This review is totally for the store manager, Alex. I came in at 6:40pm and waited for 20 mins for a rep to help me with returning two old phones; all while the manager sat and did some non-customer facing activities. There were 4 other people waiting and he never even acknowledge the line of people. Totally unprofessional!!! Then once I was helped and my rep needed his override, it took his sweet time chatting with another customer before coming over knowing that I had waited 20 mins to be helped. He came over and couldn't do the override because system didn't take his credentials (how do you not know your override code?). If I can give a negative one star, I would. The customer service here is outstanding. Anthony & Edwardo were very helpful in trying to resuscitate my phone, she was DOA. As hard as they tried she couldn't be resurrected. My deceased phone was under warranty and I chose to have it replaced, but as luck would have it she died on a Friday and I wouldn't receive the replacement phone until the following week. Anthony walked me through various options and gave me a walkthru of several phones. Yep, I ended up buying a new phone. My wife and I upgraded her phone today at the T-Mobile store at 505 E Hamilton Ave, Campbell, CA. Mobile Expert Anthony Bueno-Diaz helped us all the way. Anthony began by sanitizing his hands and putting on gloves. While performing some complex data syncing with the old phone, he carried on a great conversation with us. He also answered all our questions about the process with a smile. His work included discovering how to copy all the text messages to the new phone without connecting any device. Throughout our lengthy visit, Anthony was kind, patient and tireless. Having 40 years' experience in programming and computing, I observed that Anthony has a superior talent in any role. I was in dire need of a new router and determined that not only could I get one ordered by phone but also at a store if they had one in stock. I spoke to the team at this store and new they had one. I tried to get there by 8pm when they closed but called and said it looked like I'd be 5 or so minutes late due to traffic. They let me in after 8pm and couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant to make sure I could get reconnected to the Internet at home. Surprised to see that no one has reviewed this Campbell location yet...not sure if it's new. Anyway, after an especially fun and wild night of drinking in Santa Cruz with good friends this weekend, I lost my cellphone. Nothing new and my usual thing (drinking in SC, that is), but this time, the addition of a Zombie with 151 from Hula's put things over the top. Didn't taste like much, but those things are wickedly deceptive and will knock you on your arse. First time I've been flying injured in a long time (not literally). Anyway, a group of us cab'd around everywhere that night, so it might have been left in a cab, but I do vaguely recall setting it and the phone case down while shooting pool after it fell off my belt. Tried calling my phone the next morning, but it instantly went into voicemail (it was fully charged when I lost it) so I'm sure that the slimeball who found it turned it off and decided to keep it. The next day, I called T-Mobile to suspend my service until I got a new phone. I was told that I am responsible for any calls made up to that so I'm hoping nobody made any international calls. The customer service rep was great and also told me that T-Mobile has a plan where you pay partial and then they then bill you in three additional bite-size installments on your regular phone bill. It sure takes the sting out of paying $200 for a new phone after a night of merriment and alcohol-fueled abandon. Was going to order a new phone until he told me that if I went to a Corporate T-Mobile store, I could get one on that plan right away, but that most were not corporate stores. He looked it up for me and immediately found one in San Jose (Blossom Hill Rd) and also this more convenient one in Cambell (E. Hamilton) which was right next to Hwy 17 on my way home from Santa Cruz. Walked in, still in a daze from the night before and the guy who helped us was totally cool. He was very knowledgable, knew his stuff, and his professionalism made the process fast and painless. I feel bad that I didn't get his name because he was great. Just took a look at my receipt and regretfully there's no name, but it does say sales rep: 1583506. Was freaked since I had hundreds of contacts and phone numbers on the sim card of my old phone that I thought was gone forever, but once I got home and charged my new phone, I was thrilled to see that they had all magically re-appeared since T-Mobile had backed up my contacts on their system automatically. Like I always say, out of every bad, there is always some good. Sometimes it's obvious and sometimes you really have to look for it, but it's there. I love my new phone and now realize how much I disliked my other phone even though it was almost new. Needless to say, I am very happy with T-Mobile right now. read more

You know, it's really hard to rate a carrier's retail location because churn happens and you can have an amazing or a horrific experience, depending on the person with whom you interact. This location gets 5 stars for my experience today with Andy. He was helpful, speedy (patient but not wasting my time), not overly-salesy, and genuinely knew his stuff (about phones, wireless technologies, etc.). Can I guarantee that you'll have a great experience at this store? Maybe not. But if you are in the area and looking at T-Mobile (their network's improving a ton, they're significantly cheaper than competition and NO contracts? why AREN'T you looking at T-Mo?) look up Andy at this store and I think he'll take good care of you. read more

