The struggle is finally OVER. I have found a place in Glendale/Phoenix that does Mexican food right!! Though it's a bit diff from what I'm used to, this place is unique in its own way. Order first, get your food, eat, then pay. Though I paid before I ate since I'm used to that. Each worker at the counter took individual orders so there wasn't a single line system going on there too. I was so happy to see a great salsa bar. I was also happy to see their burritos were being wrapped in foil (it's not a thing in Phoenix to wrap your burrito in foil (from my experience)). What you get is a cheap taco w only meat on top then you add your own onions/cilantro, and salsas. All on a small styrofoam tray. This is the same for all their menu items. Their burritos are only meat, beans and cheese. No rice. Their quesadilla is only meat and cheese. Amazing. Add as much as you want from that salsa bar. They also had lettuce, peppers and limes. I loved coming here and I can't wait to come back for some great Mexican food!! Yay! read more

The taste reminds me of what you get at rocky point, as authentic as you'll get this side of the wall. They use Angus beef and the seasoning is spot on. Obsessed with this taco place! They have the best al pastor tacos and their beans are sooooo tasty and have a little kick in them! I also tried their bean and cheese burrito which was yummy! Their horchata is very flavorful and has the perfect amount of sweetness. This place is definitely always packed every time I come here so make sure you're not in a rush. I swear I have taken a picture of my mixto (carne asada and al pastor) burro. Maybe I gobbled them up greedily before batting an eyelash because they are so good. Solid protein, no fillers. This is the best taco place we have found so far. We ordered the asada plate. It came with chorizo flavored refried beans. So delicious. We also ordered tripita, pastor and asada tacos. The tortillas are small but it's a double tortilla taco so it's perfect to hold all the toppings you put. I really like the salsa bar. The salsas are spicy but not too bad. Besides... a salsa should be hot. I also ordered a steak quesadilla and the flavor and crisp factor were on point. The only gripe is that today was too cold to eat outside and there were no seats left inside. However, they do have outdoor heaters. I got 3 carne asada tacos on corn tortillas (I noticed here in Phoenix, they give you the option most places..corn or flour) and I got a small carne asada caramelo (quesadilla/mulita). My friend got some carne asada tacos and some lengua I think. We had Mexican Cokes to drink. Quick rundown on how everything was............... Carne Asada Tacos ($2.00)- Legit. The carne asada was cooked over charcoal and had good flavor to it. Minimal gristle/fat which was nice. They come plain on double layered corn tortillas. I topped mine with some onion/cilantro mix and some hot sauce. They were pretty good...best carne asada tacos I have had so far in Phoenix. Caramelo ($2.50) - This was a mini quesadilla with carne asada. It was filling and delicious. Same good carne asada and a good helping of cheese. I would definitely get one again. They have a larger size too (probably in a flour tortilla) for like $5.00. Total for everything was around $20.00. My friend bought me lunch which was awesome and much appreciated! I even scored an extra taco because she couldn't eat her last one. When it comes to an additional taco, don't have to tell me twice...ate that sucka in 10 seconds flat! I could see myself coming back. This was the closest thing yet to reminding me of Tacos El Gordo or Tacos El Poblano in SD. The guys working there were friendly and personable. Finally, we found our local taco spot! It's been so hard to find good tacos in the Phoenix area. We got the 1 pound family platter with half asada and half pastor. $27 plus tax and tip. The portions were more than ample for our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids under 8). The meat was not overly greasy or overly salty. You can choose between corn and flour tortillas. They gave about 15 corn tortillas. Each corn tortilla is 2 small corn tortillas attached together, which is what you traditionally use for tacos. If you really want to make the meat stretch, you can gently peel apart the tortillas, so you have about 30 corn tortillas. That was what we did, because we like to put less meat in each taco and then stuff the taco with the fresh vegetables (onions, cilantro, pico de gallo, cabbage). The acidity of the lime juice and salsa on top of each taco cuts any grease of the meat, and the meal feels somewhat healthy. The condiment bar provided ample fresh onions, cilantro, limes, pico de gallo, pickled onions, cabbage, pickled carrots, cucumbers, and a variety of salsas. A great meal at a great deal! read more
