    Wedding dress alterations

I could not have been happier with the outcome of my dress!! After a nightmare experience at a different alteration place in Charlotte, T and T took in my dress, listened to my needs, and transformed it into more than I could have imagined to begin with! They truly made my vision come to life beyond what I even asked for! Her prices are extremely reasonable, especially knowing I had already paid for prior alterations gone wrong somewhere else, and I was very pleased with the entire experience.

This is the dry cleaner I have been looking for in the Fort Mill area. I have tried them all and either been disappointed by quality of service or ridiculously high prices. My first visit was for 20 shirts and needed them in 2 days. I returned 2 days later, shirts were completed and one extra detail that I love was the sleeves were clipped together in the front. No other cleaner in this area does that and trust me, it makes a difference by keeping the shoulders area from "pre-mature" wrinkling. ;-) The person who assisted me was extremely friendly, prices were reasonable, and I truly felt like my business was appreciated. This guy will be back!

I dropped off 4 jackets on Friday, July 3rd for dry cleaning (with one small alteration for a hole in a jacket pocket). I was given a pickup date one week later, Friday July 10th. I arrived the following Tuesday, July 14th only to learn my items were not in the store despite the additional 4 days. After waiting for the gentleman behind the counter to place a few phone calls to locate my order, I was handed his cell phone and spoke with who I can only assume was the manager. I was told the jackets were still offsite due to one of the jackets being identified as "at risk" of being damaged, if dry cleaned. I found it inconsiderate that no one bothered to call me before making the trip to the store to learn for myself but honestly, not the end of the world. I was asked if I wanted them to dry clean it anyways and risk potential damage, or if I would instead wish for them to leave that jacket out and be given "store credit" for the dry clean purchase of that jacket. I responded clearly to please simply return the jackets - do not risk damage - and we will figure out the compensation (wasn't thrilled about having store credit pushed as the solution as I use dry cleaning services maybe once every 4-5 years and certainly would hesitate to be a return customer for this particular business given the experience so far). He agreed and told me the jackets would be available for pickup the next day. I received a call the next day, Wednesday, July 15th that my order had arrived and is ready for pickup. I returned to the store Monday, July 20th where the manager accepted my ticket, hung my jackets on the rack for me to take, and began what looked to be the steps of issuing a store credit. During that time, I instantly noticed the jacket "not dry cleaned" was in fact damaged due to significant bleeding red ink from the patches onto the white fabric. I immediately pointed this out to the manager, who quickly became defensive almost to the point of gaslighting me that I should have expected it. To be clear: I was asked directly if I wanted to assume the risk of damage and dry cleaning it after they identified the jacket as a risk. I told them clearly "no" and now I can't help but wonder if they had already damaged the item and had hoped I would have said "yes" to free them of responsibility. But I will never know for sure. I was told "We don't know it's going to do that until we do it." So is it then my mistake that I trusted their expertise to know EXACTLY that? In fact, that would seem to me to be the point of the hesitation expressed in the earlier phone call. His tone was stern, defensive, and at times aggressive or belittling. I feel confidently that he had no intention of discussing the damaged item with me had I not forced the conversation, and he would have been more than content for me to walk right out his door unknowingly. I do not own a business, but I've been a patron to many in 30+ years. I would not have returned either way but wouldn't have taken the time to write this review had any consideration to me as a customer been given. A recommendation? How about a phone call when you noticed the damage, "Hello sir. We've received your jackets back and I'm very sorry to inform you that one of the jackets was damaged in the process. While these things rarely happen, you trusted us with your valuables and we at Saber take that responsibility very seriously. Please come in so that we can look over the jacket together and come to an agreement on how we can make this right. Your business is important to us." Instead, I was met with rudeness and indifference. Saber provided a cash refund of $27 for the dry cleaning, and that's it. Sadly, the damaged item is vintage and not easily or cheaply replaceable. Two of the other three jackets appear fine, including the hole in the pocket. A third, however, wasn't cleaned to satisfaction (will share picture). I immediately took the damaged jacket next door to Jones Dry Cleaning to see if it was fixable but was unfortunately told no. There are many, many dry cleaners in the Charlotte area. I encourage any curious reader to strongly consider them over Saber.

