One of the best dinner's I've ever had. As a foodie I'm extremely particular and have impeccably high standards. I know food. I know great ingredients. I know ambience. Oh I really do. T-Michael's did not disapoint on any level. To start with I'd like to give a shout out to our waiter Will. As it is want to do, service can make or break a meal. Will helped to elevate our experience. We started with the lobster cocktail which came uncracked in the shell. Fun presentation. We also had the shrimp cocktail which were the best shrimp we had on our trip. Also a quick aside, they don't charge for bread here. You actually get it complimentary unlike Trulucks and Clawbar. Free bread, what a novel concept! For our dinner we both had the 10 ounce filet mignon. Both prepared perfectly. In addition to the on point food, what you also get here is an incredible view of the valencia bay. If you can get a table along the window row you will thank me later. The restaurant was quite busy at 5p on Sunday. Evidentially others like it more than we did. Three menus were available but it wasn't clear which one to ask for. Service was ordinary--nothing bad but nothing great. Food was not good. The tomatoes in the caprice salad were so hard they had to be cut with knife and fork. As a special treat for my grandmother on Christmas, my brother and I decided to treat her and the rest of our family to T-Michaels. It's super well rated on OpenTable and Yelp so we figured that it was worth a shot. It was awful... 1. The management crammed so many people into its dining room on Christmas that I'm surprised that they weren't violating the fire code. Given the current state of things with COVID, we started referring to it as the 'superspreader event'. I literally could have reached over to the next table and borrowed their salt, that's how crammed in we were. Even worse, my grandmother, who is in a wheelchair, could barely get through the dining room but not without multiple tables being moved. 2. Despite getting a confirmation text that our table was waiting for us, we still waited 30 mins for our table. The hostess was incredibly rude about it. 3. The price for the food from the regular menu was increased by 15-20% for the same exact food on the Christmas menu. I also get that there are rising food costs and that it's not inexpensive for staffing help on the holidays but I can't excuse the fact that the food sucked. I ordered the seafood trio, which arrived scattered haphazardly on the plate. As a result, everything tasted like shrimp scampi, which kind of defeats the purpose of plate, and the lobster was incredibly tough. 4. The teenage hostess was incredibly rude and actually pushed my grandmother out of her way because she was in a rush on our way out. This just highlights the importance of hiring qualified front of the restaurant staff. The one saving grace of this restaurant was the server, Kelly, who was lovely and kept the meal moving. Management was also kind enough to Comp a round of drinks for the extended wait time but that honestly doesn't compensate for what was a C- dinner that cost more than $600 (including tip) for five people. read more

Sadly this restaurant has been terrible 3 straight times. We have given it 3 chances and each time the food is not good quality that is expected for that price point, the service was terrible because the server was not able to clearly explain how the lobster would be served. She stated it would NOT be cracked, so we decided not to order it and then our friend who did order a lobster, received a lobster that was not only cracked at the claws but the tail was open for easy eating!!! We brought this to her attention and she tried to talk her way out of it. I ordered the Caesar salad which was limp and brown and not edible. The crab cake was loaded down with a cream topping that made the taste no good. The dining area was quite loud so it was hard to talk to our friends. When leaving, we informed the manager of all that happened and he was not interested at all. He tried to defend the server who has been there "quite a while" so we will never go back. During covid they have been absolutely exceptional and created a space outside for those who need a little more comfort. Like my family that came into town 2. T. Michaels always offers excellent food with creative, delicious presentations. For Thanksgiving Dinner they add a ham or turkey dinner with all the traditional fixings. Our group of six ladies of a certain age knew we'd have a delicious meal, but our server, Kelly, turned it into a delightful dining experience. Well-versed in all the menu offerings, Kelly graciously offered information about the selections. She was witty and welcoming and an absolute joy - always with a broad smile. The four of us here for dinner. We love this place. My only complaint months ago was the Thanksgiving dinners but have had lunch and dinners here and thoroughly enjoyed it as we did from our server KELLIE who was extremely helpful