Service is terrible here. I'm surprised these morons know how to open a hood. I'll NEVER bring anything here.

From start to finish, I went in on a whim to buy my daughter her first car, explained what I was doing and what I wanted this particular car for, and all the people that I spoke to, not just my salesman, were more than willing to talk to me about the car and the safety features of this car over another. Even down to the Service department, wanting to make sure that it was everything I wanted it to be to surprise her with. Financing - flawless, quick, honest straight forward and the quickest I have ever purchased a vehicle. I live an Hour away from this dealership, and I will travel back for my next vehicle. Thank you! She loved the Acura!

We live out of…read morestate and I had been looking at Range Rover Sport SUVs (2024 and 2025 models) within a 250 miles radius of our home. I had been watching the price on several of these SUVs available at Kunes. We had been planning a trip to Chicago anyway and decided to stop in Sycamore on our way into the city. To make a long story short, the price of the car was advertised as $61,000 online on several reputable third party sites. I even called the afternoon before we stopped by the dealership to confirm the price with the salesperson (Peyton) to make sure it was worth my time to stop and look at several of these SUVs. Peyton said the price has actually dropped a little to $60,600. Great, I thought! I should have known something wasn't right when the sales guy was pushing one of the other Range Rovers (same year, with less mileage) but with a $68,000 price tag. I asked to see the $61k SUV. He informed me it was on a "long term test drive" and wasn't available. When I clearly saw the car I saw online sitting in the lot I walked him over there and said- "What is this one? It looks like the Range Rover you claim is on a long term test drive". He said he would go inside and check it out. I should have realized right then and there this entire place is full of scammers and liars. We test drive the SUV (you know, the most affordable one that was allegedly on a long term test drive and not available) and love it. We are sitting at the sales desk, ready to make a deal and finalize paperwork. Sales guy keeps us waiting for over an hour because he is not "allowed" to do pricing- that's the manager's job. Finally, the paperwork comes back and the purchase price is $71,000! What??? Based on the Carfax report Kunes had purchased the car back in early April. You are joking right? I am getting ready to purchase a $60k vehicle you have had sitting on your lot for almost five months and you raise the advertised price by $10k right before I am ready to cut you a check for $60 grand? Ha, ha. What idiots. I should have known that gross vape and kratom I found in the middle console should have been my warning sign that this place is as shady as a trailer park. RUN don't walk from this dealership. I am in my mid-40's and this was the sketchiest experience of my entire life. Maybe they should sell beaters, not high end cars. Anybody with half a brain can see this scam from a mile away. If I could have given negative stars, I would have. I think the authorities should audit this place and make sure it is actually legit and selling cars.

Sycamore was the cheapest out of the three Honda dealers, and they were able to locate and trade with another dealer to find the color I wanted. However, a year later, the wheel locks I purchased (when I bought the car) are already RUSTING. Service told me I would have to pay for wheel lock replacements as those are not covered under warranty. Honda does not stand by them as they are "an accessory." It's very disappointing that Honda, a company that touts reliability and longevity, buys a crappy aftermarket accessory, doesn't stand by the product under warranty, and then passes that cost off to the customer. (To be clear, I take care of my vehicles. This Civic gets washed frequently, and it has been waxed three this year. Prior to this Civic, I had a Ford for 14 years, and I NEVER saw this type of wheel rust on it. SMH )

Took all the measurements and "Honda" wasn't satified. It was an error at the factory. The hood was half inch too small to fit the car. Bought 2 different hoods actually and they both were wrong. They added an extra $2,000 to the price for "reconditioning"the used vehicle. They claim every dealership does this, I've bought 2 more vehicles since & no one does this BS. They also tried to add a warranty by saying "you get the warranty" until I looked & the payment jumped almost $200 a month. Maybe just advertise the actual price of the truck, I wouldn't have even been there if I knew that the truck was $2,000 more than I was willing to pay. I didn't pay for the reconditioning or the warranty. This place is SHADY!

