    The entrance to Taboo!

Sexy sexy! We came to Taboo for my fiancé's birthday dinner while visiting Cabo & we truly enjoyed the ambiance. The restaurant's decor is absolutely beautiful & I love their open air concept. Trust me, I had a great time taking photos in their bathroom! We started the evening with a complimentary fruit & a cheese/pepper board. We grabbed the mussels with white wine garlic sauce as our appetizer. The cocktails were refreshing and our favorite was the Red Scarlet. Our entrees consisted of lamb chops & fire roasted salmon with a side of zucchini. The portions were large & the food was flavorful. We enjoyed a light show for dessert as they presented our ricotta orange cheesecake with sparklers. It was the perfect touch to end our night! How can I forget to mention the epic saxophonist that serenaded us all evening. The service was also very professional. I would totally recommend visiting Taboo while in Cabo!

Overratttttted. The only good thing about this place was our servers Brandon & Chris Service was EXTREMELY slow and I could count how many people were there on 2 hands . So it didn't make any sense . Ordered hookah - took FOREVER to come. The food was NOT good to me. Ordered the lamb, tuna tartare, and feta cheese - NONE of it was impressive & I sent the tuna back. The feta cheese was just 2 blocks of cheese with spaghetti sauce. Oh & you have to pay for water. They bring it like it's free but charge you on the check at the end. Like - seriously , disappointed with the whole experience. Low light, QR code menu, slow service, chill vibe. Overall - wouldn't go back or recommend. Again though, our servers were really nice!

Shhh Come read this review... Sooo... This is a hotel but its also a restaurant amongst other things. When you walk upstairs you can see a view of the ocean where Taboo is located. The hostesses and our servers were extremely nice. We didnt have to wait for anything. I told the waiter I was vegan and he brought me a pita board on the house. I couldnt even eat the vegan risotto, I was already full. There is a dj in the middle of the pool and he played all types of music. They also have dancers in white to help lift the mood and get people to join in. There is another bar down where the beach is so you can definitely come with your swim attire on.

I visited Taboo on a Saturday evening with two friends. We made our reservation months in advance, so when we arrived, we were seated promptly. I highly recommend making a reservation because the restaurant was packed when we arrived, and even with a reservation, we were seated at a table at the edge of the restaurant (which is not where you want to be at a restaurant like this). The restaurant is located on the first floor of a hotel/resort, they picked a great location and built/decorated this restaurant perfectly. It is beautiful and the vibes are great. It's not too expensive, but the price you pay is well worth it - just for the experience alone. I ordered the vegan risotto and vegan burger, both of which were amazing! I ordered two items because I thought the plates would be tapas style (small) and boy was I wrong. Portions are HUGE, one plate is definitely enough for one person (and this is coming from someone who can EAT). Overall, this was an amazing experience. This is a good place to celebrate a birthday or special event. I recommend visiting the restaurant at night, fireworks are at 9:00PM. I'm docking a star because as we were eating, a conga line formed around the restaurant and our waiter repeatedly prompted us to join the line, sure enough, as soon as we did, he quickly cleared our table to prepare to seat the next party. I thought that was really shady because we clearly were not done, nevertheless, I would return.

This place is a vibe , the food is amazing . They put on a show with the saxophone and violinist . Everyone gets up starts dancing . Such a great place to have dinner at .

My girlfriends and I went here for dinner and it was a total vibe!!! We ordered the Taboo Salad, Branzino Fillet and and the Seafood Spaghetti. Everything was amazing but the seafood spaghetti was average. Definitely, wouldn't order it again. The red Scarlett was really sweet so I ordered a margarita which was okay. The live saxophonist was a great addition to the show. There is a show when ordering the branzino and tomahawk. Service was amazing. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. Definitely will be back.

The location of this restaurant is really good. It's right by the beach with access to go down to the beach. The interior decorations were very pretty. There are a lot of picturesque photo opportunities around this restaurant as well. The food itself was underwhelming. The burger is an overpriced regular burger. The potatoes were undercooked. The pasta was okay. One of the clams were unopened so that was a bit disappointing too.