with the menu, very professional, personable and funny. She was great. My 10 oz. Filet Mignon was outstanding! I normally wouldn't spend $54 on the steak because I added the extras, Bernaise sauce, the side of Boursin mashed potato's which was a huge bowlful and we finished that easily. Soo good and a French Onion soup....but I'm glad I did. Great steak!! Will do it again another time. My wife had under SALADS; the Filet Medallions over a Wedge Salad and was again cooked to perfection and was great. Her fave. My friends ordered the Local Black Grouper and what I don't understand was one was cooked to perfection and the other was rubbery, not flaky the way she likes it and she didn't say anything this time. Told us after she had it. She was too hungry and didn't want to wait. And for that price we wish she had. Her husband's was the best he had, he said. So that was a bummer. But I know how hard it is at times to not say anything. For dessert I was the only one do I ordered the chocolate lava cake with ice cream. Came with "four spoons". LOL. Solid recommendations as well. You could feel their efforts. Food Value: 5/5 For a nice restaurant I was shocked how generous they were with their portions. They do not skimp out at all. Ended up being too citrusy in concert with how much lemon came with the dishes. 4/5 Appetizers: Shrimp - 4 pieces of huge and fresh shrimp caught in key west. Very crispy and the sauce wasn't overwhelming. 5/5 Chilled Lobster - incredible value. For $22 you get an entire lobster. 5/5 Entrée: Beef Wellington - unfortunately this did not hit the mark. The tenderloin was cooked perfectly and the flavor was great but the puff pastry was nearly raw. At some points it felt difficult to stomach so I cut out the soggy pastry to enjoy it. Its a bold task to make beef wellington so I don't blame them but of they're going to do it hopefully they can get it right. Tonight they did not. 3/5 Seafood Trio: An excellent dish. The shrimp was delicious. Flavorful and juicy. The scallops were great too. Cooked very well, however it would do well if it had a better sear on it. The lobster tail felt a bit gritty which took away from the overall dish. 4.5/5 Shrimp Risotto: This is one of the few times you'll hear me say that there is too much meat. The shrimp was abounding but overwhelming. It took away from the texture of a good risotto. But I can't complain too much. Too much shrimp beats too few. 4/5 Fisherman's Stew: Talk about value. Wow. They serve the entire ocean. The seafood was cooked beautifully but it was a tad bit salty. Overall a great dish. 4/5 Dessert: Chocolate Lava Cake: Absolutely delicious. Steaming, moist and so chocolatey. 5/5 Key Lime Pie: Delicious. I'm not typically a fan but their key lime pie was a good balance of tart and sweet and the texture was firm but still soft. Sort of like cheese cake. This has been my favorite key lime pie in Florida. 5/5 Overall this restaurant will give you a great experience. If you only care about excellent food this may not hit the mark but if you want a great dinner experience with ambiance, service and good food this is perfect. read more

I wanted to like this place, I did... but, I think going on a holiday (Father's Day), didn't allow me to have the full experience of what this place has to offer. They had a limited menu so the options weren't the best but the service we received was phenomenal. I also do think this place is extremely overpriced but it may just be the Naples area and the view that you're paying for. Our food was lukewarm, and my lamb was undercooked. First time dining at T-Michaels and everything was delicious! The only thing my husband was not happy with was the Lobster Bisque. It was more like a watered down soup. I ordered the Alaskan King Crab Legs as an appetizer and they were delicious. My entree was a Beef Wellington cooked medium well and it was cooked perfectly! So delicious! My husband ordered a Rib Eye and also cooked perfectly. We also ordered the Shrimp Risotto and again delicious!! The staff was also very attentive. We will definitely be back! We normally enjoy this restaurant, but usually sit in the bar area. We had adult kids in town so made a reservation for 6 of us at 8:00. After a 20 minute wait and no one even looking at our direction to give us an update, we asked for a status. We were seated by 8:30 and they did bring a free appetizer to the table. What we didn't know was that there was a "curtain" right beside us and less then 3 feet away on the other side of that curtain was a wedding (not just a reception, the entire wedding). They were very loud and having a great time (as they should). Why would a wedding be held in an area in a restaurant that is just a "curtain" area of the dining room! They brought our meals and one meal was not even the correct order so they left the incorrect meal so that he could "eat" something while they made a new meal. They did charge for the incorrect meal. I dined here this evening for the