After we purchased our service plan and phones for the whole family, we returned home and found out there is zero 5G and 4G service at our house and our entire neighborhood. Dropped calls all day, we can't call anyone including for emergencies due to very poor signal. The T-mobile map in the store is false advertising as it said we would have amazing 5G service. I don't blame the store for this, but shame on T-Mobile for false advertising. After hours on the phone with customer service and multiple calls, they refuse to cancel our plan without penalties. Beware if you live in area code 97225, you may not get any service. read more

The woman blondish or light brownish hair (a manager) is horrible and reflects off of the people that work there. I had no help in my phone needs and the manager behind my back was telling her co workers (my son see her and told me afterwards) not to help me. A few years ago sold me a phone and told me it was like an Apple iPhone but it never work and got stuck with it. Super poor service. I arrived at 10:05am on a Monday. I only needed to return a 5G internet modem. It was supposed to be a quick and simple job. However, the staff ignored me. There was one staff member who finished his task and went to hide in the backroom, and left at 1020am... 20 minutes after the door opened.. two other two staffs were serving other customers. Besides me, there were four or five other people behind me who weren't even checked in yet, and the staff out front would be rude enough and pretended that we were all transparent..without even saying any words to any of us. Today i have called customer service to help with a new phone,i have issues with my phone,and since i am local i ask if this service is available at cedar hill t mobile shop,i went to the store and the service team member name was Eddie ,After check in and explaining i want to do the promotion phone on us for prepaid for 3 months,he totally brush me off and deviated to sell me some other plan and i told me i have to buy a new phone in order to keep my plan and my phone number,he did not want to help me or deal with me,i spent almost 45 minutes on the phone with customer service and they told me the deal, and you can do it in the store at cedar hill location or with us on the phone,i decided to go to the store, totally disappointed with this location but mainly this service member did not want to help at all,i have been with tmobile for many years and i have a prepaid plan regardless of my plan this service member completely ignore me and try to sell me another new phone instead the phone on us deal,contrary to what customer service told me on the phone. read more

Really hit or miss over the years. Also, don't think you're being smart by coming in the morning and beating the crowd. We waited nearly an hour in the morning because there was only one employee for much of that time. Their advice was to come in the afternoon when they are more fully staffed. Also saw an incident in the store today with an elderly Asian man that made me feel really uncomfortable. He was patiently waiting in this inefficient morning line and then thought it was his turn because the gentleman before had left to go to his car for a while. (Easy mistake). The employee and the other customer were both then very condescending to him and patronizing to the nth degree. I mention that he is Asian because I witnessed the racism of when people suddenly get attitude and enunciate and slow their words down to you like you're dumb and don't know the language. The staff member was the one that was first rude to him, which I believe set the precendent for the prior customer that he could be rude as well. This store is also in a neighborhood that has more people of color in the neighborhood, much of the rest of us waiting were people of color and it made the store feel less emotional safe seeing the drastic difference people were being treated. read more

Zero stars if I could.... This isn't about any particular store, it's about TMobile as a whole. Unless you have a penchant for masochism, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. I was a Sprint customer for a long time...a service I really liked... TMobile waltzed in and destroyed that nearly overnight. The crappy wireless service was evident immediately (I didn't even have enough service to make a phone call from my living room!). Then, the lies, duplicate bills & overcharging started. After getting endless empty promises from the local support folks, I took my complaints all the way to corporate & was politely told they knew about it all (especially the wireless service issues) and none of it was going to be fixed...ever. And, oh, by the way don't think about withholding payment...we have the 3rd Army of bill collectors on speed dial. Now, 60 days after termination of my service, I'm still hassling with them about a refund of my credit balance. TMobile...just say no....now and always. read more

This is not a review of the product. This is *only* about the customer service. Long term Verizon customer, looking to make some changes. Friends are suggesting TMobile, so I go in with 1001 questions, and very clear that I am not buying anything at this point. Derek was everything I want in a customer service position. He answered all of my questions, even when I asked the same thing several times. I never felt like he had something better to do - like help someone who would be buying something. He didn't try to push one product over another, which is a rarity in most stores. I have a brand loyalty, and he respected that. He listened to my concerns about my current (soon to be ex) service. He addressed each of the items and what to expect from TMobile. He listened to what *I* need in a device (which is very different from a lot of people), and made recommendations based on my needs. I am not yet sure if TMobile is going to be the right service for me, but Derek very much is the go-to guy for all my questions. And, TBH, observing the other two folks on duty, they seem (from a distance) to be the same way. This leads me to believe that this starts with the manager setting a good example. read more

