t-Mobile used to be the absolute best. Now, they are the worst. I go into the store and hear one thing, then the bill shows up and it's $60.00 higher than quoted in store. Also, I got 2 supposedly "free" trackers, that I didn't ask for, and they show up as part of a recurring charge. I'm shopping AT&T as well as Verizon, who USED to be the worst. At least Verizon was honest about their charges. If they said it in store, it was reflected on the bill. With these guys, it really looks to be bait and switch. Whether it's lack of training or a conscious effort, the end result is a higher bill. Not a good look T-Mobile. And it's a pain in the butt to get a real person on the phone at 611. Attempts to resolve things over chat on T-Life were fruitless. The app either locks up or just says chat isn't working... go the the website. The website loops you back to T-Life. That's what brought me into the store in the first place and started this whole mess. It's time to go cell phone plan shopping. Yuck. read more

Hands down the worst experience I've ever had with a business. I canceled my service in January, but surprise--bills kept rolling in like I ordered a subscription to nonsense. I called to sort it out, and they were like, "Oh, you don't owe anything!" Cool, right? Nope. The bills kept coming like they missed me. I was told to go into the store in person--because apparently, 2025 doesn't believe in resolving things over the phone anymore. I showed up with receipts, literally, showing my balance was zero per the creditors. The girl "helping" me looked like she had wandered in by accident and just decided to stay. Completely useless. Staff was super friendly, I was worried from the negative reviews from the last few months about the service and the manager, but the manager must've been temporary, Kevin, the current manager, as well as his staff was super helpful and actively tried to give us the best deals. My mamma and I we're coming in with a tricky case, my dad had traded from att to tmobil about 4 months ago and we were too busy to actually activate our phones to tmobil, they basically made it as if the hiccup didn't happen, and we were able to get free phones with the transfer. Props to Kevin who went in the back and made some phone calls for us, popped in n out to update us on his call every few minutes, and made everything despite the crazy situation super smooth :) read more

I just moved from Verizon to T-Mobile recently and went into this store to inquire about their "iPhone 15 On Us" promotion. The sales person that helped me clearly had no idea what they were doing as they quoted me $67/mo. for 24 months, for an iPhone 15 Pro with 256GB, which totals $1,608!!! What a deal!!!! I later went online, ordered an iPhone 15 Pro with 512GB for a monthly fee of under $16.00/mo for 24/months. $384.00!! I thought going into the store would be a way of finding the best deal and getting what I need. I was clearly wrong, what a disappointment. Train your people T-Mobile! read more

I was misinformed about add-ons to my recent upgraded SamSung phone. These totaled $80 (non of which I needed but understood that it was required for me to buy and at a much reduced cost). I subsequently found out they added these charges to my financing without my knowledge. Once I found a huge difference in my monthly billing, way offsetting any savings on the trade in, I contacted the store and after waiting 45 minutes was able to state my complaint. Eventually they assured me after discussing with the manager I would get an $80 credit on my account. Never happened. Very fast talkers who will slip all kinds of charges in that you don't even understand or know about. Don't trust them. read more

The WORST experience ever by a manager named Dan & the scary person they sent out to cus me out as they laughed. I was minipulated into a phone I really didn't want & was told I could return it when my other phone was fixed. He didn't bother saying it would be $70 or in 14 days, fortunately I looked that up. The 1st week it was useless saying "no service" when I tried to call anyone. It would not hook up to my bluetooth, dropped EVERY call after 10 min & took 1-4 min too get on the internet. Useless! Long story short I called on a Tues & was told by 2 employee's that Thurs was the 14th day. Well, the power happy manager Dan says it was the 15th day & throws the receipt back to me saying "your a day late, nothing I can do for you". He was 100% wrong, corporate confirmed Thurs was infact the 14th day. Was he lying, needed training, dumb or was Dan just mean? I'm really upset by now. I'm 60, a 3 time cancer + septic shock survivor & had just gone grocery shopping, I was exhausted as anyone that's been through that knows by the end of the day how you feel. Dan was extremely rude to me as I asked to speak with his manager, he said, "well thats not going to happen" then I asked his last name, his answer "I'm not giving you that" then proceeds to say I'm being rude & tells me to leave the store or hes going to call the police. I'm guessing I was rude because I said his employees needed training & I was not going to let him get away with this unfairness. I go to my car which was parked in front of the store & called t-mobile & spoke to a manager. While on hold he comes out & again says if you don't leave I'm going to call the police, lol!!! Now the dishonest, control happy manager Dan thinks he controls the parking lot. Then a person that was talking to one of the employees when I 1st came in, who had left before the the whole not being able to return the phone scene came back in to chat with that same employee again. To me they looked a bit scary & were big, not sure if it was a man or women? That person came out & started screaming profanities at me. You mother f..., f... you, the c word, I'm going to kick your ass, they said you were rude & continues screaming over & over which seemed like forever. I can see in the store & I know they could hear the screaming, no one came out they just sat there laughing. I was really scared now & started to kinda panic. The t-mobie manager I was talking to could hear the person screaming & told me to call the police but I didn't want to start my story all over again, I just wanted to go home & go to bed. She starts saying because im a day late there is nothing she can do & has left notes about Dan because no customer should be treated this way, now I'm crying my eyes out & having a full on anxiety attack. Really??? I'm just done & say I have to go & hang up. I called the complaint # for T-Mobile the next day, I was told that Thurs was the 14th day & how disgusted they were on how I was treated by Dan, basically the whole situation. Thankfully they have started an investigation. They sent me a label to return the phone for a full refund which is what Dan should have done. I caled Dan the next day to ask him why he would lie & treat a customer like he did but he saw my # & hung up me after saying a few threats. Really professional for a manager Dan. I had a business for 30 years. I would never allow any of my employees to treat a customer let alone a manager like he did. Dan did everything he could to frustate me & show me he had all the contol because he was this big powerful manager of a T-Mobile store. Its pathetic, sad & evil. My wife and I switched from Verizon because of some bad customer service and are so glad we did. The deal we got for an unlimited plan at T-Mobile is so much better than a limited (4gig) plan we had with Verizon and the people at T-Mobile were very helpful and efficient in getting us switched over. read more

