Haven't been here in a long time. They were pretty good a while back. Had dinner here tonight, not to good. Hair in the wifes dinner, ice tea never came, wonton soup was awful. They tried to convince us there was no hair in the meal. The cook/owner? did end up taking the hairy meal offthe bill. All in all we won't be back. read more

Whenever I pass through Auburn for work I make a point to stop here on my way home. The staff is friendly and the food comes out quick! My go to is the sesame chicken and the crab/cream cheese wontons. Everything tastes great, the portions are big, and the price can't be beaten. read more

I have been looking for good Chinese for awhile now so this place completely satisfied my craving. It was delicious!! We were staying in a hotel and had a long drive the next day so I knew our leftovers were not going to make the trip. We didn't want to waste them so ate them late night and it was still delicious. Good food! We come here a lot and only one time I received a bad vegetable. Tasted moldy with bad texture. But other than the one bad experience out of hundreds this place does great work! Their sesame tofu is awesome for vegetarians. Ask them to add vegetables to it as well for a nice meal! read more

This is our 'go to' when we want Chinese take-out. I also often stop here for lunch if I am in the leisurely mode and want to just hang out. The food preparation isn't consistent but the ingredients always seem fresh and the problems might be in the uneven knife work. Pretty good food, it's my favorite in town. I've been going here for years and have not noticed a change in quality like a couple of other reviews mentioned. In particular, the won ton soup is good, as are most of the veggie dishes. Keep in mind, the standard for Chinese food in Auburn is not extremely high (it's the same for Mexican food). My husband and I frequent this place. I really don't believe it has MSG in it. The food is great, fast & the people are very friendly. Our favorites are the crab cheese wontons, orange chicken, walnut chicken (not on the menu, but it's great!), and chicken fried rice. On the positive side this is a very clean restaurant run by very nice people who work really hard. The food was fresh and well cooked. Unfortunately they got my order wrong, overcharged me and I have to say that the food was without question the blandest Chinese food I've ever had. I ordered kung pow shrimp and got some chicken dish that was overflowing with peanuts and had exactly 2 huge pieces of red pepper in the whole portion. Maybe it was supposed to be kung pow chicken and the cook was just too busy to cut up the chilies into smaller portions? Food is great, staff is very friendly. Fast service. I haven't eaten in the restaurant, only ordered take out but it was ready when they said it would be ready, fresh and delicious. Tucked away in a corner by Raley's, I'm not sure they get a lot of foot traffic, but their food is great. I didn't give a 5 review simply because there is always room for improvement. Our company visits Szechuan Restaurant often. The service is fantastic and I have never had a bad meal there. If you are one who does not like MSG in his or her food, they will happily leave it out. All you have to do is request NO MSG. They are very accommodating. read more

Love the food here! Everything is fresh and full of flavor. We had the Mandarin Beef, Garlic Chicken, Pork Fried Rice, and the BBQ Ribs.

Absolutely horrid!! Used to go to this place all the time. As the years have gone by, so has the quality. For lunch today, we seemed to have been served last nights left overs. Four of us left from lunch and barely made it in the door with diarea..... ALL 4 OF US.!!!! If it isn't MSG, than it was old food and poor health standards. Last time we at there I was affected the same way. My other dinner guest was not and I wrote it off as a fluke! Now I know better!!!!! NEVER again!!! I should have known something was up when the 2 waitress had chinese take out for lunch too but they brought it in from some place else. Auburn has too many better choices than this dive. read more

Don't know what happened to this restaurant, it used to be our favorite for Chinese food in Auburn. However, the last few times we ordered takeout it took almost an hour to get our food and we have also received the wrong order on more than one occasion. Tonight half our order was waiting when I got there the rest still needed to be fired. So, some was cold by the time I got home. The fried shrimp were over battered and pasty, there was no sauce for the pot stickers and the pancakes for the mu-shu were not warmed and therefore tasted like raw rice flour. It is sad that this place will no longer be on our list of local restaurants to frequent. Apologies from staff can't make up for the cold food and slow service. read more

we live in baker ranch and there is never any place to eat in foresthill, we drove to szechuan and they greeted us like we were royalty, my husband has celiac and they made his food separate and flour free..many thanks, they even gave us extra to take hoe..great meal, it hit the spot many thanks we have gone many times and we are never disappointed read more

Warning!!! DO NOT EAT HERE!!! This is the worst restaurant I have ever visited. The place is filthy. The restrooms were covered in pee & looked as if they had never been cleaned. Deep down unsanitary. The staff were sitting at a table wrapping the "chicken in paper(foil) appetizers with their bare hands, then taking orders, etc. Dirty boxes, vacuum, mops & brooms lined the hallways and the floors were full of debris. Then the food came... the fried prawns looked like mini corndogs and all of the dishes tasted of the same "dirty oil" used to cook them in. Usually a person can be safe ordering fried rice, but not here...I could barely choke down 1/4 cup worth. I had ordered chicken chow mein, but took one bit & returned it to the kitchen for a refund. Basically it was greasy brown noodles with some type of pounded, rubberized chicken meat. No veggies to be found. I also bit into a char of Chicken bone...I hope. If I wasnt with a group of friends I would had walked out on the spot. I will be contacting the health department on this one for sure. My husband & I had to pretty much bathe & gargle hand sanitizer in order to get that YUK! feeling off! read more
