We really enjoyed Table 570 this past weekend. My only disappointment was the PuPu Platter. No flame, no excitement just some sad looking meats on a flat platter. This is an opportunity to improve and attract people who love this cuisine. The PuPu Platter is a major aspect of Polynesian/Asian/ Hawaiian/American dining, and of course TIKI culture. And if done right this would be something that everyone (especially people ordering Mai Tais, and even kids) would want to experience at this restaurant. For $22 which was a great price, I thought it would look much better, but it was just boring and uninspired. I suggest the restaurant charges $25 and just make it better, with a more decorated plate and the flame in the center to warm up the meats. Everything else was fabulous! Table 570 is an Asian fusion restaurant. It is owned by the Zen Restaurant Group, which has a few restaurants in CT. This restaurant was large and elegant. The parking lot was also spacious and easy to get in and out of. My family and I dined there on Saturday for lunch. The service was good too. I started off with a single size scorpion bowl; I liked the famous drink, it's fruity and tropical. My kids liked their plain lo-mein; it's also a huge portion with plenty leftover. We were hungry so we started off with the yellowtail and scallion sushi roll; it's super fresh and melted in my mouth good. They also serve fusion tacos; we opted for the teriyaki beef bao bun taco. This came with lettuce, bean sprouts, sesame seeds, scallions, ginger, and soy. I was a fan, but not sure if it's really fusion since it's just a regular bao bun with toppings. For my entree, I went for the classic, General Tso's chicken with white rice. The flavor was good! I liked that it had slices of zucchini, peppers, carrots, in a hot pepper tangy sauce. The portions were good too. They have an extensive menu with so many other food I want to try. From pad Thai, curry, teriyaki, to sushi; there is something for everyone. It was a pleasure on New Year's Eve to have dinner at one of our favorite Asian restaurants, table 570 Asian fusion in Simsbury. The homemade pork dumplings, fried, with full of delicious pork filling and fried to perfection. We had the sweet and sour chicken that was, of course, both sweet and sour and terrific. We tried the rock shrimp tempura, it was a bit overdone and not as much of a tempura batter as one is used to. The ginger shrimp was a mixture of very large shrimp and vegetables and was right on point. We also tried one of our favorites, an appetizer of vegetable spring rolls that were perfect. Better eat in than takeout like most Asian. Sushi presentation was attractive, fresh and well prepared. The duck wraps were Large and very tasty. The Chinese side dishes I think are better than average and quite large. Too large for me. Take home definitely. Service was pleasant but a little awkward. This was my worst experience at a restaurant. We came here for lunch, granted it was Easter. It was three of us, and never in my life have I had to go get the waiter myself for anything at all. Granted- there was another waiter, whom just ignored the table completely. You'd think in restaurant service "hmm, no one has checked on that table yet- let me go see how they are" but no. Just ignored. But when other tables came in, they were tended to just fine. Maybe some slight subconscious colorism was involved there. Which I never seen or experienced at a restaurant until I came here. Large group came in after us 10-20 minutes later- was served water and drinks (mind you my family members drink which was non alcoholic wasn't out yet, had to ask again for it). Not only was the service bad, the food was worse. I've never had a dish I didn't finish. My tacos were cold, flavorless. My family member got scallops fried- said they had the consistency of rubber. It was so bad she didn't finish either, and spit out a scallop she was eating. Our order had mistakes twice, not sure if it was just a bad day or what. We were not asked how the food was, nor did the waiter ever check in period. I will say the spider roll was good, as was the crab Rangoons- and chicken fingers (basic dishes). Couple of positive things from this location. I love dessert but because the food was so bad and the service was also not good we decided not to stay and indulge. The service took so long, I ended up having to walk to the front to pay. Which is ridiculous. Like we didn't exist and were totally forgotten. The ambiance is gorgeous, the location is a nice location. But all those things mean nothing when the food, and the service does not match. Solid Asian takeout option for the family but not cheap We haven't eaten in the restaurant but have liked the pad Thai, glass noodles, eggplant and mushrooms (though the mushrooms seem to disintegrate and it was a bit oily), and various sushi. A few times they didn't get the order quite right (eg. steamed tofu, not fried) but we didn't bother to complain. Service seems friendly. The lo mein was good but the chocolate mousse cake was very poor. It was stale and had a refrigerator taint. The ice cream patty was gluey/gummy. No resemblance to ice cream. I googled "Western style desserts in Chinese restaurants." Apparently the restaurants don't sell enough chocolate or cheesecake desserts to buy high quality ingredients and store them for an elongated period of time. Lesson Learned. read more

