Let me start by saying that I do not think that the experience that I had reflects all of the T-bones and CJ locations. With that said my last experience with T-bones Derry takeout was horrendous. I had ordered two separate meals so I could take one to work the next day for lunch and both of the meals were botched. First the fajita chicken roll up I received was served with raw chicken that you can see in the photo. The second meal was the fajita chicken pasta. The pasta is supposed to be served with blackened chicken and not only did it seem like a half portion of pasta but the chicken was missing entirely. The wait was 60 minutes for these meals plus two others that was eaten by my family members that reported that theirs seemed fine. Total cost for these were about $90 with tip. I did write an email about these issues and have yet to receive a response. read more

Wow superb service. I am highly allergic to seafood and I mentioned this to the waitress,Suzie. She sent the manager over and he was so accommodating. Rich, the manager, discussed my options and that his the kitchen would make the order away from the seafood. The food came and it was delicious. And the chef had made the French fries in the oven.... and i had said no need for anything special someone else can eat them that i was the with. But that was not good enough for this restaurant. Just tried this place tonight. I ordered the jalapeño burger on a pretzel roll with fried onions with fried jalepenos. Wife ordered the MAF burger - enjoyed it. Son ordered the sirloin but he said it lacked flavor and seasoning. My burger was awesome, wife liked hers. The most expensive dinner of the three, the sirloin, was the worst. We had an excellent experience today t T-Bones, which could have been much worse if not for our great server and the dining room manager. We love the burgers here, even if a bit pricey. Today sadly both of our burgers were cooked to death. We otherwise had an enjoyable lunch sitting on the T-Bones deck area. Our server noticed that we were not obviously enjoying our food. She asked if we wanted two more burgers, but we advised her that we did not have time to wait for them. She apologized and stated that she would inform the kitchen and her dining room manager. The manager soon came out and apologized and gave us gift cards for our next visit. Overall, a potentially bad situation was handled incredibly well. Great job. read more

Absolutely do not order takeout from here. Nothing but bad times. Missing items long waits etc. not sure why I keep trying but did again tonight. Had to write about this one. Placed order online pickup time set to 5:35pm and paid online. I got there at 5:38pm, hostess gave me the receipt to sign, looked at the 1 bag on the counter next to her and told me it wasn't ready yet. While waiting, another bag came out. She looked and said not me. After standing there for another 15 minutes an older lady asked if I was all set. Told her I was waiting for takeout and asked my name. Guess what....the bag that was there when I walked in the door was mine! Needless to say my ice cream for apple crisp was soup. My burger cold. Fries ice cold and gross. T-Bones Derry location- I would give them a zero if I could. Everytime we go in there( the bar area) we are ignored for a long time before getting a drink order taken, the attitude is we are bothering them. Last Thursday we waited a good 10 minutes before a server asked what we would like to drink.. I got my drink fairly quick draft beer, my husband ordered a bottled beer and it took another near 10 minutes to get it from the little fridge right in the bar area. No offer of popcorn ever while others are provided it without even asking. We finished our drinks and in all this time no one asked if we wanted to order from the menus in front of us, they did not even make eye contact. Finally we flagged one of them down to ask for the check, and she acted so surprised we were not ordering food??? I said not now. Took forever to run our bill, we were ready to leave and they rushed over so worried "Hey!" we said we didn;t think you wanted our money either{the bill was $10) "Well we only have one of these things" he said., We said you should get more then. We paid the bill and left never to be seen there again. Too bad it is close to home but we won't be back, too many times treated so rudely, Done with them. read more

I would give this location a full 5. We have landed here for a late lunch and a very early dinner. Decided to stay outside, as the weather was amazing and the outdoor patio was extremely inviting, between the plants and the little touches that ornate the area. We have ordered the house special burger on french bread along with a burrito, that comes with dirty rice and refried beans ... Well, neither one disappointed us. The size was quite large, the flavor was delicious and the server, Mark was outstanding. I would definitely recommend the place. I had forgotten how good T Bones was or maybe options have changed in ...20 years. The food has been great. The service just as good. We went with friends, one of whom was served a steak that was over cooked. The wait staff (waitress, manager, etc) apologized, took it right back, offered something quick while he waited, and then brought back a perfectly cooked steak. They even have him a gift card for the next visit as an apology. Can't ask for more. read more

