Very nice interior design with friendly, and helpful staff to help you place your order. I was very excited to try something different and hoped that Taco Bamba would be a hit bit it wasn't. Unfortunately, they missed the mark for me. The food combinations with the toppings and sausage were a big NO. Some things just don't go together and some things make food salter than they need to be.

Visiting friend in DC, during lunch time and was getting so hungry. Not familiar with the area nothing better than to check out places on Yelp. This place came highly recommended. It did not disappoint. Got to taste some amazing flavor combinations. When in DC check out Taco Bamba. Staff were super friendly & ambiance was upbeat. Easy parking. Judging on how busy they were the Yelp reviews were on the mark!

I've had catering from this spot many times for work and till date it's one of my tacos catering place. Personally, I've also had takeout from here multiple times. Each time they'll gift a recycle tote bag and I've collected many of them. Today, I got the World Cup specials package which comprises 12 tacos-- al pastor, Baja fish, chorizo and roasted lamb, rice, pinto beans, guacamole and chips etc. My fave tacos are the Baja fish and grilled shrimp. Definitely will come again and again.

Discovered this hidden gem while in the Herndon area on business. What a great find! The smell of delicious food as soon as you walk in is fantastic. The restaurant has wonderful décor and theming. The staff was amazing, and the young lady at the counter kindly answered all my questions. I just wish I remembered her name. I went at 2:00 p.m. for a late lunch, and let me tell you, the place was packed! You can tell the locals love this spot. I ordered two tacos: birria and carnitas. The birria was really good, and wow, do they load those tacos....there was a ton of meat on them. The carnitas taco was phenomenal. It also had plenty of meat, and the flavor was fantastic. Ten out of ten. There was a guy handing out samples of a new seasonal offering, chili con queso. It was delicious and absolutely perfect for a cold, windy day. I regret not ordering a bowl to take back to the hotel. It was THAT good. Congratulations, Taco Bamba, you're now on my favorites list in the area! I'm flying to Nashville in a month and will definitely try their location there.

For a chain, I think this place is pretty good. Loved the lamb quesadillas but the lamb was too gamey for me. The staffs were super nice. Overall, a pretty good experience

They're always a solid choice for tacos around here. Whether it's breakfast tacos which are realllyyyyy goood, or lunch/dinner. The service can be a bit slow, it just depends on how busy it is. I try not to go when they first open and when it's lunch time. It's a casual spot so no dressing up necessary. My go to is normally: The Jeffries (appetizer fried goodness) with a side of Queso 5/5 The Migas breakfast taco 5/5 Bacon Egg & Cheese Empanada 5/5 OG Breakfast taco 5/5 Carne Picado 5/5 Camaron 4/5 Polo Al Carbon 4/5 Barbaco 3/5 Guacamole & Chips 5/5 Queso 4/5

The tacos were really good, solid 4 stars. The service was terrible, we sat at the bar, bartender was a real hard C. She refused to acknowledge us. We were about to walk out after 5" but an off duty employee, also sitting at the bar, told the bartender we needed some service. The bartender tossed some menus at us without a word. Then came back and slapped some water down and walked away. Had to ask for a rag to wipe the bar where we sat, she rolled her eyes at us and wet a paper towel to wipe part of the counter, then handed it to us to finish the job. We again contemplated going elsewhere but she came back and took our order so we stuck around. Hoping the bartender was just having a bad day.

Remembered that I liked this place. Decided to get an Oaxacan Old Fashioned. Asked the bartender to make it mezcal forward. Came out fantastic! Tacos were just OK. Lots of food. Chicharones came out cold and the bartender immediately sent them back. Music was loud for a restaurant mid day.

