iPhone Online Order Pickup Review…read more Through my work business account, I upgraded to the latest new iPhone using the online portal. The trade-in option was the best value for me. I chose the Altamonte store due to its close proximity to my workplace. When I arrived late morning, two employees were engaged with customers, but one said to me, "we will be right with you." Outside of that interaction, I found no instructions or sign-in kiosk. After about 5-10 minutes, I walked to the back of the store and spoke with a manager to find out their store's process for assisting customers. The manager professionally engaged with me and placed me next in queue. Once Kenya, one of the employees, assisted me with the process of confirming my order, and finalizing the process, I left with my shiny new phone. The lack of signage or anyone up front to direct traffic can take time to navigate, but one the service associate became available to assist, the service was very good.

While speaking a man with roller shoes "skated" over. Not very pleasant, more like cocky. He said he was a manager and his name was Tom. I made it clear I did not want to change my plan. I WAS grandfathered into the military one plan and Tom told me since I was grandfathered into the plan it wouldn't change. He also told me I'd get Apple TV for as long as I had a plan with T-Mobile, which I later found out was another lie. Tom told me it would take a while to transfer my items from my old phone to the new one if I wanted to walk around the mall. I left Tom with my phone, phone case and screen protector. When I came to pick up the phone, I asked where my screen protector was. Tom told me he threw it away because it wouldn't fit my phone and was broken. I've had that Zagg screen protector which cost me $60 for 2 years and while it had scratches it still protected my phone screen which was in perfect condition. I was saving it to put on another one of my phones. I saw Madeline go up to him, I'm assuming to talk to him about it, but I heard him say "NO". So I'm out a 60 screen protector which has a lifetime warranty because of a bad decision Tom made. So I get my bill and see my plan charge went from $55 a month to $75, and no this does not include my new phone which is on a separate line under equipment charges. So Tom changed my plan WITHOUT my permission and threw away my lifetime screen protector. I called T-Mobile after realizing this and to say the two representatives I spoke with were appalled that a manager would change my plan without permission is an understatement. The representatives were both so kind and fixed the situation for me. I HIGHLY suggest not going to this store unless you want to get scammed.

I was assured by that rep the only way to restore Internet service today was to physically replace the modem at this spectrum store. I returned home, and called spectrum customer support after the modem would not activate, and was told point-blank the MAC address of the plastic-wrapped replacement modem is registered to someone else's account. Later in the call, I was told "the MAC address can't find an IP," and that our "coaxial cable connection must have been damaged by the outage yesterday," so the trip for a modem was pointless. Anywho, after same abysmal Spectrum customer service as always. As soon as I entered the store, the manager was irritated I didn't sign in immediately and demanded I go back and sign in. He then moved to the empty service desk, and demanded I come back and remove the modem I set down to go sign in. Some time later, I was allowed the privilege of returning the modem that wasn't broken, so I can still spend my third evening tomorrow meeting with yet another spectrum technician I can practically guarantee will want to replace the modem I just picked up, because, again: It's tied to someone else's account, and the power outage yesterday "broke the coaxial connection" according to Spectrum's best and brightest.
