In it you'll find delicious Szechuan style cuisine. Actually pretty great service, ample parking and speedy dishes. The quality of food is definitely better than most Chinese restaurants I've had In the area. The interior of the restaurant is a little older and run down, but don't let it scare you away. the food is delicious. one of our favorite(s) are that fried chicken or fried fish with the string beans and tons of dried chili flakes/peppers. always amazing, and be careful, it's piping hot! nice and crispy texture, super flavorful dish! I've also tried their eggplant tofu stir fry, it's really good and filling for you vegetarians. the dan dan noodles are also so good and fun to eat. lots of flavor and super tender noodles. I wish i had no limit to what my belly could hold, I can eat 3+ orders if I didn't care about how stuffed I would get. other than that, I dont remember what else I've ordered, but i know I'm always happy and satisfied when we leave here. tea is good and they're great on refilling the pot. they also box up your food and give you fortune cookies. anywho, it's a great hidden gem in this area of town. definitely give it a try! read more

Good Food, Lousy Service and Menu Went with a friend and had some great food. The problem is you don't know how large some items will be or what else is in there. You don't know if some things will come in a soup, or cold or with rice. Our waiter rushed us to order. As a result, you could end up ordering things you don't need. But the service was pretty poor. We were asked to pay before finishing and could not find anyone to ask for some to go containers. When we asked for the waiter's name in case we had a question he said anyone could help us. In fairness, this was a half hour before closing and I'm sure they wanted to get home, but if that's the case, why not tell us they were not seating new customers? Good food. I bought the Chongqing chicken and the Mapo tofu for take out. First of all, the portions were fairly large. Secondly, there was a healthy amount if spice but not overbearing. Finally, both dishes were really tasty. They were one step below the Sichuanese food I had in Chengdu. I can't comment about service but the food was worth 5 stars. read more

I ordered from this place via their door dash service because I was staying in a local hotel. Two items cost nearly $40 and I did not receive my complete order. Door dash did not provide a resolution to providing the rice for my dinner. They issued a 14 dollar refund, but when I tried to reorder the rice they were going to charge me almost $10 in delivery taxes and fees to bring me the dang rice I shout have gotten in the first place. The restaurant does not deal with their customers directly.. they hide behind the delivery company, which by the way provides no phone number NEVER AGAIN. This restaurant and door dash provides terrible customer service. Don't order from this place unless you don't mind getting 50% of your order and no utensils or napkins despite as for them. read more

I really only come here for 2 dishes, the chong-qin chicken and deep fried spicy fish. Both dish are breaded and deep fried and are topped off with red peppers. The lunch menu has a pretty good selection and portions are big. Lunch and dinner menus are reasonably priced. One thing I will say is, this is a Chinese restaurant, so expect Chinese Restaurant service. That being said, the younger people working there are extremely personable and accommodating. read more

Kinda tucked in a mini mall behind Harbor Freight off West Valley. Lunch time is super busy. The Mapo Tofu is one of the best things I've ever eaten and I don't even like tofu that much. Also try the Chong Quin chicken, super hot but delicious. All the dishes are really spicy which I like. I would have given 5 stars but it seems like regulars get preferred seating so be prepared to wait even if you are next in line lol. When I go to chinese restaurants (and sometimes teriyaki restaurants) the dish i always try first is Szechuan Chicken. It's my favorite, so I try it first to gauge how everything else will be, so when I see a place with Szechuan in the name, naturally, i have to try it. When I walked in all I could smell was cigarette smoke. I felt like I was at a casino. If you are a smoker then it wont bother you but I'm not a fan and was hoping my dinner wouldn't be equally disappointing. It wasn't. My girlfriend and I ordered the pork belly and wonton soup for apps. The pork belly hit the table first. I took a bite and was surprised by the fact that it was served cold. I asked the server of it was supposed to be like that and he said it was. Cold or not though, the pork belly was delicious. It was swimming in a sweet and spicy sauce that I used later to pour on my rice. My girlfriend enjoyed the wonton soup, I thought it was just okay. Entrees: I ordered the Szechuan chicken (surprise!) And she got the broccoli beef. My dish had just the right amount of meat to veggie ratio and the savory and spicy sauce was perfect. The broccoli beef was good, not great. Beef was marinated and tender. Sauce was decent. Overall one of the better chinese restaurants I've tried in this general area. The food came out quickly. We had the ChonQing Chicken which was overall OK. The chicken was fried but was relatively hard and dry, didn't feel fresh to me. The garlic spread was also only put on half the chicken which was disappointing, I love that stuff! The DanDan Noodles were better. They had no peanut/sesame flavor, which might be just a Northern style of it, but I still liked them. The main source of flavor is the chili oil that is on the bottom of the bowl so after mixing the noodles thoroughly, I had a bowl of oil coated noodles, which was both good and bad. They tasted good with good spice levels but the oily feeling got old fast. Overall was an affordable and quick place to eat. read more

Ordered deep fried intestines for take out. Was done in less than ten minutes! Had the right amount of crunch to it, and everything is so delicious (including the cabbage)! So, this is my wife and my favorite Chinese restaurant and goto place. As my wife is Chinese, I can speak with some authority when I say this is the best Chinese food around. I usually get the same items when we order, the Mongolian beef, the duck, sweet n sour pork, eggplant and garlic water spinach. The spinach you really want to only order it in the spring as stored spinach comes out too crunchy and hard and a bit bland tasting, but in season, woof its good. My wife will also get a few things to top off the selections, like twice fried pork, and or some fish soup type, or yuk, tofu, but all in all, we really love coming here and well worth it. The only drawbacks are we now order and take out to bring home, the prices have gone up a bit, understandably due to current situations, and we think the portions have gotten smaller a bit as well, but still, overall, the service is great, and the food is Ridonkulous good. It is our holiday, anniversary, birthday or just want good food place to go. read more

