Delicious burgers!!! Fried pickles are done just right and go excellent with their beers on tap. The waitress gets busy so have patience or just mosey up to the bar and get her attention. Gotta give Tack Shed a huge shoutout. They have the best food around!!! I've had nearly everything I'm their menu and loved it all. They have Taco Tuesday and Wing Wednesday. Both specialties are delicious!!! I especially love their tacos!!! There burgers and French dips are also absolutely delectable!!! The drinks are great and fairly priced and the staff is excellent!!! They make you feel welcomed!! It's always good to check for live music on the weekends also they get great bands in. 2000 miles, 4 states, we were hungry. Enter the ugly bikers. We sat down and immediately started doing what we do. Beers and whiskey. The owner comes over and gives us the rap about the bar and food. We like her already, she's confident and feisty. We each order something unique, giving her hell, and she's giving it right back. The food? FANTASTIC! Nothing ready-made at all. That being said, this was the best bacon cheeseburger I've had after 1 month on the road and trying to find a decent cheeseburger in every town. Oh man, I never turn down a good old fashioned dive-bar/restaurant on a road trip - it rarely disappoints. I was going to order the Callahan when the bartender pointed out that soup to nuts it came out to nearly a 5-lb plate (good Lord!). The Barn Yard is the mere mortal's equivalent, which is what I happily went with along with an order of the fries. Yeah, every review is spot on. It's one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The fries are made on the spot and come with a side of their house ranch dressing which is amazing. Just a perfect combo. Also folks, it's rural Arizona so it shouldn't come as a surprise that the bar leans conservative. I wouldn't let that stop you from what's going to be your best bet between LA and Flagstaff. read more

This place is our Go-to when we have to stop for the night in Kingman. So far we've had the wings (which are $0.50 on Wednesday), tacos on Tuesday (1.50 ea, I recommend the chicken), and my favorite is the chicken strip basket. The fries are so good! I've heard their 1/2 lb burger huge and awesome, next time I will give it a try. They have free pool and Karaoke on Tuesdays. They have karaoke another night but I'm not sure which one. Gave this another try over the weekend. The first time I visited me and my mom were ignored and after about 10 to 15 minutes of waiting we left. This time it still took the waitress a bit of time to acknowledge us and bring over a menu. She was nice but definitely not very experienced as a waitress. Me and my mom decided to share the beef dip and get a side order of fried zucchini. After we ordered we were informed that they were out of zucchini so were changed to fried mushrooms. When our soft drinks came they didn't taste quite right. What was supposed to be Dr. Pepper tasted more like a fruity tea. The waitress politely got me a replacement drink. Which was just okay. I think the syrup mixture on their soda machine needs calibrated or something. The beef dip was decent but nothing to write home about. I thought it was weird that they served the Au Jus in a tall metal cup. It made it really hard to dip the sandwich in. I did like their round fries. The fried mushrooms came out very hot so we had to let the cool down. They were okay but I think the batter could have used a little more seasoning. The ranch it came with was good. The question I ask myself after trying somewhere new is would I return. I would have to say no. After tasting the food it is nothing to write home about and I just think that a lot of drunk people must have given the tack shed a bunch of 5 star reviews. read more

My Daughter and I, like to do a Mother Daughter lunch or dinner a couple of times a month. After looking at all the yelp reviews we decided to check out the Tack Shed. We came through the door and sat down at a table and noticed they weren't that busy, maybe 15 to 18 people in the whole place. Long story short.... after approximately 10 minutes, (again they were not busy) my daughter and I felt completely invisible. Nobody even slightly acknowledged we were there. We actually felt dumb just sitting there. We were totally ready to support a local business, but that was REDICULIOUS. Clean as a whistle and scrumptious food! Our vehicle broke down right around the corner from this jewel of a place. When you first get there it definitely looks like a dive but actually I think it was meant to look like a horse and tackle store, hence its name. When you walk into this place it first appears to be your typical dive bar. But the burgers and wings and beer are phenomenal. I had an IPA and a Dunkel and they were both very tasty. I also ate the wings and they were delicious and the mushrooms were scrumptious my friend had the burger and he loved it. The bartender was also our server and she was pretty busy at the bar so we didn't get perfect service but the owner of the bar was there and he waited on us. Also really nice fellow. The only negative was the bathrooms were a little bit older and could use an update but not worthy enough to give anything less than a 5 star! My friend mentioned that something was wrong with his soda and they immediately corrected it, turns out the carbonation machine wasn't working properly and they brought him a huge glass of Coca-Cola. So if you're looking for a very casual place with decent & friendly service delicious food and a fun place to hang out you found the right place! read more

The staff were helpful and courteous, the burgers were very good. The ambiance was typical dive bar, which I love. My only negative comments are: 1: advertising your political leanings are unnecessary. When the country is currently this divided it can discourage customers if you advertise your political beliefs. 2: Adjusting the volume of the speakers to the number of customers would be appreciated. Overall, I really like the Tack Shed. We planned to go back for dinner tonight but they were unfortunately closed. read more