I had heard good things about Taco Bamba. This past Saturday, we decided to give them a try. Before going, we looked at their menu online, which was a good thing to do as their menu is large. When we arrived there, we knew what we were going to order. There is a counter at one end of the place (on the right as you enter) for ordering food. The woman working there was very nice and took the time to repeat our order back to us before we paid. To pick up your order, go to the other end of the counter. They will call out your number on your receipt when it is ready. When we went, it wasn't very busy. Many place their orders before coming here. Some, like us, order when we arrive. We ordered 1 "migas taco" which is a "breakfast taco". It consists of: "soft, cheesy, scrambled eggs, chips, crema, pico de gallo". Also, we got 1 "chorizo taco" which comes with Mexican pork sausage plus a corn tortilla, onion and cilantro. Finally, we got "Bambas wings" and shared an order which consists of" 1/2 dozen crispy grilled wings (for our sauce on the wings we chose chili garlic butter), served with poblano sauce." To drink, we shared a bottle of water. As for the ambiance---Someone said in their review that this place is located in the old Chuckie E Cheese spot. That's incorrect. It's located at the corner of the row of stores/restaurants where Hama Sushi is. Plus, it's next door to Giant. The place is cavernous. Loud music plays in the background making for a noisy environment. It's not the place to sit and have a conversation. For that, there is outdoor seating. As for the food---I ate the migas taco and it was okay. I didn't see any chips in it. Nor did I see any crema. It was decent and the pico de gallo added some nice flavor to it. My husband said his taco was...well...kind of meh. The chorizo was in small pieces which kept falling out of the taco. The Bamba wings were our favorite item. The wings were meaty, moist and flavorful. The chili garlic butter tasted more of chili with barely a hint of garlic. They were served hot and well spiced without being overbearing. This wasn't an expensive meal. It cost $22.26 before the tip. One thing to take note of----each Taco Bamba has a different menu. Some tacos that are available at one location, may not be available at another location. If you look online for the menu, be sure to click on the menu for the location you're planning to try.

I've been to this restaurant a number of times at this specific location. I've always ordered to go. I must say that I've tried just about everything on the menu. My favorite is the taco Bomba and the Arriba tacos stand out neither of them are really spicy, but the amount of meat is very impressive. The beef and the chicken. I've also had the chips and salsa, which is excellent and I've also had their wings. The wings are truly amazing. I must also say that that the go packaging and specifically the new to go bags are the best in the takeout business for any restaurant!!!! The restrooms are always clean and they also have a number of sauces to put on the tacos mild medium and hot. The seating area is neat and organized. The bar area is spacious for seating. They always do a very heavy business in takeout orders and specifically with the delivery services. The time to get your food is lengthy although I guess it's a good sign because they are very popular and everyone else is happy with the food as well.

And, I'm not sure if this place serves the best tacos on the planet, but I can say that they certainly serve the best tacos that I've ever had! I came here just after flying into Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), nonstop from Los Angeles (LAX). I hadn't eaten since I was in Los Angeles because I refuse to eat that terrible airplane food. Needless to say, I was pretty hungry by the time I arrived. I walked in without a reservation, at about 9pm, and they appeared to be moderately busy. Shortly after entering a friendly hostess guided me to a comfortable booth. As I looked around this business, I was immediately pleased with the "cool vibe" that this place had. Several folks were either dining together or socializing at the bar. My immediate thought was that this would be a really pleasant place to take someone special on a date. Shortly after being seated, a waitress stopped by my table and introduced herself. Her name was Alayna. Seeing that I was new to this restaurant, she quickly went over the menu and other details unique to this restaurant. She was also careful to ask if I had any food allergies, because a lot of folks have these. I told her how much I appreciated her focus on this because two of my kids have food allergies that I have to watch out for. I ordered a pomegranate limonada to drink, which was incredibly refreshing. For my first round of tacos, I ordered the "baja fish" taco, the "roasted duck" taco, and the "sesame ribeye" taco. For my second round, I ordered the "carne asada" taco, the "yukatán shrimp" taco, and the "crispy oyster" taco. And boy, these tacos not only satisfied my hunger, they were all absolutely delicious! Throughout my experience here, Alayna was incredibly professional, attentive, and pleasant. If you're ever in the Reston area, I would highly recommend that you stop by here for a meal. This was a solid five-star experience!

Good for small groups but a bit cramped inside & outside. Very accommodating & helpful staff. Great service. Yummy drinks. You won't leave broke or hungry unless you choose to. The food & drinks may not look fancy, but their flavors are satisfying and hit the spot. The meats were seasoned well and you don't need a lot piled onto these small street tacos. They warn you that you'll probably need to order at least two or three tacos for a meal. Food comes out pretty fast, so you can keep on ordering if you have room for more! Fish, pork, chicken, shrimp, beef... they're all good. You can't go wrong. Lots of other options if tacos aren't your thing. Again, Don't expect art on a plate...more like grub on a tray...but also don't expect to go broke after indulging in a good meal. This was an absolutely unexpected delightful experience after another disappointing experience at the expensive peruvian joint across the street. Let's just say, bartaco exceeded expectations after a last-minute change of venue and came through for us with flying colors. Way to go, bartaco Reston! You've won my business with excellence in service (our server & their team was soooooo cool!), yummy eats & drinks, and wahooo...you make pups feel at home, too! Couldn't have asked for a better first experience. I'm drooling just thinking about their tacos ...