Neither Phone or Home Internet work from my house and the tower is across the street. Hot Spot speed ridiculously slow 12GB vs 120 at a friends house. Wasted hours and hours and hours on the phone with overseas customer service with no improvement. Stuck with 2 yr contract. Beware and I have the best plan, Magenta Plus. read more

Today I was in to update my billing and get something for my phone and the staff were again attentive and they informed me that their post-pay account comes with a Netflix subscription as well as a hotspot and unlimited everything and that was pretty nifty! read more

I ordered a new Iphone through Sprint/T-Mobile. My account is complicated, so I did the order direct, over the phone with Sprint. I called this location for assistance with transferring data from my old Iphone to the new one. Here's the kicker.... The said "because of Covid" they aren't transferring data for customers that didn't buy the phone from them. Pretty convenient. I told them that I purchased the phone through an official Sprint/T-Mobile channel. Turns out that these guys are some 3rd party scab shop, and they aren't actually what I was believing I was seeing when they claim the "T-Mobile" name..... I'm really surprised that T-Mobile would even let them run with the name emblazoned across their building. This business is a stain on Auburn. Hopefully we get an official affiliated T-Mobile/Sprint option in Auburn sometime soon. read more

Switched to T-Mobile in April, was told I would have good reception in areas like Foresthill. Meadow Vista, Auburn. They lied! Reception was non existent in many areas, calls were dropped constantly. I missed many business calls because of their lies. I called tech support and they confirmed that there wasn't any service in the areas I gave them. Don't switch. you'll be sorry as I was. Now it's costing me hundreds of dollars to switch again, but worth it in the long run. read more

The kids that work at this location are so unprofessional that I will never come here again. He first time I came in there, it was to just ask about why my phone wasn't getting the high speed data that my phone was set up for. They couldn't give me a straight answer and it just sounded the like were B.S-ing their way out of the question. The second time I just had my boyfriend go in there because I knew I already didn't want to deal with them. I needed my phone replaced because it was over heating really bad. They said that they will order a replacement for it. They told us it would be about a day before it came in and I would get a text from them to pick it up. So we waited about 2 days until we actually called them about it. The Person on the phone acted like they had no idea what we were talking about even though HE was the one who ordered it!? Like seriously?! On top of that I we called again about 2 days later and they were telling us that it looks like nothing was even ordered! I can't even tell you how heated I was. I didn't even bother complaining because I knew I wasn't going to get anywhere with them. All in all this location is the worst one I have ever been too. If there is a way I can give this store a lower star rating than an 1 star Because they don't even deserve that much I most defiantly would rate them below. The person in charge would not allow me to return my device within the 14 days grace period that I had with my device. He also didn't explain throughly enough about the Jump On Demand Lease. He failed to state that I would still have to pay for the devices accessories for the phones I no longer was using. Not to mention it will take an hour just to pay you bill. The 1800 number for T Mobile customer service however is excellent! I highly recommend you call them about anything you need from T Mobile instead of going to this T Mobile store. T-Mobile is heartless. The way my aunt was treated by this company is appalling. Her phone was lost/stolen, and she called the company. They then put a block on her phone and told her she could buy another at the Auburn store for $100.00, and that $100.00 would be added as minutes to her new phone, and her remaining minutes would also still be on it and those minutes would be active until October 2019. She was also told that the store in Auburn had been notified and were aware of what was to transpire. Well, guess what? She got to that store and was told by the employee that there was no such record of the offer and he couldn't help her. As she was explaining things to him, the phone then rang and he answered it, then proceeded to ignore her for the next 45 minutes. She finally had enough and just walked out. She then called T-Mobile back, AND AFTER BEING ON THE PHONE FOR OVER 2 HOURS AND TRANSFERED TO 7 DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS, she was then told that offer was no longer available to her. SHE WAS NOT TOLD THIS WAS AN OFFER, JUST THAT IT WAS BEING DONE FOR HER SINCE HER PHONE WAS LOST. This is an 83 year old woman who only wanted what was promised to her, but I guess that is of no importance to this company. I personally called T-Mobile myself because it was me who put the original minutes on her phone, and I demanded a refund, which they said would show up on my card in the next day or so. They were polite on the phone, but basically told me my aunt was just "out of luck" in this matter. Is this really how this company treats it's elderly customers? This is customer service at it's very worst. There needs to be a minus score on Yelp, because giving this company one star is just way too generous. How can they do this to an 83 year old woman who lost her phone and was very worried about not having it anymore, and went to them for help, then was basically lied to?