I bought my silk dress in & the guys says they can take off the 5 inches I request off. He also tells me that they will call me when it's ready and I can only pay in cash for alterations. So a week and a half goes by and I call oNe price and the man is like oh yea it's ready for pick up, and I'm like ughhh well no one called me. But it's fine I pick up and paid $18 in cash and had to ask for a plastic cover the guy at counter stated it's not provided for alterations only‍. Well I needed one so he provided one, this place is near my home and I would definitely go back as needed.

I've been coming to this location consistently for some time to have my mom's dry cleaning done…read more.. and mine done very seldom! I have noted under the new management, the price has increased twice! The lastest increase occurred during the current COVID pandemic! When I inquired about this increase, the owner stated it was because they changed off-site dry cleaning plants and the new one was more expensive! I also noticed on my receipt that they pass on their service fee when using your credit card with their Clover POS system! When I inquired about the service fee, the owner stated it was always there, even under previous management! I disagreed and told him I had reviewed prior receipts once I saw it on my most recent receipt! He claimed that it was baked into a higher tax at 9% vs 7.25%... Is that even legal? When I reviewed my old receipts again, there was no such upcharge in sales tax! During the visit, and while bringing this to his attention, he was quite defensive and told me that my questioning and tone was out of order! I informed him that as a customer, I had every right to question that for which I was being charged! And further, why is he not making his customers aware that this fee is being included on their bill? He stated, "it's on there, right in from of your face!" And when I asked why prices are not posted in clear view for customers to see BEFORE he rings in the items to be dry cleaned? He stated "it's here (over the cash register pointing in the opposite direction) behind the counter!" Again, he was quite upset by my line of questioning, and stated he wished to refuse me service of my mom's items because of my tone of voice, and accused me of yelling at him and complaining! False! I explained to him that I don't believe it was my tone of voice that was at issue, but instead it was my line of questioning and my reaction to his in substantial, illogical responses and his "superb" customer service! Such business practices were never an issue under prior management! One price meant just that... one price! Any cost and fee for additional services rendered was posted and clearly communicated BEFORE you were charged! I have since contacted and made inquiries regarding the same with the BBB!

This is the most reasonable for the price and size of the bag. This is also the first one that offers same day pick and drop off. Now, the part that ABSOLUTELY blew me away is that this is the first time my clothes came back smelling like laundry and not like they were cleaned to be sterile, AND they were organized within the laundry bag! I am in love! They even sent a nice welcome gift!

I am semi-disabled and folding laundry can cause me a lot of pain, so I started researching laundry…read moreservices in Charlotte. I evaluated several different companies but decided to give S-n-H Superior Laundry a try because I felt their flat-rate prices were the most competitive. I also liked that I didn't have to subscribe or commit to weekly service since I don't always need to wash clothes every week. Although they do offer repeat service if you want your clothes laundered on a schedule. I was able to quickly sign up and I was pleased to discover that they use the same detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets that I do. They even offer scent beads, color boosters, stain remover, and starch at no extra charge, also the same brands and fragrances that I use at home. My clothes were picked up the very next day with no fuss. Since this was my first instance using S-n-H I sent my clothes in a large, black garbage bag. I just left them on the porch and the driver retrieved them there. No doorbell ringing, or awkward handoffs. For those who may be wondering, they do offer same day service, but I didn't need mine that quickly. When I got my clothes back today, I was THRILLED with the results! They returned in a HUGE sturdy, re-usable bag with a large shoulder strap to make it easy to carry. This was the large size bag ($35) and you can fit a LOT into it, which makes it well worth the price. The clothes were neatly folded with no wrinkles. They wrapped each bundle in plastic to keep the clothes from unfolding or getting mixed up during transit. They even separated my clothes from my son's and put the towels/wash cloths in their own bundle, which will make putting them away that much easier. I felt that this step in particular went above and beyond, like they were thinking about the customer every step of the way. The clothes smelled amazing; just like they do when I pull them from the dryer here, only I didn't have to do any of the work I normally do. If you're looking to save time, or in my case pain, from having to do laundry at home, I highly recommend S-n-H! Their flat fee of $25 for small bags or $35 for large ones is more than competitive. Some specialty household items, like bedding, are charged separately, but those prices are also fair. And they don't measure by weight so you're not left guessing how much each load will cost. They use all the name-brand laundry products you'll find in the stores, and I really feel like they go the extra mile for their customers. If I could give them more than five stars, I would.