I'm so irritated! 8 employees on the floor and only helping 3 customers. Really disappointed! I come here often and I always always have a great experience. But I don't see one familiar face. I asked for the manager Mark and was told he's on maternity leave for a month. When I asked this guy why there is three tmobile employees sitting at the table chatting his response was, oh that girl is already off and they are talking. When I brought to his attention the 8 employees on the floor and only 3 customers. ...... He advised that there are a few in training. I explained I needed to go to work and if someone could help me back my phone up. 19 minutes after waiting. ...I went to the guy holding the clip board, and asked if he was in training he said no. I continued to asked him why they have so many people on the floor and not helping anyone.... He said some are in training. ... I said "I don't know, but call me crazy. ....but. ... shouldn't one of them be holding a clipboard writing names on a list and YOU, cuz I know you're not in training, be helping the customers waiting?! He looked at me with disgust and his response, "someone will be with you when is your turn" and walked off. Yeah thanks Tmobile. I was late to work. Ugh! So, I came into this store, and had a bit of a mixed experience at first. The first rep I talked to was pretty content to let me do my own thing and figure things out for myself, and eventually had another rep ring me up. The second guy I talked to, though- he was amazing. I think his name was Tony, but I might have forgotten by now(sorry dude, I'm terrible with names and can't find your card). I offhandedly mentioned that I was uncertain about the purchase, and he step-by-step walked me through and showed me a way better plan that ended up with me spending way less money for a way better phone. On top of that, he was more than willing to chat with me while fixing the printer, apologized for it taking so long(even when I told him I wasn't in a rush), and seemed like a really cool person. My entire family has been devoted T-mobile customers with no issues until we had an encounter with the one of the staff members in this store. We initially started in our home store in Sunnyvale at 3:30pm where we were hoping to upgrade two phones. We have never had a negative experience at this store. Due to a lack of phones, we were sent to the Hamilton store to pick up the new phone. Upon arrival (5:25pm) we were the only customers in the store and had the misfortune of meeting Omar. This employee through tone of voice and body language displayed a negative attitude towards us as customers. After purchasing, he stated that because the store was closing, he did not have time to help us transfer the information from the older phone to the newly purchased phone. This caught us by surprise as in previous interactions with employees normally assisted customers past closing until they finish (given we arrived with more than 30 min. before closing after being referred with a call from our home store). While this rubbed us the wrong way, we didn't argue. We wanted to do the trade in at the store; however the employees insisted that we had to do the deferred trade in where we would need to mail in the phone because they could not helps us complete the data transfer themselves, and therefore, could not accept the phone. Feeling annoyed at this point, we accepted this rule and continued with our purchase to complete the transfer at home and ship out the phone ourselves. Luckily, we were helped out by a different employee at this point where we were told to print out the shipping label on their website and that our receipts would be ready online in 24 hours. The next day my significant other spent about an hour on the website attempting to find the shipping label to no avail. From that day till the next, he contacted 3 different customer service representatives who all told him that he should be able to submit the device in the store. Livid, he came to me showing me all these conversations and interactions he had with customer service. We printed out the conversations and headed towards the store as we just wanted to get the shipping over with. Again, we had the misfortune to running into Omar. As we came into the store, my significant other requested speaking to a manager and Omar insisted on assisting us. We explained how we had spent time looking for the shipping label and showed Omar the different conversation print-outs with online representatives. Omar asked us to hold on and printed out a shipping label, stating that he did not understand how these individuals didn't know how to do their jobs since he was able to print it out in a minute. His complete disregarded our request to submit the phone in store as well as placing blame on his fellow T-Mobile member irritated my partner so that he began to argue that if they hadn't been so eager to close and help us with data transfer this would not be a problem. Omar, rather than help de-escalate the situation, raised his voice back at my partner attempting to place the blame on the staff member from our Sunnyvale store (Nicolas) for sending us to this store. While raising his voice he began saying that it was a new COVID-19 store policy to no longer do data transfers. My partner, understanding the COVID-19 crisis, stated he understood and asked why this wasn't communicated to us from the beginning as this would have reduced the irritation and tension caused by the perception of store members not doing their jobs. Omar stated that he didn't know pushed the shipping label towards us and stated that at least we had our shipping label. At this point I am livid at Omar's lack of personal accountability, placing the blame on others, attitude problem, and him raising his voice instead of de-escalation. I pushed the shipping label back at him, reiterated the time lost in seeking assistance for our phone and insisted that the store do an in-store trade in rather than wasting further time in shipping. Omar rejected my request saying that there was nothing they could do and at that point my partner and I requested to speak to the manager. Omar stated that the manager had just left to lunch and we told him we would wait. We then had the pleasure of meeting Jackie Scheid, the retail associate manager. Upon hearing our struggle, seeing our documents, and checking with the system Jackie was able to save our T-Mobile brand perception (which was being destroyed by Omar's customer service). She was extremely friendly, inviting, and professional as she was able to assist us with our in-store trade in and even with increasing coverage for one of our phones. I do not believe Omar accurately represented T-mobile in these interactions, given the long history of positive experiences my family has had with this company. I do believe a customer service training should be implemented for this employee or this store as this was the only location that we have ever had a problem with. read more
