakes happen. However I have had better experience with some of the Bloomberg's ranked most hated companies than I have with Hye Cleaners. Back in Feb of 2014 I started a new career and purchased a new wardrobe. I was working at Disney at the time and decided to utilize their onsite Dry Cleaning service who sources their Dry Cleaning to Hye Cleaners. A couple of days later I went to go pickup my Clothes and I was informed that there was a fire. That all of my clothes were gone. But not to worry because I will be reimbursed through their insurance. A month went by and there was no insurance form that was provided. By the time I got the insurance form it was a template form off of some "ez form" website. No official business header, nothing. Months went by and Hye Cleaners refused to provide me with their insurance information. In June of last year I was provided finally with an adjusters name. This adjuster was responsive and helpful. He was quickly "pulled off the case" and another insurance adjuster from LIGMSI took over. This whole process has been really horrible. When I talk to Hye Cleaners I keep getting the same templated response about "Make sure to contact insurance" However no one responds. I had a party to be at Saturday night and I need my dress altered ASAP. I dropped it off right when they opened, and she had rebuilt it totally by 2:30pm that SAME DAY. I payed $50 for rush charges, but it was worth every penny. She did an excellent job. Their prices are very reasonable. It's pretty much $12 to fix anything, jeans, shirts, etc. I haven't used their dry cleaning services, but I'm certainly going to always use them for any alterations I need. read more

They did a good job, when I went in to show what I wanted the person who actually does the tailoring was not in. So someone else like pinned my coat. I just wanted it taken in and hemmed. He told me it could probably be taken in like an inch and there would be a long seam, I said fine but he like mansplained that it's a coat, so it doesn't need to be "tight". Tight is not what I wanted I just wanted it to be a little more fitting it's rather large. I didn't need that, and what I want is what I want so like? I'm paying for it you know. I'm not an idiot. So I explained that I needed it pretty quick and I'm assuming that's why it was a bit more than what I was quoted when I had called a few weeks prior but having that info would have been nice. I explained that I had a flight so as early as it was ready if I could be called, that would be cool. He said 9:00am. I said yes, please. Day comes around, I'm scrambling and it's like 10:30, no one has called me. So I call and she says yeah it's ready. I get there, she was like idk not super nice so she rings me up, it's a bit more than I anticipated, fine it was done in a few days and I don't have time to ask. It was only hemmed, not taken in and there was no explanation about it. They did a fine job but I wouldn't go back nor refer anyone to them. read more

This place gave me such an Amazing experience and I would definitely recommend this for anyone needing of some top tier tailoring. I'm very particular when it comes to how clothes fits me. W/ that being said the owner was super helpful and his father did some amazing work on my Military Service Uniforms. He was easy to work w/ and understood exactly what I wanted and how I wanted it. Price wise I got a steal and he still added a discount on top of it. Another tailor was charging me $90 for what I needed done and I ended up paying only $36 here. She pays attention to the little detail stuff I like on my suits. The laundry service is awesome, nice crsip dry cleaning as well. Ashley is amazing!!! She seriously pulled off a miracle for me. I needed a dress altered on VERY short notice and everyone else I asked told me it wouldn't look right if I made the changes I wanted to make to it. Ashley was very confident and assured me she would have it done on time and that it would look great. She lined my dress so it was no longer see-through and shortened the straps just like I asked. The dress turned out perfect (I was literally jumping around in her store I was so happy). Not only that but she was really funny and nice and made me feel less stressed out about the whole thing. reasonably priced and good customer service. sorry to say i had a cpl issues with the shirts i brought in. they patched a hole in the one, which i was so grateful for bc its a linen material (and one of my favorite shirts). the patch of material, though, was just enough of a different color that i had to do my own patchwork on it (aka remove most of the differently colored material so it didnt look like a random block design). today, i just pulled out another one of the shirts i had drycleaned to find a few horrible creases on the collar. they weren't there when i brought the shirt in, ya know? read more

My alterations and cloths that need special handling dont go anywhere else. This place is right on a main street, so its easy for me to drop in once a week to pickup/drop off my cloths.
