I appreciated that he asked his coworkers for answers to questions he didn't know, rather than bullsh*ting us. That being said, I'm glad my husband and I did all of our research on the vehicle, features, and prices prior to coming to sycamore Chrysler. Our main concern was after we bought the vehicle. I wish I could say Sycamore Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram has provided me at least mediocre service, but even then, that would be providing to much praise. I purchased a 2018 Jeep Compass, and in my agreement I was supposed to be provided a cargo cover, which I did not receive at that time. So, I drove off the lot with a 1/4 tank of gas instead of the traditional full tank. When I called, manager Briana Long she said they would reimburse me for gas on Tuesday when the cargo cover came in. The following day the automatic engine start and stop feature service light came on. I thought I would come in Tuesday to pick up the cargo cover, the gas reimbursement, and get my car serviced. However, I never received a call Tuesday, in fact I never received a call throughout the week. When I called that following Saturday for an update, no one ever responded to my call. I decided to drive to the dealership which was more than an hour away. When I got Sycamore Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram, I was told until a manager was available I would be able to take my car to service. There I was told very rudely by the mechanic, that they couldn't service my vehicle that day because no was capable of making the repair until a certain mechanic came in on Monday. The general manager - RJ approached me said he wanted to make amends, so he said: to leave my vehicle there, he will give me a loaner vehicle, he will have someone look at my car first thing Monday morning. He also said, I will receive a call that Monday afternoon to let me know when my vehicle will be completed and he will drop off my vehicle with the check and the cargo cover the was supposedly back ordered. Again I didn't receive a call that Monday, so I called Wednesday; however, no sales manager answered my phone call. So I had to call each department to find out the status of my vehicle: Service said my vehicle was done Tuesday yet I didn't receive any call to let me know. Service forwarded me to Parts and I asked about the cargo cover - they said that the part was NEVER ordered. Today is Friday, November 28th and I still do not have my car, my cargo cover, or the simple reimbursement for gas. It has been almost 2 weeks for some of the items to be taken care of and it's a brand new car I do not understand how I got such poor service and quality from a dealership. read more

So these jerks especially Amy Bemis are still messing with things I was givin when I purchased this vehicle. I was clearly suppose to have Sirius XM and they cut off service. I called the dealership and contacted Amy and I was told no one is allowed to talk to me, and hung up on, Amy has ignored my texts and voicemails. Why is that? Because they screwed me over, lied to the state, gave me a different car than what's on my purchase agreement. Bring your car here if you want your car to be in worse shape than when you brought it in, a place that will release your car knowing that it is not safe to drive only to tell you that the issue is fixed when it is not,  if you like to be lied to, you like getting the run around, you like having to call everyday to find out the status, you like an incompetent service manager who lies and tells you that by replacing a Handle on your emergency brake will turn the check engine light off when all the while it was the replacement of the thermostat and coolant flush that turned the check engine light off, if you like to be talked to like you are stupid just because you are a women, if you like rude and nasty customer service people, and if you like a pushy salesman trying to sell you a new car while you are trying to get someone to help you find out what the problem is with your car in the service shop.  If this  appeals to you, by all means use Kunes.  If you don't value this kind of service and who would, be warned, This is the WORST place to bring your car.  They lie like a rug and in my opinion don't have any idea what they are doing. read more

Originally gave a high rating until I learned that the repair they did to my truck didn't address the actual issue and the truck broke down 6 days later from the exact same problem. January: I found a Jeep Wrangler online with a great price through car gurus which got me in contact and led me to their website. I live 45minutes away. I then checked out their Yelp reviews and I immediately felt uneasy about coming here and/or purchasing and questioning if it was worth my drive. Truth is in my experience YELP IS WRONG! They should have at least 3.5-4 stars. It was definately worth the drive! Service was great, I didn't get scammed or felt cheated, Frank D. My salesman and Andrea were both great employees! Friendly, not pushy, kept in touch but not too in touch like the salesman that breath down your neck. Frank was such a great guy and I didn't feel harassed or annoyed by him like some other salesmen at other dealerships! I have nothing better to say but THANK YOU for my Jeep and your help Frank!! Update 3/13/20- So the next day they made me come back because they had never changed the oil and told me to come back the next day for it. When it was light out I realized they NEVER detailed the car from the past owner or whoever drove it. They had the Jeep all day and told me it would be ready for me by 6pm when I got there. White dog hair everywhere, opened hard candy stuck to the dash, water in the cup holders, 2 pretzel bites, one thumb tack, candy wrappers everywhere and a gas station soda cup! Also have found out that the spare tire they sold me on the jeep already had a rusty screw in it!!! Called them and ask for them to either replace the tire or patch it for free and the lady instantly transferred me without apology and the service area never answered.... so I left a voicemail with my information and it has been 2 weeks now since I have left the voice mail. read more