First time here and walking into the hotel was an amazing experience with just the view of the ocean and famous arches. After checking in we headed down to the restaurant/beach club for dinner. We were a group of 7 women celebrating a bachelorette. Make a reservation!! It's important!! We had one thankfully. The ambiance was awesome. I felt like I was in Tulum. The service was great. Everyone was very attentive to our group. The decor was beautiful and the dj kept playing super chill music. Later at night they added a saxophone player to play with the dj. That made it fun as the saxophone player walked around and played to all the guests. Lots of photo opportunities all around. Food: Everything we ate was great! From the complimentary gazpacho to the fancy drinks.

Visited this location on a Wednesday from 5-9PM! It was pretty empty during our visit so unfortunately we weren't able to get the full experience. It was 8 of us and we were seated quickly and easily at a large sectional couch table which was perfect for the vibes we were looking for. As a group, we ordered bottles and hookahs and the service was awesome. The severs were very attentive and took care of our every need, even charging my phone for me during our visit. The bathrooms were also kept clean and very spacious. The aesthetics and views were beautiful but I wish we had came on a better day!

Such a fun experience! The atmosphere is great and food was incredible. Highly recommend the meatballs, sweat potato, and carrot cake.

Taboo.... I'll be back! Delicious food, sexy atmosphere, FUN FUN FUN! Taboo has incredible craft cocktails, delicious food, live saxophone, sparklers, free gazpacho (?), hookah, fire!, spectacular service... everything you could want and need. Enjoy.

Feels like you are eating in a club (in a good way). We went for dinner and there was a Dj with live violin and saxophone players. Food was delicious. Oysters were humongous. Steak was wonderful. We were constantly checked on and the wait staff was great. They also had fireworks in the middle of service which was pretty cold. Overall, if you're looking to party with great food and have $$ to spend, I would definitely go!

Taboo is the restaurant that services the pool at ME Cabo. Although the food is tasty and good quality for poolside eats, there were some issues with service. My group was there from Saturday to Saturday, and we didn't get ANY service until Monday, and this was bc we waved someone down. Mimi was very friendly and helpful. She continued to help us that day and the day after. She must've been off Wednesday bc we then had bad service AGAIN until Thursday, when Brandon and Glen helped us. All three were on top of their game and we appreciated their help, but the days they were not there, it was a nightmare trying to get service. We ended up buying our own wine, champagne, alcohol and just mixed it by the pool. No one cared. We saved money (drinks are SOOOO expensive - $20). I bet the service at the restaurant is good, but if you're sitting by the pool, good luck unless you are buying bottle service. Overall, their saving grace for a decent review is bc of Glen, Brandon and Mimi. They were all very great, when present.

Prices were also much more reasonable. We talked to the person in front of the restaurant because he was actually polite and not pushy like all the other "sales" guys on the Marina. He told us about the different options they have for cooking fresh caught fish. We caught a nice yellow fin tuna the day before and the restaurants offerings sounded pretty good. We gave them our fish, and chose to have them make the tuna 3 ways. They brought out complimentary pistachio bread with olive oil and vinegar as well as pita bread and garlic hummus. Both were pretty good, but nothing amazing. After that, our first tuna course came out. It was a crudo style dish with Parmesan cheese, capers, and a vinaigrette. It was absolutely delicious and i was very surprised that the cheese went with the fresh tuna. I am usually opposed to pairing dairy with my seafood. But this just worked and I could have eaten the entire tuna prepared this way. Then came a grilled preparation of the tuna with a light tomato, zucchini, and olive sauce. It was paired with a Bulgar wheat salad and a beet salad. The beets were just average, but the Bulgar wheat was a perfect pairing with the fish. Lastly, we had a pan cooked tuna with a balsamic onion sauce. We though that the sauce was a bit heavy and over-powered the fish, but it was still delicious nonetheless. It came with a green salad and a garlic mashed potatoes and those were good but nothing amazing. This place did not have the crowds of the tourist traps, but more people should be eating here instead of the Americanized nachos and quesadillas at the other restaurants on the Marina. True, this place is not authentic Mexican either, but its a great change of pace from the other Marina spots.

