As others have said in their reviews, this location can be very sluggish during rush hour/peak times. You will be looking at a 20-40 minute wait in the drive-thru. Sometimes, you just wanna get yer grub on, and don't live someplace convenient where tasty places are open after 11pm, even on Fridays at times. Soooooooo...you do what I did, you call, find a place that's open, and head on down the road. In this case, it was Taco Bell. I often nickname it Taco Hell, but they usually have some semi-tasty things and it "quells the beast". This time, it was at least Taco "Heck" if not Hell... I received a coupon in the mail and went to this store to use it. Instead of just taking it and giving me the price on the coupon, the (sorry, I'm gonna call it like I see it) idiot trainee kid starts to lecture me on the difference between franchise Taco Bells and corporate Taco Bells (this one's a corporate -- like it makes a difference?). This kid's going nowhere with his discussion and he's holding the coupon back to me like he's not going to honor it, so I try and spare us a whole lot of mindless chatter and state that right out front - you're saying you're not going to honor this coupon with your store brand on it, eh kid? "Well, no, what I'm saying is at a *franchise* Taco Bell, you'd save $1.10 on your order, but since this is a *corporate* Taco Bell, you're only saving $0.65 on your order..." The coupon clearly states "2 Item X's for $3.99". What do *I* care how much I'm saving? I try a different tactic: "So, you're trying to save me from using this coupon at this store, because you think I could save more elsewhere, is that it?" "Well, no, I'm just trying to tell you..." At this point the shift leader comes over, puts a virtual stake through the kid's head and cuts $2 off my order for my inconvenience. That's worth .48 stars to me. Noooooooooooot quite enough to round it up to 3. So. You(r store) failed, and your store should train its employees better: if it says 2 X's for $4, tell the high school cashier kid to stop f**king around with the customer and do what the coupon tells it, not to give a sidewise juke down Econ 101. I am surprised to see this location with a low rating. The location closest to me is the Taco Bell in Lafayette, and it is an absolute joke of a location. So my family and I travel a little further to Broomfield to get a better Taco Bell experience. Every visit to this Alter Street location has been amazing all around. First of all, the remodel of the restaurant looks amazing. So clean and bright feeling. The store is always clean when we come in. Secondly, the staff at this location is very friendly, and efficient. They greet us and make small talk at the counter that makes us feel welcome. The BEST part is, I can place an order an KNOW they will get it right! My husband and I customize our Chalupas to have no sour cream (which is the hardest ingredient for the Lafayette store to leave out when asked to!) Add nacho cheese (the best!) They brought our food to our table quickly, and it was all hot and delicous and made perfectly. It doesn't seem to matter the time of day, it is always a good experience. This particular transaction took place at 12:35pm. Middle of their drive thru lunch rush! Kudos to this store for always doing my family right, we will continue to come back and I will continue to Yelp. All those Lafayette Taco Bell customers should drive a little further and go to the Alter Street location in Broomfield instead! read more

Went to this Taco Bell today through drive-thru at 4:40 ordered a Mexican pizza in a 7-Layer Burrito. The manager self gave me a 5-layer burrito and a Mexican pizza I pulled off and seen it was a 5-layer came back and told her it was a 5-layer. She took my five layer package back in the back and brought it back to me in a bag and said here when I opened it it was the same burrito in the same five layer package I told her it was a 5-layer she says open a burrito. When I said I want my money back she slammed the door in my face and flip me off and said f*** you white boy she was a fat Hispanic girl with glasses and a lot of makeup. Guess this is their manager. Don't go here they're screwing up the order so they could steal money from the register. The people that still work here always try their best and are nice, but management needs to fix this location. (Presumably due to understaffing), they never have anyone available to work the hours on their website, closing and opening 1-2 hours before and after their listed times, respectively. Twice now, I've entered an online order, only to show up and have to cancel it due to the drive-through being closed between 8 and 9pm. read more

Sanitation and hygiene apparently means nothing to the employees who work here, so if you're concerned about food borne bacteria, I suggest you head next-door to McDonald's. When I received my change at the drive up, I received back a disgustingly soiled and faded and crumpled up one dollar bill that was almost not distinguishable as currency. The cashier seem perturbed that I wanted a different one. When I got home, I opened up the bag to find a long hair inside just as you see here in this picture. Absolute worst Taco Bell I've ever been to. Just spent over 30 minutes in the drive-thru. The worker made zero apologies or excuses, they clearly do not care at all about their work. I get it, they're probably paid shit, but it's not okay to take that long to make a few items. And I mean, I was the car waiting to get my food, not waiting on other cars to get their food.. Either the managers need to hire more kitchen help, work on prepping food better, or hire people that just give a damn to begin with. Pretty sure this location needs a complete overhaul. read more

I went through the drive thru and asked politely for 5 beans and cheese only chalupas.. said it multiple times .. the employee acted as if she heard me and made a remark as if I should stop repeating myself.. she got it.. i then ask for chips and cheese.. and I ask for a Baja blast .. they don't have it.. what Taco Bell doesn't have Baja blast ?!.. not a big deal though.. This is the absolute worst Taco Bell I have ever been to in my entire life. And I am not exaggerating. These people just do not care they just throw the food around my burritos are like falling apart when I receive them. I reached out to corporate Taco Bell to complain because they don't answer the phones so I can't get a hold of a manager. I reached out to corporate because the punks who work here are rude and get defensive when I tell them they messed up the order. So corporate sent me some free food coupons and I went to use them with two f friends and turns out their dining room was closed. So we went through the drive through and the rude punk said that they can only use one per vehicle. I understand normally but when I have 3 separate people with intentions of going inside but the dining room is closed and they can't make an exception. Guess I'll just have to reach out to corporate again and tell them about this horrid experience. And from the looks of it this place has more one star reviews then I have ever seen. This is the most poorly managed Taco Bell I've ever been to. I've been here on three separate occasions, and each time has been worse than the last. The first trip I sat in line for about 35 minutes, and there were only 3 cars in front of me. The food was decent by Taco Bell standards, so I decided to give it another shot. The second time the wait was better, but the food was awful and stale! In a desperate attempt at getting something quick for dinner close to my home, I came a third time. This time I had to wait in line, but didn't get a chance to order any food because they ran out of "beef". Seriously?!? It's not like a arrived too late at a BBQ joint that only serves local beef, only to find out they ran out of the brisket. This is Taco Bell... how are you not prepared to serve beef? Taco Bell overall has gotten slower over the years at multiple locations I visit, but that's it, I'm done with this one and maybe the entire chain. Every time I think this store will be better, it's not. I could have driven farther and gone inside Chipotle or Qdoba for way better food and it would have taken me less time.
