First of all, I didn't realize they have TWO locations! one in Tukwila, which I go to pretty often, and this one right by Alki. But y'all, WHAT IN THE TARNATIONS?! The Alki location is such a VIBE! It was a beautiful sunny day, and sitting there with the warm weather, Vietnamese music playing, and the food coming out... I swear I felt like I was back in Southeast Asia for a minute. I do wish they decorated the outdoor seating area a little more to really lean into that tropical Southeast Asian vibe because the location has SO much potential, but honestly, the atmosphere was already giving. And here's what surprised me: I didn't realize Natalie's at Alki serves REAL FOOD! We got: Crab & Shrimp Fried Rice SO GOOD. Flavorful, packed with seafood, and definitely hit the spot. Mango Salad , Y'ALL!! THIS ONE?! The combination of fresh mango and avocado on a sunny day was PERFECT. Sweet, fresh, creamy, refreshing. I could've eaten the whole bowl myself! Literally almost did had to share LOL! we got Fries because honestly, you can never go wrong with fries. And of course, you already know we had to get the drinks! Their kumquat sugarcane drink is always a good choice. They also have gelato at this location, which I didn't even know! So now I already have another excuse to come back and try more of their menu. Tukwila location does have food but menus are a little different, so now I definitely need to go back and compare! Overall, Natalie's Alki is definitely worth checking out, especially if you're spending the day at Alki Beach. Grab some food, get yourself a sugarcane drink, sit outside, listen to some Vietnamese music, and pretend you're on vacation in Southeast Asia for an hour.

A couple of things I noticed when I walked in: 1) Cute place 2) No boba smell 3) Quiet (I was the only customer) Yes, I do rate my tapioca pearls based on smell. Why? Because about 8 out of 10 places I've been to that has that aroma usually means to me that they are making fresh boba (or just made fresh boba) while no smell means old boba. Needless to say, I was not impressed, but I ordered the classic milk tea anyway. I can NOT not order something when I'm the only customer; can not just walk out. Yes, I also judge if the place is good or not by how popping it is. Hey, don't judge me. Drink was cheap for its size, including boba AND tax was $5.79. You definitely cannot beat that price anywhere. But you get what you paid for: the drink was watered down and my boba was stuck together. We came in to an empty place and were pretty tempted to get their boba hotpot set but then settled on their milk tea. It's pretty brightly lit in here and there's a ton of tables to sit at. I got their roasted brûlée milk tea at 50% sweetness, and it was an all-right drink; it definitely felt unusually foamy as I drank more and more of it. My friend got their signature milk tea at 50% sweetness too, though when I had a sip I found it much sweeter than mine like it was at 100%; my friend also said he felt like it wasn't at 50% either. The drinks made were inconsistent, though this didn't affect my particular experience here. I'll get their other drinks if I do come back here, though I see myself going to Timeless Tea over at the Ave more often.

Also note they serve some of the "healthier" Chinese desserts but still very delicious while feeling less guilty. Jasmine Milk Green Tea w/ Boba - at 30% sugar I could taste the green tea fairly. There was a hint of sweetness so appreciate the sugar levels being accurate. Boba is coated in honey for taste but a bit firm, could be cooked longer. As mentioned, the unique trait is steamed milk that creates a foam layer and introduces an unorthodox texture with a foamy, creamy taste. Though once you drink a majority, you are left with foam.

You place your orders at any of two kiosks to the left-hand side of the kitchen just beyond the front counter, and you can redeem coupons on it like I did. I got what was essentially a BOGO coupon, so I got their Sakura Jasmine Milk Tea to share with my bestie, and he got an extra Tie Guan Yin milk tea for himself for later. The sakura jasmine milk tea was appropraitely sweet even though we got it on recommended sugar and ice levels, and is a step or two beyond the standard milk tea in that the jasmine tea itself is strong but not strong enough to nullify any sweetness added into the drink. Lychee inside the drink also provided more sweetness that the milk tea itself didn;t have too much of. Between this place and ComeBuyTea nearby, I could honestly go for either and I know I would get quality milk tea regardless! Sunright in general has relatively fresh milk tea to begin with from previous visits to their other locations so I see myself making some return trips here.

Again, very nice staff but abysmal speed of service. I didn't expect my rolls in 15 minutes, but waiting over an hour seemed a bit ridiculous. So I now see why the low average stars and for good reason. The food, when we got it, was very good. But hard to enjoy because we had waited so long. My niece suggested that we see if this place was actually Seattle Best Tea. The interior was crowded, so we thought that it must be a popular place. There were people standing in line and a small group sitting in the back of the shop. Service was efficient and polite. I was told that wintermelon tea cannot be served hot. That's ok... I can drink it with less ice on a chilly, cloudy afternoon. Since toppings were free, I got rainbow jelly. Yay! Thank you! We'll be back if we're in the area again!