Today my boyfriend and I decided we wanted to try a new restaurant, as we are new to Derry and have not been able to explore much yet. We had driven by TBones and it was always busy so we figured it might be a local spot. I cannot say enough good things about our experience tonight: the waitress was kind and attentive despite the restaurant being quite busy, the food was delicious and big portions, and the manager even took the time to welcome us after we had finished our meal and introduced herself. We will definitely be back and I will definitely bring my friends from CT and MA here when they come up to visit. read more

Take out here sucks the up most. They made me wait for my food, they forgot my meal which was the teriyaki grill combo. 2 Tuscan haddock linguine came out cold, not even room temp, called to inform the manager of the screw up, the customer service was the worst, I wouldn't recommend the take out from here, they don't check anything and for the price you pay not worth it rather go somewhere else like the 99, at least they check the bag. Literally had the rudest bartender experience tonight at Tbones Derry. I went back for some takeout after the past couple of experiences not being so favorable...basically if you're not a steadfast regular here you don't get the same level of service at the bar. It was the most entitled and nasty woman I have encountered who should not be in the hospitality business. And I spent 20 years behind a bar...find another place to talk about your personal life and your very recent Covid experience. Let me start out by saying. We have all been friends since middle school. We giggle and make jokes and are very ourselves when we are around eachother. One of our friends was a little drunk because she didn't nap but was harmless. all other 7 of us were 1 drink in that we got from the bar of the restaurant. The food was fine not going to lie i have had better. The staff/service not so much. We had a party of 8 we were waiting on the other car to get there we let them know that. They said wait at the bar and let us know when the other people get here. So we told them our whole party was there. 20 mins later (not exaggerating) still just talking at the bar they asked us if our party was there yet. We were like yes we told you that? We finally get to our table. Service was SLOW. We were waiting and i was thirsty so i went back up to the bar to see if i could just get a drink there and pay there because there is no-one around and only 3 other tables..... The bartender told me no. I asked what do you mean no?? She said I have to buy the drink from the table. I asked ok.. what if i wasn't with the table and just walked in? Like i JUST did when i was waiting for a table?? She said i Dont know.. lol okay i go sit back down at the table informing my group of what they just said I had ONE mojito). Then an older woman comes over and asks if our group if we driving. (We ubered) then she asks how many we have had. Didn't want to serve 30-35 yr olds after one drink. We weren't being disrespectful even after waiting forever for a table in an empty restaurant, having slow service. I get we are a happy giggly uppity group but we have respect we were not some out if control group like they were treating us. we will NEVER go back. The vibe was negative and so were the workers. We aren't some scumbags that wouldnt still leave a good tip after the rude crappy slow service either. Place is full of Karens. Smile. Be Happy. Want to pay city prices for suburban food? Look no further! Ok, maybe I'm being a bit harsh - the food at T-Bones is decent quality, comparable to chain steakhouses like Longhorn or Outback. The portions are ample, things are usually prepared as I requested them, and the servers are personable enough. For prices that are a tad high for the area, this place sure brings in a lot of riff-raff... a lot of the people in here look like guys who get in fistfights over parking spaces and women who smoke while pregnant. The town's other big family restaurant - Derry Restaurant & Pizza - never seems to have this problem. The building they're situated in has served many purposes over the years - when my parents moved to town it was a supermarket, when I was very young there was a pediatrician's office in the back, and while growing up in Derry it had several names as a Friendlys-esque ice cream & diner food type restaurant. With the closure of the Depot Steakhouse, T-Bones is probably once again the place to go for a big hunka red meat in the Derry area. It has its drawbacks, but it's a decent place to eat. read more

