The minute we entered the store, Steph cheerfully greeted us, sat my mom and I down and within minutes had my mom's new phone ready to be set up. Steph patiently walked my mom through every step, explaining everything that she was doing, and made sure to check on us while the data was transferring to the new phone. Steph was so patient, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. We returned shortly after to purchase a phone case. Steph saw me entering and immediately made her way over to me to make sure everything was ok and then went the extra mile to search their entire inventory for a case. Unfortunately, it turned into a nightmare that lasted six months. Even after paying the standard upfront fee to upgrade, our monthly bills kept ballooning--over $500 total for both phones (about $260 each). When I went back to ask why the trade-in wasn't applied, they reassured me it was normal and promised the adjustment would appear the following month. Month after month, the charges continued. Each time, they blamed internal errors and promised it would be corrected--but it never was. For six months, I had to repeatedly follow up just to try to get the issue resolved. Verizon customer service couldn't help either, since the purchase was through Victra and not an official Verizon store. In the end, despite both of our phones being fully paid off, we are still stuck paying for another 12 months because of their mishandling. In short: avoid Victra at all costs. Go directly to an Apple Store or an official Verizon store. This experience was frustrating, expensive, and felt like a complete scam.

Spectrum is a horrible company. And if all that were not bad enough, they are expensive and their business model is to abuse existing customers with steady price increases. We have had Spectrum Internet for years and years. I called around 6 months ago, to ask if they could help us save some money on the Internet. Sure! the nice lady on the phone said. For just a $70 one-time service fee, they would bring and install new and updated equipment while also saving us $25 a month on the Internet. Great! The technician came and did the install. He said he tested everything. And... drumroll please... none of our tvs could connect to the new Internet. Nor could some of our other WiFi based home conveniences. So I called and they sent another technician, who was more thorough and honest, who explained that the new router wasn't strong enough to reach the nearest tv, which is about 15 feet from the router. So, the ten year old router reached all of our stuff, but the new one couldn't. Nice. We had to buy an Amazon eero system to extend the internet to our devices. After all this, the tvs still only connect sometimes and are slow, compared to the old Spectrum system. Spectrum simply doesn't care about its customers. Zero stars. (Unfortunately Spectrum is also a near monopoly. Only other choice for Internet here is Starlink.)