first time. They run many radio ad's and a friend recommended it. I wish I could give 5 stars as the food is outstanding as well as the beautiful setting overlooking the water. It's the type of place that a couple with a cocktail will spend over $100.00 per person plus gratuity. We both dined on a wonderful lobster tail and filet. Both were cooked to perfection. Our server was attentive in all ways. The part that concerned me was since we ordered 2 expensive entrees including sharing one dessert we thought it best that we share a Caesar salad. The waiter said that the kitchen wouldn't do that. I've experienced that in the past but in a fine place the waiter usually splits it at the table. Instead I was left to split the salad with my companion myself. I would expect that at franchise restaurant but a steak house where dinner for two exceeded $300.00 with gratuities the service lacked. The food was great, pricey but I think you need to be more aggressive with your server and ask them to do their job. It really caught me by surprise as I visit fine steak restaurants and I've never experienced this. read more

What a disappointment. We came today for Mother's Day because my Mom was thrilled with the menu marketed on their Facebook page. Based on the communication there, we booked the earlier seating 11-2p. Upon arrival, we were surprised to learn they were not offering the mothers days menu, but a more minimal brunch menu instead. The quality of our food was, meh, at best. I honestly could have made a better quality brunch at home. For the price, this was quite the disappointment. After sitting down. No waitress for 15 mins. Then we finally we approached by a young girl to take our order. Enough just wanted check .manager came over told him how bad it was. Owner came over and offered $25.00 gift card to come back. Hubby said no way. Paid over $300.00 bill. And then the topper. We went there on a Thursday night and it was popping! Pretty cool place, they have different seating areas from overlooking the lake to a cool inside/outdoor Italian setting. Our waitress was really awesome and the service was prompt and great! The food was good but could have used more seasoning from the sauces to the actual food. The bisque had good flavors but too soupy and not a lot of chunks. The oysters were frozen. The prices are reasonable for what you get. read more

This is one of our go-to restaurants. The service is great. Nice wine-by-the-glass choices. Last night I went with one of the specials, a 10oz NY Strip with roasted potatoes, baby green beans & 3 large shrimp (I subbed the shrimp bc I don't like scallops, my grandson loved his scallops!). We opted, for the first time, to eat outside. Tables were comfortably distanced under the tent 'shed' as well as the high tops out in the open. T Michaels Steak and Lobster House is rated as a 5 star restaurant. It seemed like it was an upscale dining restaurant according to variety of selection on their menu and pricing. One would expect an excellent customer service and a dining experience top service. Giving this review two stars ONLY BECAUSE the meal was excellent including our friendly waitress who made a big difference in our overall experience otherwise it would have been a one star review. The "food" indeed was prepared excellently. Here is our story. We have reserved a table for 4 at 8pm on 3/18/2023, after standard dining hours. Arrived 20 minutes before our reservation, nobody was there to valet our car. Went to a place next door and two gentlemen jumped out immediately to assist us. They unfortunately do not valet for T Michaels. We turned around to try to find "our guy". We found him. He said to "park the car ourselves he has no spots". He seemed rude, irritated, and looked like he had better days. Immediate turn off. The hosts: no smile, no welcome to T Michaels. But the show stole Michaela. A petite little girl, brunette, with attitude of a 12 year old trailer trash, dressed in show girl outfit from a cheap strip club. Im sure her and her con hosts roll their eyes behind customers backs. Extremely inattentive and could care less about image of the restaurant. It seemed like they were irritated and bothered that someone actually came to dine. Notified hosts at 7:50 that our reservation is at 8pm, was told we'll call you "about that time" and told us "just wait". Somewhere. No further instructions. Just barked "about that time" and wait. Didn't want to make a scene by encounter #2 with staff this time, so we stepped outside (unknowingly where and how to proceed). The attire of Hosts!!! Not very good. One girl had an over shoulder red dress. Another girl had all black top w pants, and then there was Michaela our young starlet, with skin revealing un-tasteful clothing showing her stomach back and shoulders. Why wear it at all just wear a bra and go to work! At this point Im not sure whats going on with the management. But ok, moving on. past 8pm (exactly 8:05) decided to check on our reservations