It ended up being the best decision we made all night. Emily, our server, was nice, attentive, and took great care of us. The food was just as fresh and delicious as at the taco stand at the QNM. The purple corn tortillas were incredible, the chicken was hot, juicy, and flavorful, the steak was delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the mushroom taco. The restaurant has a fun, authentic Mexican vibe with colorful décor, a great playlist that really adds to the atmosphere, and it's honestly a cute spot if you want to snap a few photos. Everything was made fresh, and we'll definitely be back!

Also, the fryin cheese did not suit the soup at all- Oaxaca cheese tastes so much better with this type of soup & this is the only Mexican spot I know that uses something other than Oaxaca cheese. Needless to say, it did not work & rubbery cheese in soup is not it. I thought that maybe the soup from this place was a one off so I also ordered a couple tamales from here on a separate occasion as well. Unfortunately it was not a one off as the tamales were super dry & almost inedible because of that. I won't be returning back. Tamales super dry

No police in sight. You got the drunchies (drunk munchies) - so you decide to grab grub at the only place open at night ... This damn taco truck. Been coming here weekly till I was diagnosed with a fatty liver. Now I come here monthly. My friends enjoy their tacos. Some prefer the tortas (sandwich). I on the other hand, prefer the tostadas. It's 2 for $7. I'm getting one chicken and one salted beef. I ask for everything. "Make it spicy boss", I say. Roughly 7 minutes later, the guy in the truck is calling me telling me my orders ready. I proceed to ask for more hot sauce on the side. (If you're not getting the runs the following morning, is it really true Mexican food? Think about that). These guys have been here for years & recipe never changes. Tip: I prefer to pickup rather than order delivery because when you deliver sometimes they do take a while. Nonetheless, tasty. Bomb. Mexican. Authentic. Orale guey.

The truck is conveniently parked in front of a Rite-aid and Bank of America and Chase are a few feet away. Come try.

Either way it took under 10 minutes for our tacos on a zero below weather night, how could you not tip! They take venmo! Loved that for them. Everything was very fresh and tasty. Pretty much any and everything here is a hit so depending on your level of hunger the tacos, a sandwich, burrito, quesadilla, or nachos all make for good options. I'm a big fan of the alambre sandwich generously filled with chicken, al pastor, steak, green pepper, onions, and cheese and topped with chipotle mayo, avocado, and lettuce and the steak burrito smelled so good that I couldn't wait to get home and start on it so I took Queens Blvd all the way home and couldn't wait for red lights so I could savor another bite. A shining Sunnyside gem with top quality eats for late night cravings! Highly recommended!

We ordered the dan dan noodles for an appetizer, chewy noodles and good flavor. Then we had the custom dry pot (we put chicken, tofu, Napa and Choy medium spicy) that came out tasty and fast. And finally we ordered the crispy fish which was HUGE but crunchy and flavorful - definitely more food than we expected but it's okay! Servers were friendly and even though there was an error in our order they were quick and ways to fix. The restaurant is small and hole in the wall, feels authentic. AC wasn't on so a little warm with all this spicy food but overall will definitely come back with friends and family.

The restaurant is a few blocks from the main street of Steinway so it'll take a bit of searching. Going inside, the area is rather abstract. Pink flower wallpaper on one end and dry wall on the other, it's kinda off-putting but I didn't come here for the atmosphere anyway. Service was lukewarm, I got my order in but the two workers inside weren't too receptive and the menu itself is kinda barebones with most of their food being a bit more than I would like to pay for so I just settled on one order of Singapore Mei Fun. After waiting 10 minutes for my food to arrive, the Singapore noodles which are usually spicy were kinda salty but it was nothing a bit of duck sauce wouldn't fix. This one order cost $17 while not the worst Singapore Mei Fun...well technically it is, even though it's not horrible but I've had much better from other places for a stable price of $12. Yeah, a rather disappointing visit. Not the worst I've ever had but could be so much better.