This steakhouse / sports bar is a great place to kick back, get some great drinks and a bite to eat. Their dining room is huge and the bar area seats quite a few as well. The staff are really friendly and always good and even when it looks chaotic, stay attentive to their stations. You'll often see waitstaff helping each other out, which I think is a sign of happy staff. Between their Prime Rib, (limited quantities!), and their special T-Bone, I can't say I've tried much else. No need to. The pre-meal brown bread is SO good, but don't down too much or you'll be full by the time the entree hits. The French Onion soup is a great appetizer! And I agree with the other reviewer on the scallops wrapped in bacon with just a drizzle of maple syrup. Booyah! But the Prime Rib or the T-Bone are fine choices. Always cooked superbly and to the way you want it cooked. The Baked potato and vegetable are pretty good too. If you're a fan of a nice Grey Goose Martini's Straight Up and Dirty with some crazy good Roland Olives, be sure to grab one or four here! read more

Meh, I have experienced better, at T-Bones even. But today I felt like I was punished for ordering my steak well-done. It was at least 45 minutes to be served. The waitress came by after 40 minutes and asked if I wanted another beer, "sure" I said. Then she says your order will be out soon, it takes longer because you wanted it well-done. I said "well-done" doesn't take this long. She goes into check viola, our food is done. Oh my steak was well-done alright... There are cooks & chefs in America that know how to cook a well-done steak, they might be appalled at the idea, but they still know how to cook it correctly, hint: don't leave it on the cook top for 30+ minutes. We managed to get in to eat dinner before the mad rush on a Friday night. I don't know if it was on purpose, but they kindly (for the sake of other diners) sat us next to another family with a small child. Ours can be really fidgety and I didn't feel so bad when their kid started screeching. Our server was super friendly and accommodating. I wanted a crispy chicken salad but with a few substitutions and that was no problem. The salad itself was typical, the fried cornflake breaded chicken was really good, and the honey mustard dressing was good. My dad ordered the Fisherman's platter which he gets everywhere he goes. He loved it and said it was much better than a nearby seafood restaurant. Hubby got teriyaki steak tips and he was pleasantly surprised when the server told him he could order them as rare as he liked (which is basically still mooing). The roast turkey kids meal was impressive (and really good) for the price, and we got at least three meals out of it. Great, friendly service, good food, and you can't beat the loyalty card deal! Having only been to the T-Bones in Salem one time, several years ago, we didn't get a great impression. The food was just eh, and actually kind of greasy. It wasn't any different or better than Chiles, 99, or any other restaurant on that par, however, the Derry location changed our opinion. After a movie, we were looking for a place that was open later to enjoy a drink and dessert. We Yelped local places, and to our surprise, T-Bones came up. Not ones to hold grudges, we decided to try. The bar and one part of the restaurant were busy, but we were seated in a quieter area, which was nice so that we could chat. Guess it was a little too quiet, because about 15 minutes later, the hostess came up to apologize and let us know she had forgotten to tell our waitress she had customers. Luckily we were in no hurry. When she asked if we wanted menus, and we told her we were just getting drinks and desserts, she seemed barely noticeably annoyed, presumably by her impending smaller tip. We ordered our drinks. My husband had the creme brûlée martini, which was quite tasty. My fairy dust cocktail was just okay. The desserts stole the show!! I got carrot cake. It was rich, incredibly moist, and full of texture with raisins and shredded carrots. The cream cheese topping was the perfect amount of sweet to compliment the cake. My husband got made-to-order apple crisp. He loves apple desserts and declared this to be one of the best he's ever had. It came out hot, fresh, and a nice blend of apples and oats. It came with vanilla ice cream with a nice caramel drizzle. I would given a three for service, bartending, and atmosphere, and a five star rating for the desserts. I averaged the two and decided that the current average four-star rating seemed pretty accurate based on our experience. We would come back some day to try dinner. read more

This place is just strait up sketchy. First time I came here they overcharged me and they knew that they did it. They messed up all of our orders too and they were mean. I tried it out again to see if it was a hoax and it was. The lady was super mean and they messed up all my orders' again. She overcharged me again and she knew that she did it. I checked the bill again and they overcharged me for a different meal after I told her about the first overcharged item. They also wouldn't allow me to use my coupon that was still valid. The food was terrible and over priced. I don't recommend at all and if you do go there check your bill to see if you got overcharged. If there was a zero star I would have rated it that.
