I love a hidden, ticked away, unassuming gem. The intimate setting was beyond unique as you could watch the chef work his magic right from your table. Each dish was beyond creative and left your tastebuds wondering how the next bite could top the last, but it always did. The service was outstanding.

Sat this close to the kitchen.

This is an outstanding place. Small but mighty in food and service in a very intimate setting. Everything was top notch and tasted fantastic!

What a beautiful evening with a master of detail Chef Michael Fuller. The scallops and Wagyu beef dishes were delicious and flawless. Thank you for making a great birthday dinner memorable. We will be back.

This place is one of those places you need to experience at least once. Michael prepares each meal to order with only the freshest ingredients. The limited seating makes for a very intimate dining experience.

When you arrive at TJ's don't drive away. The food is amazing and the interior is nicely decorated.

Kipling's Tavern sits right near the town center, with a multi-level parking garage directly behind…read moreit, which makes getting there pretty convenient. The space itself is small, so I'd definitely suggest calling ahead to see if they have room. There's basically no indoor waiting area, and standing by the door or outside in the winter, like we did, got uncomfortable enough that we almost left for another place, even though the wait was only about 20 minutes. Our server was friendly and tried to stay on top of things, but you could tell she was a bit overwhelmed with how busy it was and the constant flow of people coming through the door. In our group, a couple of the burgers came out very undercooked, with blood pooling on the plate. No one had been asked how they wanted their burger cooked and it wasn't mentioned when we ordered, so it was an unpleasant surprise even if it wasn't exactly anyone's "fault." I ordered the spicy Korean fried chicken sandwich, which ended up being just okay. The bottom of the bun was soggy, so it fell apart and was hard to pick up and eat. The kimchi on the sandwich didn't bring much flavor or heat, so it kind of missed the mark for something that's supposed to be a bold, spicy option.

This is our second time here. Tiny place (8 tables + bar)…read more Food: 5/5 we got the French onion grilled cheese and spicy Korean chicken sandwich which were both incredible. The beignets were the star of the show!! Plus the burgers are great too Service: 5/5 spot on and extremely efficient. To the point where we noticed that there's not one slacker on the staff, they work together and meet the needs of every customer. Exceptional! Vibe: 5/5 we love a good bar food, low frills place. It's homey and fun without being over the top. Overall would come back every time we're in Brattleboro

Interesting little venue. Went up to Brattleboro to spend a day with my boyfriend and when we drove…read moredown the street, came across this place and opted to try it. Very dated on the inside but I think that's supposed to be part of it's "charm". We were one of maybe four parties (all less than 3 people in each) and the server, who was a semi-nice older woman, seemed SO lost and overwhelmed for the place not being busy. Very frazzled and it took a while to get drink refills and the additional sauce we had originally ordered with our meal. The menu isn't vast, so don't go in expecting to try something new. We opted for the Vermont burger, and the Double Smash burger. They were....eh. Nothing to write home about. Being known for their fresh ingredients (according to google) I would have to disagree. Everything seemed pretty standard..frozen fries/frozen patties etc. Maybe I am wrong but that's how it had tasted.

Kind of creepy. 5:30 pm on a Saturday and we were two of six people in the place. Musty and…read moredated bar area with a nice fireplace (which I think provided the only heat in the place). Food was edible but not great. Server was very nice and attentive. "Out" of all diet soda (Coke company didn't deliver (possibly due to outstanding debt? Just speculation on my part but seems fishy). Menu on line is not the dated menu we were offered. Not worth the stop.