I give the staff 5Stars, especially Trent at Cedar Hills store The corporate part of Tmoblie SUCKS. As I sit on hold for over an hour to speak with a supervisor to get help. Here's the story: Last November on Black Friday I ordered 2 phones but explained we would not be activating or switching carriers until Christmas. I go into a store at the mall to look at phone cases and the gentleman that helped me looked up my account and showed me I was already being charged. I was within my 14 days to cancel which I did since they wouldn't fix it. After going back and forth on the phone, I finally got it cancelled. Then a month later I receive a bill for 2 months of service. They tell me I have to go into the store since I can't remember my pin #, which why would I since I canceled. At the store I am informed that Tmobile has canceled my account for lack of payment, which by this time they have already refunded my money and it clearly shows in the records the day I canceled. Fast forward to present day, I wait my 90 days to re-sign and go into the store because I will never do this over the phone again. Well guess what, the 90days goes by when Tmobile cancelled me not when I cancelled. I was asked if I had my own business, which I did, and I could sign up under a business account. Well that was 2 months ago. I am still unable to get on the app and keep getting notices that my bill is late because they don't send me one and I can't get online to see and pay my bill. I was given a ticket number a month ago and was told it's an IT issue. For a month, really??? I am still on hold waiting for a supervisor since the standard response is that this is an IT issue. And they have me by the *****, because of the phone I got through them. The only positive I can say right now is the staff at the Cedar Hills store was amazing. I've visited this store four times in the last three months. Decent customer service when I was there. Unfortunately, I had to get a new SIM card (last week) and since then I've received 20 TMO text messages with a title of "STATE?" and an action for me to do. When I called the store this morning, the CSR showed no interest in helping me to understand what was going on and continued to default for me to call 611 or to come in. The lack of trying to acknowledge or understand the problem I'm having was very disappointing. After several attempts to explain my issue to the CSR, and listening to her apparent lack of concern, I gave up. I told her thanks and waited for some type of "thanks for calling T-MOBILE" or something. Nope, she just hung up. I'll visit a different store to service my 5 lines from now on. read more

My elderly (84) father requested that I accompany him to T Mobile to get his phone fixed. He gets cranky with salespeople,it usually isn't a lot of joy and fun, so I wasn't super excited about helping, but he's my dad so I sucked it up. I got a latte on the way, that helped. I was waiting for him outside the store when an employee of the store came out and said, "Are you Janet? your dad is inside!" well, that's nice, I thought. But who knows what dad did to make that happen. I went in. Dad was seated at the only place to sit ( what is it with phone stores not having places to sit?) at a desk in the back. By himself. The woman who called me in went to the register and started helping customers. Dad told me she'd be right back, well it didn't look like it. We waited for a while, then I went over and said quietly, " My dad is still waiting for you" and she uh huhed me.So I went back and sat in her chair. Ok, they were busy, 3 employees and maybe five clusters of customers. Some of them came in after Dad, though. Finally a young man named Steven came to help us.he brought me another chair, too. He was fairly patient with my dad's long winded explanation of what didn't work ( why did his phone show minutes available when he has an unlimited plan, well Stephen took that info right off the screen) and how does the alarm work ( Stephen set it so it would go off, actually there was no explanation of how to do this in the booklets that came with the phone, I asked if they had a simpler phone? no. If they had a cheat sheet for this one? no). Steven allegedly fixed up the alarm, we will see how that goes, and my dad was mollified. While we were sitting there with Steven my dad asked if they could turn down the music that was blasting from an ipod right next to him ( it really was loud, any regular person would have had a hard time) and Steven turned it off, but then the woman ( manager?) snapped "Turn that back on Steven we have to have music in the store!" so Steven turned it back on, but lower. I said to her, my dad was having a hard time with that, and she had a face that said she clearly didn't care, rules are rules. What if my dad had a hearing aid or something that caused problems with the music blasting? really, it couldn't be off for ten miinutes? hmm. I didn't like that. Dad didn't know how to access his voice mail, and he didn't like "voice mail" being listed in his contacts, so Stephen showed him how to access it, and eliminated Voice mail from the contact list. All without eye rolling or complaining, which I appreciate. He wasn't effusively friendly or helpful, but he was moderately kind and patient. that was fine. So, my dad ( who had strewn his papers all over their desk, which I picked up and put in his T Mobile bag) was shuffled back out. He has a two year contract, unlimited minutes, no text or internet, and a phone he really doesn't know how to use, which is their simplest one...I'm hoping from here it goes ok. This was a somewhat stressful outing. My dad was tired and still explaining ( in a long winded repetitive manner) to the people at the counter on the way out as I hustled him out the door. I wish they had a simpler phone with instructions for kids and older people. And maybe a better attitude about accommodating people's needs. But we used to have T Mobile and I remember when it started to turn. Not my favorite. But is any other cellular phone company really better? read more