for 8. Michaela sees me and not even quietly tells her co host "oh yeah that one!" I knew THEY ALREADY FORGOTTEN about us. Actually this time I decided to give Michaela a little pressure to fix the situation and make it up for her previous attitude. I approached her and said "yes hi it already 8:04 and was wondering" ... she interrupted "table is not ready" I said "ok do you need my reservation number in case you cant find my name?" She looked me and very aggressively responded "for what? I ALREADY TOLD YOU the table is not ready, we are cleaning it right now". My mouth dropped open. WOW. Should I call manager right now or request to see the owner? And who hires these rude little girls to represent restaurant such as this. At this point my thoughts were if i spend $400-$500 to get greeting with attitude such as Michaela gave us is it even worth dining there? So we were ready to leave. At this moment I got a text msg notifying our table is ready. everyone was hungry. It was probably 8:15 when I hesitated to inquire about our table. The third host seemed very stressed, she lead us to our table. our waitress was very nice, friendly. Thank God she changed our whole experience to better. She wasn't super annoying coming to our table every two minutes but I saw her checking out our table constantly to make sure we had everything. She took our order, made a small talk about our kids, did go over the special of the night, and offered us drinks menu. Now thats what I call an amazing waitress. She was invisible allowing us to have our time at the same time she was always there with items we needed before we even had to look for her. Excellent service for the waitress. Unfortunately I didn't get her name as I was still upset digesting our star of the show Michaela! I ordered chilean sea bass, the rest of the family ordered fillet mignon 10oz. My sea bass was prepared to its perfection just like Ive had it before, and according to my family their fillets were done medium rare and another medium just as we requested. Hoorays to the chefs who prepared our meal! But Michaela! Still cannot get over the fact that SOMEONE actually hired that girl who has no clue or even understanding of customer service not to mention her attire and attitude! I even asked my husband if she is the owner's daughter, relative or "friend" to have her work with this attitude at a restaurant such as T Michaels Steak and Lobster House! T Michaels is not some diner on the hwy! It was rated 5 stars thats why we chose to dine that night at T Michaels! Probably will not recommend this place to my friends for this reason. Reserved a table at T-Micheals for New Years dinner months in advance for our Naples family holiday trip. Upon arrival at the restaurant, there was 15+ people waiting outdoors, this I knew was not a good sign. When I walked inside the restaurant there was a crowd of people swarming the host stand. Everyone looked hangry and stressed. People were yelling at the host that they have not been sat yet and their reservation was an hour ago. After waiting 15 mins to check in with the host, I realized their reservations were all written on paper. It did not seem like they had any system because people were getting skipped left and right and they were accommodating larger groups first and the smaller 2-4 tops would have to wait 45+ mins to get sat. The entire outdoor patio was reserved for a wedding party. Why on earth would a restaurant book half their tables for a wedding party on a day like New Years? It seemed like they took any reservation that called in and overbooked. My family waited over an hour to get seated, we couldn't leave because restaurants everywhere were booked up for the evening. Once we sat down, there was almost no room to walk. It was beyond packed. The service was almost nonexistent. Every staff member was running around, and looked overwhelmed. The food review: Shrimp cocktail - Excellent, large shrimp with lots of meat. Very fresh Lobster and steak - Steak was undercooked and cold. Lobster had lots of meat and was prepared well. Seafood trio - Served cold. Nothing outstanding, but a good value for similar priced restaurants. Asparagus - Boiled asparagus was served. No salt, no butter, no flavor. Boring Mushrooms - Great pairing for dinner Overall, for the price that we paid the food should not of been cold. Very little flavor. We made a reservation on Wednesday night. It was a busy night. We got seated after 5 mins of our reservation. Right when we sat down our waiter got us water and then we also received a complimentary fried shrimp dish to try. It was delicious! We enjoyed a drink and yes, they were strong and worth it. I ordered oysters by the shell. They tasted fresh and they were prepared well. The seared scallops I highly recommend(appetizer) I had this as my meal. It was cooked so well and I enjoyed it very much. My friend ordered the seafood trio. It came with a lobster, 2 scallops and 3 shrimp prawns. We had a great night.