But a salesman named Steve was a total asshole!!! Like.. huge asshole. Everything was fine until he wanted my phone number. I told him we'd be back tomorrow. I've been driving in Iowa with an expired drive away plate for two months. The title clerk Sara Lemen 815-991-2710 will not return my calls. I call and ask for a manager, they ask what the issue is and they send me to Sara. Great way to do business. I've been there to buy a used Honda 2012 vehicle. They uploaded good price on internet, so I drove 3.5 hours to see and buy the car. However, after the test drive, they just said the price was mis-printed, and they could not sell the car on that price. In addition, they suggest almost new car price. It was really really bad experience and seems it was their intention. Anyway, I didn't buy the car, and spend times (more than 7 hours). And also gas money. I went there to get info on installing a front license plate and replacing a rear license plate bulb light. An employee by the name of Briana Long was so helpful and knowledgeable that I was in and out within 15 mins! She even installed my front license plate on my car even with her nails freshly done. I would not recommend buying or having a car serviced there. Bought a used van which has cost me a fortune in repairs. Bought the extended warranty of which everything they say is wrong with the car is not covered. What they do fix still doesn't work! Worst dealership ever. After having bought a "CERTIFIED used Toyota" from Brian Bemis I'm finding that I might have acted slightly naive when it came to purchasing a Certified used vehicle. I assumed that Certified meant that everything on the vehicle was good to go, but I should have inspected everything MUCH BETTER. There are numerous problems which Bemis said they would take care of, but a month later they still have not. My wife and I paid them a visit today and found the general manager, Phil Boland to be particularly unsympathetic and rude. He accused me of "brow beating" his staff, and called me a liar, and then when I became angry threatened to have the police remove me from the premises. Are you kidding me? After I spent almost 30k? I know my experience was quite different from the others posted. My salesman, Rob, is probably the only reason I bought from them, and the service manager, Jim, tried his best to help. However, the general manager, Phil, ultimately was the most disrespectful person who has ever gotten that much of my money and I wouldn't dream of ever giving him a penny more. We are pretty much life long Honda buyers, love them because need very little service. At this point we are very glad of that. We took our daughters 2016 Honda civic, which she purchased into have warranty work done, because the touch screen wasn't working correctly and recall done and the car came back with a scratch on the driver's side near the back door and gas cap area. I saw the gas cap was opened on my way home, so when I got home I went to close it and saw a huge deep scratch, all the way down to the metal. Immediately called the dealership and reported it. When back an hour later and talked to the Joe Emerick the Service Manager. He told us his workers said it didn't happen there. I asked why the gas cap was open? He said some must have it in the parking lot and they aren't responsible for that damage. He obviously doesn't know his product, as the only way you can open the gas cap is with the keys in the car. They were in the building. We went to our body shop guy and he had received a call from them, checking on us. Basically they decided there was no way we could prove if happened there, so they weren't taking responsibility. We own 5 Honda vehicles and will NEVER step foot in that dealership again. read more

I enjoy writing good reviews to help local businesses - this is not one of them. I had a flat tire and went to Bemis. I was informed that all my tires are in need of replacement. While I received quotes of $9990 and $1100 for all four, I asked that they just replace the one tire. The tire was to be delivered in the afternoon so I was driven home about 10:30. I received no call. When I finally called, the service dept had closed for the day. Person I talked to knew nothing about the service dept, so I didn't know if there were more problems or issues. While I planned to reschedule a few appts for the day, I had no idea my car would be held overnight - and I had an appt in West Chicago at 7:30 AM the next day - when the service dept reopened. Again no call in the AM, so I called. Tire hadn't arrived yet. Waited until later in the morning, "the tire will be here at lunch time.' At 3PM still no call, I called. Several people handed the phone around, before someone went in back to check. They were just finishing the lug nuts. They said it is just finishing and sent a shuttle for me. 10 min later I get a call that my car is ready. Yea I knew that already. I believe I know the estimate but ask about the price. The price was almost 3x the quote. I ask why!!! They replaced two tires. Why? Well all the tires are bad and we suggest you replace at least two at a time. But I only asked for one 1. because the price they quoted me was too high, 2. I could go have (Should have) gone to a tire store or even Walmart for tires 30% cheaper and have them installed in an hour. So not only did I get something I specifically did not want, hence a larger bill which strained my budget and lose work for two days for a simple 1 tire replacement. I was seriously screwed. Manager didn't seem to care or reply with much interest. No answer to why I was never called - Wed PM to give updates, Wed by close time to say they need to keep the car, TH AM at any point to say there was a delay to get tires to them. VERY FRUSTRATING, DISAPPOINTING. When they asked me if they could have shuttled me someplace while I waited for my car, I should have asked them to take me to a tire place so I could get a cheaper tire that I could have picked up and returned with and gotten my car. I've since learned of other people's issues with this business. They may be one of the biggest in the area but they forgot how to offer service, respect and honestly. You'll thank me for steering you away from a bad experience. read more

I brought in my car for a problem with the cruise control. I was told via phone that I needed new brakes. (?) I told them NOT to repair them and I would be in directly to pick up my car and take it to my brake shop. The fellow on the other end of the phone told me that I couldn't do that; that I had NO brakes. I said that I would be in to pick up my car, that I would drive very carefully and slowly via back roads directly to my brake shop, and again told him I would be there directly. I arrived within 10 minutes of our conversation. When I asked for my car, the service manager tried to talk me into buying the brake parts from the shop. I said that was unnecessary and that I would let my regular mechanic take care of it. I told him that the only reason I brought in the Mazda to their service center was because of the cruise control, which they said was fine. For some reason I had to wait another 20 minutes to get my car. I believe, but I cannot prove, that they had already begun brake work and then had to un-install what they had done even though I expressly told them that I did not want my brakes done. When I drove it to my mechanic, he checked it, and he said that I did NOT need brakes for at least another 10K miles. Bottom line: when I need my Mazda serviced by a Mazda dealer, I drive it to Anderson in Rockford. It is doubtful that I will ever buy a car from or get a car serviced at Bemis. read more