Skye is an absolute joy and I was so grateful to have her be my T-mobile rep during my visit. I dropped my iPhone 11 in water and watched it die slowly in front of my eyes. I was so sad about my mistake and brought it in to this location. Skye helped me for about 2 hours to get a new phone and transfer all of my information from my old one onto my new one. The entire time, Skye was very positive, joyful and made me laugh out loud despite how sad I was about the situation. We both watched as my old phone progressively got worse and worse and she helped me transfer everything just as the old one completely died. While mine was loading, I saw her being helpful to everyone else, both employees and customers, around the store. She had the best attitude! She is great and I enjoyed my visit! Christine (I hope I'm spelling it right) is one of the best customer service reps I've ever dealt with. I had one of those problems where they say hmm never seen that before. She tried several different workarounds but still no luck. She explained she'd need to move it up the chain and asked if I could come back a little later when her co-worker was in. Stopped by after work when Christine and Autumn worked hard to try and resolve my issue. It is a much more complicated issue then we first thought but both have been so helpful I'm confident it will be taken care of soon. Thanks to both this awesome women for their help. I got a new iphone here, I originally wanted info on their trade in deal but apparently it's only if you add a new line which I didn't need. The tall guy helping me was "ok" but there were two coworkers in the back that seemed to be very unprofessional and opinionated with my refusal of getting their extra insurance, which I already have on my other phones and never need it. The one guy in the back in particular seems like a "character" didn't appreciate his snarkiness. I should've gone to a previous tmobile location where I had a wonderful experience. read more

This location needs to work on their customer service skills. We were never greeted but stared at by multiple employees upon walking in. Not even a "welcome" or "we will be with you shortly". But the person who entered after us was greeted by three different employees- what's up with that? A bit irritating and awkward. Not to mention they were playing music that was loud and spewing of profanity. Five minutes into waiting some dude walks up and asks us if we were on the list. ...uh, there's a list? Oh you mean the invisible one I was looking for while walking around the store five minutes ago? Nope, it's the one an employee possessed and was supposed to take my name down upon my arrival after being greeted. Which both never happened. We ended up leaving without being serviced. I realized I had left my phone charger at one of the apartment properties where I work. This property is located to hell and gone and is closed for the night and for Easter Sunday. I can't be without my phone; I think sometimes I'd weld it to my fingers if I could. I joke about my phone holding my whole life, but when I misplaced my charger, I realized how much of my life is on that phone and that I've developed dependency on it, if not addiction. Fortunately I called this TMobile store where I bought my phone and checked on availability of a new charger. Deep sign of relief when the store associate told it was available and at a very reasonable price. I started breathing easier immediately. After work tonight, I dropped by the store and was greeted immediately by Malya. She found what I needed immediately and was very friendly and chatted and laughed with me through the whole transaction. When I pick up my old charger on Monday where i left it, I'll keep it in my tote bag to use for "mobile recharge" while I'm on the go and keep the new one at home so I'll never be without a charger whever I go. Thanks TMobile and Malya for helping to bring everything back to normal and taking a lot of stress out of my day. read more

Mom ordered the wrong SIM card online so I decided to hit up T-Mobile to get it exchanged. Walked in and was greeted by a young female. Told her my situation and was given the option to repurchase the correct SIM card. That was it, no exchange (the SIM card my mom ordered wasn't activated or anything!). She gave me a straight up answer and told me "I would have to charge you $10 and you can go on your way with the correct SIM card." Extremely rude and gave me this attitude that I shouldn't even be in the store. Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't you suppose to bring in customers? I thought T-Mobile wanted more customers from Verizon and AT&T? After a heated 3-5 minutes of reasoning with her, I gave up and left. Called customer service and told them what happened and the lady on the phone was shocked. She told me since the SIM wasn't activated, they can exchange with a different size SIM card and not charge the $10 fee. She told me to try a different T-Mobile store. Got off the phone and drove to the Washington Square T-Mobile location (next to Microsoft kiosk). Walking in, I was greeted by a very friendly guy. Told him what happened at the Cedar Hills T-Mobile store and asked what he could do for me. Did I mention he was friendly? He went to the back and grabbed a couple SIM cards and told me he is very sorry for what I had to experience at Cedar Hills and I should come to this location instead. He even let me keep the old SIM and if I switch phones, I can easily activate/swap for the other SIM. In the end, he gave me two new correct size SIM cards and let me keep the old SIM. How awesome is that? To the "manager" or whatever your title is that was rude at the Cedar Hills T-Mobile store, I hope you read this and learn from your mistake. read more