I recently had a very frustrating experience at Hyundai of Sycamore while used car shopping…read more First of all I am a 65 year old female and have a lot of experience purchasing cars on my own over the years. To say this was my worst experience ever is not even a slight exaggeration. I found a used vehicle online through Capital One Auto that I inquired about and was then in touch with Cheriee the sales manager. I dealt with a different salesperson after I arrived but I am not going to mention him by name because I truly feel that he is being groomed and he has to do what he has told by the higher-ups. I went in that morning to look at the vehicle before work. The price was $13,500. I asked what was included in the price and I was told the powertrain warranty plus another warranty which unfortunately I don't remember what they called it. I called later to speak to the salesperson I had dealt with confirm that I was on my way back for a test drive after work later that day and spoke to my salesperson. After I arrived I was told two things. One was that there was another person there looking at the same vehicle. This made me feel like there was pressure to the sale that I would rather have not had to deal with. Additionally I was informed that when they brought the vehicle from another location that they had missed tagged the price and it was actually $18,500! I was assured don't worry we will work this out and keep you within your budget. When I return from my test drive the other buyer was still there but she soon got up swearing and stormed out of the building. I assumed it had something to do with two of us looking at the car at the same time. After deciding I wanted to purchase this car my salesperson was back and forth several times with the finance manager. First of all I hate this type of sales tactic. You get little bits of information and then they take information back and forth between the two of you which causes confusion and more pressure. In the end this $13,500 totaled up to over 23,000! Not only did they refuse to negotiate the price at all after their mistake but both warranties that I was told about when I asked what was included we're not actually included in the price but were extra for a total of $5,000. Additionally they added $1,600 for Gap coverage and insisted that it was mandatory with the finance company. I later found out that that is absolutely not true and was of course much cheaper through my own insurance company if I opted to get it. Needless to say my payments at $880 a month would have been over three times my budget which I disclosed not only to Cheriee when we spoke earlier in the day but also to my sales manager/finance. The high pressure sales, misleading information let alone bait and switch tactics were unbelievable. Fortunate for them I didn't leave swearing like the other buyer did, mostly because I was in shock but also because I will not create a public scene. However even after allowing myself to think about this for a few days I am appalled at the treatment and service I received. I highly recommend you avoid purchasing a car here unless you are ready to aggressively deal with these types of !

We had contacted no less than 7 Mercedes-Benz dealers to find a car that we liked. Some had a car we were interested in and some offered to order a 2017 or in one case one was able to do a dealer-trade on a 2016. This particular car at Brian Bemis was a service loaner with 777 miles on it. Michelle, the sales manager, was always easy to get ahold of either via email or voice. She even gave her cell number and told us to text or call her on the morning of Memorial Day if we were unable to make it to pick up the car. We showed up for the delivery and it went very smoothly. Our initial product specialist was unable to make it due to a military commitment on Memorial Day, so Terry was the product specialist who we dealt with on delivery day. He was also a pleasure to deal with. The dealership offered the typical "glossy clear coat", "glass protection package", "extended warranty protection", and all of the other high profit margin add-ons, which I declined. They never tried to pressure us into these after I simply stated that we were not interested. Having done our homework on financing, I knew that the lowest rate available anywhere was my Company's credit union. Lee, the finance manager, was able to magically beat that rate by 0.1%. The other nice thing is that we saved a bundle in taxes by purchasing at Brian Bemis over purchasing at many of the other Chicago-area dealers because of Sycamore's lower taxes. Your mileage may vary, but 5 stars in our personal experience with everyone at Brian Bemis. Everything was just real easy.

But I was told the day before pick it up, "It has 1800 miles on it" this didn't concern me much. The day I pick the car up. It being a keyless ignition car the first warning the car gave me was "key battery low" I told the sales manager and the sales man this and they told me how easy was to replace the batteries in the key fob. Another salesman tried to say it was because I had both keys with me. I replaced the batteries my self at home. I parked the car and my wife and I went on a trip for a week. When we returned she was excited for her first ride in our new Mercedes. When I started the car it indicated that the car was 21 days passed service A. Thats not the exact wording but it was sold to me needing the first service. I called the dealership and ask about this and was told they would look into this. After two days and two calls to different people I called Mercedes USA. They were very helpful but also informed me the warranty period for this car started in February of 2013. Basically I lost a year and a half of the new car warranty. This is very strange because the service is calculated on time and not mileage. So why did the service indicator wait a year and a half to count 365 days. And also this was sold as a new car with a certificate of origin. I have received no answers to these questions from either the Brian Bemis dealership or Mercedes USA. I fortunately purchased an extended warranty but am not impressed with Mercedes at all. As far as the dealership I don't know if they are dishonest or just incompetent.
