It felt like an egg salad with added delicious meat patty. I was very happy that we got to choose three different things. The service was very nice as well. I mentioned to him oh but the sign & online says this price but you say it's this price? He goes oh we have to change online ordering prices & the sign. Finding this place was challenging. It's not on the main boulevard but a few yards from the corner so you'll need GPS assistance to get to it with no issue. It's also a bit on the small side but I'm guessing it's tailor-made for outside dining so it has that aesthetic going for it. The woman behind the register taking orders was very courteous and very patient with me because this is the first Brazilian spot I went to that isn't a dedicated buffet. I ordered some food that came up to almost $30 and it sure did come up with a lot of food. Even the Empanadas were larger than usual so I guess you certainly get what you paid for. No complaints about the food whatsoever. The Grilled chicken I had was surprisingly juicy and tender. It even came with fries and a side salad, which caught me off guard because the menu didn't specify what sides it came with so I thought it was just the meat which prompted me to order some rice and beans on the side so I basically had an entree with 3 sides and 2 Empanadas. Despite the heavy amount of food I unwittingly ordered, all of it was great and it didn't feel like a chore eating it all. The service woman cleaned my table after I was done, asked how I liked my meal and even requested a dessert. The coxinha is pretty good. The other salgados are mid. I always order on Uber Eats and put a very clear note about the juice (suco de caju) being too watery the past times I've ordered and not enough sugar. Being I'm just craving things from Brasil I still ordered it in hopes they would fix it bc it's such a easy thing to fix but they did not it's the exact same so prob won't be ordering again. I'm like a loyal costumer too so just sucks when a lot of the Brazilian places just so clearly half ass things idk it ain't that hard to make suco de caju... Had this place bookmarked for a while after seeing a post about the Pao de queijo and finally was in the area today so grabbed some! Tiny spot with convenient window ordering. I got a bag of 6 for $7 and they were delicious and warm! Flavorful and rubbery but in a good way that just felt like a treat and a pastry filled with gooey cheese. This restaurant is super cute and authentic! It's a restaurant but they have a window where you can order from outside if you are just taking it to go. It was a freezing day, but there is a protection over the window area to keep people warm. There was a man and a woman inside the kitchen. The man immediately came to the window as I walked up. I ordered the Pão de queijo, or Brazilian cheese bread. They had a deal of 7 for $5. He said they were currently baking them Alf it would take 5 minutes, and asked if I'd be willing to wait. He offered me to sit inside while I waited. Inside the restaurant was very welcoming. It's a small place, but it had a home-y feeling. The tables were wooden and there were a lot of plants around on the walls. My order came very quick, actually. I was expecting it to take much longer than it did. I had a taste for empanadas. Went there for the first time. They have a lot of great food options with seating. First off, I wasn't really certain what the establishment was at first from walking past on the opposite side of the street. It wasn't really clear, so I crossed the street the next time in passing. Ok so back to it. When I placed my order he asked if I wanted the traditional? I asked what other type you have and he explained. So I am curious and greedy and opted for the other. It was delicious. So upset I only ordered one because I am cautious when trying new things. I will go back this evening. I will tell you it is in the window top shelf. I order beef the taste was mouth watering. A filling, charming experience overall. Staff was nice, and there was indoor and outdoor seating available. Decent food, but not stellar-- I can't really put my finger on why, but it might be because my expectations were high going in. It is slightly pricier than what I feel like I got, and I would definitely check Seated or other apps to see if they're running a promo. The pao de queijo, their namesake, definitely lives up to its reputation being so fluffy and delicious with the sauce. Just arrived in NYC and very hungry. Looked for a place that was quick to get a bite to eat. Stumbled upon this cute bakery that serves breakfast sandwiches and lunch. I ordered the Brazilian hot chocolate and breakfast sandwich. The breakfast sandwich usually comes with eggs over easy but they were accommodating and willing to scramble my eggs. I ordered a Brazilian hot dog. I guess I was expecting something similar to a Colombian style hot dog, but what I received were cheap quality sliced hot dogs with canned tomato sauce, canned corn?? And what I assume to be some random soggy potato sticks on some dry bread. Looks can be deceiving so I did take one bite and I regretted it. I threw it away, it's probably the most disgusting thing I've had... seriously who even uses cheap store bought hot dogs. I'm completely shocked that this item made it on a restaurant menu... I've come here quite a few times, and first time I'm leaving a review. They charge $1.25 for credit card use. All of the burgers/sandwiches have been delicious and are fairly similar to each other when it comes to the main ingredients (beef, lettuce, potato sticks, corn) - for example, the X Brazil ($16.50) and the X tudo are go-tos. If you dine in, they have green mayo in a bottle that you are going to want on your burger - so good. It's $0.50 extra if you want takeout, which I still opted for and they gave me 2 as a nice surprise. I've also gotten their mini pao de queijo ($4 for 7 pieces) which is usually not served warm, so I'd take it home and heat it up yourself in a toasted oven. I also have gotten the coxinha (potato, cheese, chicken) and yuca croquette with chicken - both were good, and the chicken was nicely juicy; both are $4 each. The yuca croquette did get a bit nauseating after a few bites because it was a bit too rich with the cheese and the fried yuca. read more

I am so happy I found an authentic Brazilian cafe in the neighborhood. It's a cozy little spot tucked away in a street corner, but boy do they make some delicious empanadas. Flan with chocolate cake - flan was delicious but had to eat it separately from the cake which was too dense and sweet for me. I liked the Yuka beef -it was crunchy outside but with the soft yuka around the beef. the filling did not hold together though and kept falling out. I absolutely love this place and if I am in queens, I will either go there to eat or order in. Their Yucca chicken coxinha is one of my faves. And I recently found out their burgers are bomb. Pave de Nutella doesn't have a lot of Nutella in it but it's still pretty tasty, not sure I would get that again though. read more

Decided to get an empanada and a smoothie to complement the sunny weather outside. The empanada selection wasn't very extensive but they had meat and vegetarian options. The empanada itself came piping hot (be careful of the oil that will drip out!)..the crust was flaky and not super oily. The filling itself felt a bit sparse and kind of bland. Kind of tasted like some sauteed ground beef inserted in puff pastry. I got the verano smoothie which had coconut and pineapple. The portion size was generous, and I liked that the drink didn't taste like it had a ton of added sugar. The subtle sweetness was very much appreciated.