I have been here almost every week over the past couple months and I feel a little guilty knowing I left them such a terrible review. I have been here many many many times, their chong qing chicken is just soo good! Their garlic eggplant, is not very flavorful on the day of order, but the next day it tastes incredible! Also they give you like 6 egg plants per order which really makes it a killer deal in my opinion. Since I got over my stubborn tip related fit, I have returned many times and have tipped reasonably. We are greeted with smiles and their service is very fast and good. I will probably be back there again on my next day off. I deduct .5 stars because they may be doing questionable business practices for no-tippers; while raising a $0 tip to 10% is not acceptable, it's really not terrible. I have not had any other issues with tips and receipts since I started tipping above 15%, but I also haven't checked my receipts since the 2nd or 3rd time after. read more

Talk about a deal! Great place for Chinese food! All the staff are from Sichuan Provence and speak Chinese with me! After living in china for many years I can easily say this is one of the better Chinese places in the Renton area! You can never get exact same as China as that's impossible, but it comes close. They have a great Sichuan style wonton and their stir fry eggplant is to die for! That is my all time favorite dish and they do a great job with it! This is a great place for lunch! This was a nice find. Ambiance - not so much. It's a strip mall restaurant - so the location is not all that exciting. However - they had good service and the food was exceptional. My wife had the Honey Walnut Shrimp - not only was it really good, we had never seen so much shrimp come out in a restaurant dish. I had the Hot Garlic Pork (excellent) with a side of rice. Both items were extremely generous in portion. So the upshot is I probably wouldn't choose this place for date night but I would definitely come back for the good food. read more

OMG! This place is lethal! I have dined here before, and the food has always been good in a homey, small cafe atmosphere usually filled with local ethnic patrons, and others. This time it almost landed me in the hospital! I ordered four dishes and soup from this restaurant and had it delivered by DOOR DASH and when it was delivered it had been tampered with at the restaurant to make it inedible. We had asked that the dishes we ordered to be made "mild" and put "not spicy" and "Please make mild, no spice"...yet when it arrived the Mongolian Beef was swimming in hot Szechuan Oil, and the Kong Pao Chicken had over 100 of the hottest dried Szechuan peppers they grow! Normally this dish contains one, two or even three of these very hot peppers, yet the cook evidently didn't like to be told to make things mild, and threw in every hot item they had in the kitchen! Who does this? Capsaicin from the peppers at this level is inedible, toxic and even lethal, especially to older diners like ourselves. My wife had stomach distress for two days and I had to spit out the very first bite...it was too hot to even eat, spice wise. I called the Restaurant Manager who used a fake name and did nothing about it... THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN! I CONTACTED KING COUNTY HEALTH DEPT. AND AM AWAITING A REPLY... I am a "foodie", have eaten this food many times and know food tampering when I see it. Stay away! They have people in the kitchen that will spit in your food.... read more

I came upon this place because I really wanted some general tso chicken tonight but desired something with higher quality than Panda Express . My (to-go) order was ready within ten minutes of me calling it in, which was nice so I didn't have to wait long at all. The food is good... didn't knock my socks off. It seems to have a lack of flavor - the only other notable thing is that the sauce/marinade wasn't too dry but not too saucy/liquid-y either which is nice. Customer service was just fine and the food came to us piping hot, smelling delightful (especially the chicken). But, the taste was WAY off, and not in an "it's not authentic" sort of way. Dumplings: - Dough was pretty thick, but it was okay. - They were barely cooked. The insides were just warm, and had that "undercooked" lack of flavor with a weird texture. Chicken: - Smelled great, but..... - The chicken, again, was just barely cooked and almost underdone. - Chicken was very thin slices - And the BAD part: There was something ON the chicken (tasted like baking soda) that made our tongues pop/chemical burn. My husband and I come here on our anniversary, birthdays, and occasion we are here we LOVE it that much. I honestly have not tried everything in the menu because I have my favorites and that is Chopped pepper hot chicken, Deep fried fish Szechuan style, Mongolian beef, and there's couple more and this is the only please we come to for Chinese food. I guess I can say that we stopped looking for a good Chinese restaurant since we have found Szechuan First. What is Szechuan exactly?? A dish, usually a Chinese one, that is spicy, a bit oily and peppery. This is exactly what I was craving and I realized that this one is the only one I know that does it the way I like it. I ordered the CHILI CRAB once again and was reminded of why I love this place. The two pounds of crab was cooked in a unbelievable chili oil mix, green onions and peanuts that have a sweet flavor to it. There are clumps of the chili that, when you eat it, has a heat to it (not too spicy) but also a sweetness and a hint of crunch that can only be compared to the cereal Honey Bunches of Oats. Those crunchy, sweet clusters that is just so good ....but with a mix of whole peanuts, chili, sweetness and green onions. Oh yeah,and the crab wasn't dry and tasted great... Also, I ordered the HOT BRAISED ROCK COD that is really a spicy foodie's dream! It was cooked the best possible way with the chilis and sauce.
