Chicken Ginger Teriyaki with veggies and white rice

We had never been to this restaurant and we've been wanting to go for awhile and we finally had the time to go in. The minute you walk in you see the hostess who was very accommodating and very friendly. She was amazing!! I mentioned that I had food allergies and she made the point to go and ask the chef and their sister restaurant around the corner about the certain dishes that I was thinking of ordering. She made my day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance and decorative atmosphere was very inviting and the seating was spacious and comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was delicious and had great taste. The chef also made a great presentation of it all. I'll be sure to go back to try a few more dishes!

Checked this place out after hanging out around the square. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself kind of reminded me a small french bistro with its slightly dimmed cozy interior, chill atmoshpere, and bar setup.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was just one server working at the time and it started getting busy but still received great service throughout our visit. I was a bit skeptical about the food quality since it seemed like a little more upscale to the places I'm used to with this type of cuisine but that doubt was gone after our food came out. The food was delicious and definitely surpassed what I was expecting. Ill be coming back to try some of the other dishes.

Came here before seeing a musical at the campus theater. Great location if you're seeing a show! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is small and cozy. A more intimate setting; not alot of seating. Good date night place too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu had a lot of interesting options for adventurous eaters or those fans of Asian fusion. I ended up ordering the Spaghetti Kee Mow with Duck and started with the seaweed salad. Seaweed salad had good crunch and was the perfect serving size. The Kee Mow was pretty good. I wish there was some kind of sauce with it. It was rather dry. Duck breast was well cooked and thinly sliced, was easy to eat. Veggies were delicious. The Kee Mow came recommended by the server, who was very friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'd definitely come back to try more from the relatively eclectic menu and cool ambiance![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The presentation & flavors are next level! Our new favorite restaurant and so affordable! We shared appetizer, entree, dessert & a bottle of wine - just $80! I actually questioned the waiter about leaving something off the check!!

Super nice old fashioned cute place! Love it

Perfect place to have a well done spirit after work or maybe for a easy casual date night. After recommendations from family members we decided to give it a try and we weren't disappointed! Is a Asian fusion little restaurant that offers just the right amount of dishes. What makes this place great is the whole concept starting with the girls that attend the tables. All dressed and makeup like in the 30s-40s style!!! That's what catches the attention the most :D and is so beautiful and and they all are super nice, knowledgeable and provide impeccable service what is probably what makes the dinner experience good. The screen on the tv were showing mute movies and the music old 20s-30s gatsby-like jazz. Great! We order some drinks, wine and waters all good quality and well made. My scallop and shrimp spaghetti was made with curry and it was just delicious, I couldn't stop eating. The kids ordered the chicken skewers that. Oils be a little spicy for a kid but they were very tasty for me. Overall if you're Denton and want to have a relaxing atmosphere but yet classy, this is the place.

Shared plates were delicious- we had the calamari, octopus special, Vietnamese meatballs, and Chicken lettuce wraps. They have a nice wine list too! We had a bottle of Riesling that complemented the meal perfectly.

I have eaten at enough sushi restaurants to know the formula…read more Step 1: Install bamboo. Step 2: Add a dragon. Step 3: Play mysterious flute music. Step 4: Name every roll after either a volcano, a ninja, or an apocalypse. Komodo Loco apparently looked at that formula and said, "Nah." This place has actual character. The restaurant is dark and cool without feeling like you're being interrogated. There are cozy little nooks everywhere, and somehow it manages to feel both laid-back and upscale. Like if a speakeasy and a sushi restaurant had a child who grew up with excellent taste. Then the food arrived. Look, I've had plenty of sushi. I've had good sushi. I've had "my friend won't stop talking about this sushi" sushi. Komodo Loco belongs in the last category. The fish was incredibly fresh, but what really stood out was that the rolls didn't all taste like slight variations of spicy mayo negotiating with cream cheese. The flavors were genuinely original. We ordered the Crispy Rice Bites, the T-Dub Roll, and the Horacio Roll based on our server's recommendations. The Crispy Rice Bites were so good I briefly considered ordering a second round before I had finished the first. The T-Dub Roll disappeared from the plate so quickly that I suspect it may have violated several laws of physics. The Horacio Roll was one of those dishes that makes you stop talking mid-sentence and stare into the middle distance while reconsidering every life choice that led you to not order two of them. Which brings me to our server: Breann. Or Breanna. I apologize for not knowing which one. In my defense, I was busy entering a committed relationship with sushi. My daughter is moving to Denton, and since we don't live here, we asked what we should order. Breann/Breanna immediately became the Gandalf of menu navigation. There was no hesitation. No "everything is good." No vague server diplomacy. Just confident recommendations that absolutely delivered. She was kind, funny, helpful, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. More importantly, she made my daughter feel at home in a city she's about to call home. As a dad, that meant a lot. I also loved how Komodo Loco celebrated Pride Month. Not because restaurants have to weigh in on everything, but because the atmosphere simply communicated: "Hey, you're welcome here." And honestly, that's one of the best things a restaurant can do. Good food fills your stomach. A welcoming place fills the room. Komodo Loco managed to do both. So yes, I'll be back every time I'm in Denton. My daughter thinks she's moving here for school. I think she's moving here so I'll have an excuse to eat at Komodo Loco several times a year. One of us is probably right.

It wasn't very busy at the time, but our drinks still took about ten minutes to arrive. We started with potstickers, which were delicious, and our little one's avocado came out quickly, which we appreciated. However, after placing our order, we noticed several tables seated after us receiving their food before we did. At one point, we were concerned our order may have been overlooked. When the food finally arrived, it was very good--no complaints there--but the wait was a bit disappointing, especially since most of what we ordered were appetizers. Overall, we'd still come back, just hoping for a smoother experience next time.

First time here and... yeah, we've already mentally added it to the regular rotation…read more We ordered the Wagyu spring rolls, chicken lettuce wraps, and the Spicy General Tso's chicken, and every single thing showed up exactly how you hope it will when you're hungry and a little picky (hi, it's me). The Wagyu spring rolls? Golden, crispy perfection. That first bite cracks just right and then hits you with that rich, savory Wagyu goodness mixed with a little crunch from the veggies--small but mighty in the best way. The chicken lettuce wraps were so good. Super flavorful without being heavy--perfect balance with the savory sauce, mushrooms, and water chestnuts giving it that little crunch moment. Bonus points for the crispy rice sticks because texture matters and they understood the assignment. And the Spicy General Tso's... this is where they really showed off. Crispy chicken tossed in that sweet-heat Sriracha sesame situation with garlic, chili flakes, and just enough kick to keep things interesting without taking you out. Every bite was hot, fresh, and actually consistent--which, let's be honest, is rare and appreciated. Everything came out hot, quick, and tasted like someone in the kitchen actually cares about what they're doing. And the staff? That's what sealed it. They took a cute, quaint little spot and turned it into a genuinely fun dinner vibe. The kind of place where you don't feel rushed, just taken care of. Now... the only heartbreak of the night: finding out we narrowly missed their boba era Saw the machine wrapped up front like a retired legend and got the story--they were doing boba, but it didn't make the cut. A true "we could've had it all" moment. I'll recover... eventually. Safe to say... we'll be back. Probably sooner than we should be.