It was just me and my husband, but there were quite a few larger groups dining while we were here. The service is wonderful. We had two main waiters, both of whom were kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The cocktails and the wine we ordered were wonderful. I really loved the cocktail we ordered! Our dining experience was nice, but the food we ordered was just okay. I wouldn't call it some of the best of Cabo. Of our six dinners in Cabo, I would say it was probably our second to least favorite. But, that's not saying it was bad! It just wasn't on par with the other restaurants we dined at. First, I told the restaurant both when I made the reservation and when two different people at the restaurant inquired about food restrictions that I could not have cheese. The first thing served to us - an amuse bouche - was heavy on the cheese. It was a rather large ravioli, which was much larger than a normal amuse bouche -- and it had cheese inside the ravioli, a cheesy sauce, and cheese grated on top. So I could not eat a bite of it. My husband said it was just okay. The best thing we ordered here was the aguachile. It was beautiful, colorful, artfully presented, and absolutely delicious. So fresh, and well prepared. Loved it! Our main courses, however, were a little disappointing. They tasted fine, but ate more like the kind of main course you would order at a chain Italian restaurant in the US: heavy, chewy, and generic. But my personal saddest moment was when the churros arrived. I love churros, so very much. These looked beautiful, but when my husband and I cut into ours, they were all raw on the inside. So the flavor outside was delicious but we couldn't eat more than the ends of the churros. Overall, I enjoyed the experience of dining at Casa Martin... I just wish the food was better. I am hoping it was just an off night, and I look forward to revisiting this restaurant on a future visit to Cabo and hopefully having a better meal (but the aguachile was seriously so good - order that!).

Ambiance: The restaurant is located right next to the beach nestled with two other restaurants. It was a bit windy, but it was an incredible view for us (see photo). Staff: From the hostess to our server, the wait staff was incredible! Lots of personality & friendliness the whole dining experience! Dining: We ordered: -Maze (baba ghanoush, hummus, jacoque with chipotle & pita bread) ***The Maze was very nice. Three distinct flavors that were all incredible. However, the pita left a lot to be desired. It was too thick...almost like a shortbread. Don't think that you will get an actual pita bread...it was not that at all. Now, it was still edible & paired nicely with the three dips, but it is not pita. -Falafel with Greek Sauce Yoghurt ***The falafel was very nice & paired nicely with the yoghurt! There was a small pile of green salad as well. -Chicken Shwarma with coleslaw salad & potato & garlic dressing ***I do not recommend this dish. The chicken was not seasoned & the coleslaw did not have enough bite. The tortilla it was wrapped in was also just very average. The dressing was not "garlicky" enough either. This is not your traditional Shawarma you would get from "Halal Guys" for example. -Lamb & Beef Kofta with greek yoghurt dressing & curry ***This was incredibly delicious! The Kofta was seasoned to perfection & was cooked perfectly! It had the same yoghurt dressing as the falafel & unfortunately the same green salad on the side. So, I'll take a little bit off of that, but I definitely recommend the Kofta! -Arabic Sweets Trilogy (baklava, bridal fingers, & graibes) ***I really wanted the trilogy, but unfortunately they only had the baklava. This was their interpretation, but it was good! It was crispy & flaky as it should be & they paired it with a nice vanilla bean ice cream. Since they did not have the trilogy, they brought out two plates with two pieces of baklava on each plate to make up for not having the trilogy. Thanks for trying to make it right! Overall, I'd recommend with the caveats above in mind. The location is beautiful...we watched the sunset fall over the boats in the harbor...breathtaking!