Started off with seaweed salad and yellowtail sushi for apps then went to appetizers of pad Thai and salmon teriyaki, and finally with some vanilla/green tea mocchi. Didn't realize how big the portions were- they were huge so be aware- we took home tons of leftovers but can't complain. The last few times here have not been stellar. Food is fine but service is awful. Tonight was a server issue. We ordered our "usual". Boneless ribs for an appetizer and sesame chicken with a side of rice and cokes. After 15 minutes of watching our server go to one table at a time and ignore us, she finally came over to check on us. Then she got our drinks but served us diet cokes. We waited another 5 minutes and everything came out together, appetizer and main course, Not as planned but we did not complain. Then we got into our food. It was no longer hot and the sauce had congealed so it had been up for a while. (See the photos, you can see the sauce is thickened on the chicken). We ate it all. It was still fine, but it was more like eating leftovers rather than dining here! Food is great normally. It is not the cooks fault. My first time at Table 570 and I loved it. Went in for a dinner on a weekday and the place was nicely crowded. The staff here are extremely helpful and friendly. They have some great options for drinks. I had the barrel aged Manhattan which was delicious. Never had a barrel aged Japanese whiskey before, so that was definitely worth it. We also tried the sake flight and that was good too. The food was great, I had the vegetarian drunken noodles and my friend ordered the spicy eggplant, both the dishes were flavorful and delicious. Having dinner at Table 570 this past Easter Sunday was one of the best choices I've ever made. Going to table 570 for the very first time we were completely blown away. Walking in We were immediately greeted by the hostess and sat very quickly. Our server was Otto, very friendly and attentive to our entire group of 8. Two of us never had sushi, our server recommended a few different roles for the table, he definitely eased us into it. We started with California rolls, spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, and the two that I haven't quite decided of which are my favorite yellow and scallion or the Philadelphia roll. I can't wait to have them again. I also had the hot and sour soup which I must say was the best hot and sour soup I've ever had not only did I have one at dinner. I took two with Home and they were both gone by Monday afternoon. Can't wait to go back. After seeing Otto serve a sizzling hot plate with a generous portion of steak scallops and JUMBO shrimp I immediately knew I would need a box for leftovers. The ambiance is modern and inviting, nothing too fancy, but a perfect place to take a date or family. I always like to include the ambiance because it sets the perfect tone for a great meal. My wife and I came here, as walk in, and were promptly seated. The place was very busy so we were surprised they were able to find a place for us. I ended up getting crab ragoons and the spicy garlic. Even though it wasn't as spicy as I enjoy, the flavor and the tenderness of the beef was so freaking good. Next time I will ask for them to make it more spicy for me but other than that my meal was awesome. I do like my Rangoon's a larger and crunchier, so next time I think I'll try their wings! My wife ended up getting the gyoza, house salad (ginger dressing) and green curry. She thought the curry was different than what you'd expect from Thai places, meaning more vegetable less curry, but that's how she likes it. She said flavor was awesome all across. I was visiting my Bestie and we were having a delicious dinner at the bar of this Asian Fusion place. We saw an older couple 80ish come in and sit at the bar. He is wearing all military medals & pins proudly on his jacket and hat and I literally wanted to hug him. We watched them waiting about 15 minutes and the waitress/bartender ignored them. Table 570 is good, and both my father and I enjoy coming here for sushi when I am in the area visiting him. They have a bar area, and also a dining room that you can chose wherever you'd be most comfortable dining. The service is always good, and it never feels crowded. Just wish that the sushi and plates had a little more zing or flavor! They definitely hit the spot, but don't blow me away. The menu is huge, and truly is a fusion restaurant. Trying Table570 has been on my to-do list for quite a while, and I'm so glad I finally did. This Asian fusion restaurant was so good and something I've been looking for in the area. Their prices are extremely comparable to other Japanese/sushi/Chinese places in the area and you can get it all here - their menu is huge! We sat at a table in the bar area, since there was a wait for the main restaurant. They've got a couple TVs, a dimly-lit, cool bar vibe and a great cocktail list. I saw some scorpion bowls I had my eye on for next time. The rest of the restaurant was nicely decorated, definitely brighter but just reminded me of some of the other Japanese restaurants in the area. The food was amazing. We started with wonton soups and beef negimaki with teriyaki sauce - both were great. We then split the chicken drunken noodles, which came as a huge portion and was delicious. We wanted to try a few things so we kept ordering, although we could have been full after the drunken noodles. Then we shared two rolls - the Simsbury roll and a specialty roll they had called the New Years Eve roll (or something like that) and both were incredible. The simsbury roll is my favorite combination of things - spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, avocado, etc. Definitely worth giving it a try. The service was nothing to write home about. Our waitress mentioned they were busy, but we felt very rushed when talking to her or asking for things and found it difficult even at times to find her. One of the better Asian fusion restaurants I've ever been to. We typically do takeout, but they have a great little bar area we enjoy when we eat-in. Everything on the menu is 'solid' and the pineapple fried rice is a family go to that everyone enjoys.