The representatives at this store ruins my overall experience with T-Mobile. I've been a long time T-Mobile customer and normally have good experience with the company. However, the employees here at this location over my last several visits have made me question my loyalty to this brand. Most of them don't have patience and their negative tone of voice really surfaces. They lack the ability to communicate and lack the ability to explain policies in a professional manner. This location is super close to my house so it's convenient. However, after today... I will start going to another location or handle matters remotely. The reps who helped me digitally via phone/text have been ten times more helpful than the reps at the store level. I told the rep at the store that I wanted to buy a 1k phone, but he treated so poorly.... that I left the store. I ended up buying a thousand dollar phone from T-Mobile today via text. You know there's a problem with this store's customer service when a rep via text closes a sale. read more

Great experience with my visit tonight. There were a lot of customers here, a bit of a long wait. It's understandable since the iPhone 7 just got released and the Samsung Note 7 is being recalled. The reason for my visit tonight was to return the Note 7 I bought recently. They made it so simple, no questions asked. What really stood out was the authentic professionalism, great customer service and the occasional check in with me understanding that I was waiting a long time to talk to someone. I'm not giving this T-Mobile location a 1 star because I'm disappointed and dissatisfied with my experience there, I'm giving it a one star because of my experience with the woman who helped me today. I've been to this store several times in the last few years and have always left feeling happy that someone helped me make sure that all my transfers from one phone to another was completed. I got my very first iPhone today at the recommendation of a friend. He was an android user like me and he just got his first iPhone. T-Mobile was able to transfer all of his contacts, files, photos and text messages over without any issues. It's not that big of a deal if texts messages can't be transferred over from one phone to another but the woman who helped me today was unable to do that. Like I said, not a big deal but her attitude about it wasn't very customer service friendly and she literally said to me "I don't know what to tell you" when she was unable to successfully transfer text messages. I do not like having to write a negative review about any employee at an establishment but I simply did not appreciate the demeanor that this woman had toward me when she couldn't figure something out. I went 15 years with T-Mobile and was happy with the service. Last year I had a problem. I talked to one snotty mouthed kid after another. It took me 6 call backs to get hold of a mature, reasonable person who actually understood I WAS THE CUSTOMER! The most annoying things the kids did were 4) try to sell me a phone I did not need. 3)Try to baffle me with technical BS until I told them I has a masters in electronics. 2) Asked me to wait while they checked on things (for 20 minutes. REALLY???). 1) The number one annoyance, however, was their disrespectful conversations with me. Ignorance is forgivable, arrogance is not. I will not renew my contract with T-Mobile until someone fixes their personnel issues. read more

The employees here barely look up when a customer enters the store. They are a group of young guys who appear to be more interested in horsing around with one another than with operating a store. No lie, when I went up to the counter to ask a question on my most recent visit, i had to hold off on my speaking because the guy at the register was saying to the other employee "man I'm gonna stick my foot up your ass". I have been here several times and usually leave without getting what I wanted, but rather, preferring to go home and order online or over the phone. Great service here! I came in on the 6s launch day and there was a huge amount of people but the staff managed the people perfectly! I was in and out with my new 6s in no time! Rafael was the gentleman who helped me and he was knowledgeable, fast,polite and made my experience perfect despite some technical set backs related to the huge amount of traffic. Visited the store today (8/15/14) was promptly greeted and asked what I need. Informed the young woman that my phone was broken and that I probably need a replacement (buttons along bottom do not work) We sat down and when I took the phone out she said "well that's your problem, you have an S2" and quickly tried to sell me a new $610 S5. I told her that I had insurance and would like to hear my options. She told me that I could get a refurbished S2 for $150 DOWN PAYMENT or (insert sales pitch on S5) I have been a happy customer with T-mobile for over ten years and was told there were no deals and that I could either pay $610 out of pocket for a new phone or $150 up front for a 3 year old refurbished S2. There was nothing she could do nor would do for me to lower the price or even throw in accessories NOTHING was done to retain my service with T-mobile. This was literally THE worst sales and customer service experience I have ever received. I will be contacting T mobile tonight about this and what they can offer me to retain my loyal and continued business. I am disgusted. read more
