Being in the food industry my self I hate doing this but I tried to talk with someone about this and I'm still waiting for a phone call. I don't want no refund. Or free food. I just want to let management know that you can't have people like this running around your restaurant. I've been coming here for the last 5 years. Loved it here. A few nights ago I took my 10 year old for food and her favorite freeze. As we waited in drive thru one of the mail employees started screaming I HAVE THE CORANA VIRUS!!! I don't know what he was thinking but it upset me and my daughter especially after all this that is going on with covid19. We got our food but my daughter was so confused and freaked out about what she heard that I ended up throwing all our food away. Trapped on I-80 on President's Day Monday, February 20 for literally 6 hours in the snow and rain with thousands of other people and make it to Colfax just before closing at 10:50pm...line of cars in drive through is 10 deep and must have been that way for hour after hour. Person taking order was ridiculously nice and I was caught off guard by sincere attitude. Definitely customer service kudos for this person working 10 minutes before closing and still being cool to tired, stressed, hungry drivers. Food also legit, ate $5 Chicken Chalupa box which is three tacos and a drink - deal. Posting about fast food on Yelp not too persuasive though; this is about one individual employee. Thanks to Taco Bell for hiring nice people and in particular to this individual for asking how day is going and for sincerely suggesting to drive safely. This is one of the slowest fast food places I've ever been to. Ordered at 6 pm for a quick meal. At 6:25, for our order. If you are really hungry, this is NOT the place to stop unless you have unlimited time. read more

This is literally the WORSE Taco Bell I have ever visited. I've been here 5 times and each time they messed something up. My last visit I ask for extra Nacho Cheese and they give me sour cream instead. It's like the staff here is just high all the time and doesn't pay attention to details. Not to mention they are slow. I waited in line for over 20 minutes once and the line did not even move. Either hire a staff with more than one brain cell or shut this place down. It's a shame cause other Taco Bell's are not even close to this bad. Don't even waste your time here, if you are traveling up I-80 go to Mcdonalds or visit TJ's. Hey, there's no reason to denigrate a place just because it's small. No, this is not a Taco Bell Palace in San Francisco, it's just a little afterthought in little town. One needs to compare apples to apples, this is not the Ritz. I'm glad they're here. TB never has been, and never will be gourmet Mexican food. That can't ever happen because they don't serve margueritas. I've been eating TB stuff since the tacos were $.17 each so I've eaten at a lot of different locations. Sometimes, at TB's they get a little stingy with the ingredients. That has never been the case with this place. Everything is made as it should be. One of the delightful things here is that all the staff seems to be happy and upbeat. That says a lot about the managers. Harassed staff can be surly and unfriendly. Here, they seem to be having a good time and it makes dining here much more pleasant. That's a small town thing. As a bonus, they have $.79 original tacos on Monday. read more

We sometimes stop here when we are coming back from boarding in Tahoe and don't want to wait to have a real meal. Its taco bell people, not much to really say about quality, more like service and setup really. The place sits in a small and dingy parking lot next to a pizza place. The driveway to this bad boy is pretty gnarly and steep so watch out if you in a high up/down low car. The workers are definitely friendly, saw a guy who appeared to be the manager speak kindly to each person as they left, and even gave an unclaimed order of food to another couple waiting in line without hesitation. (this was the 2nd star) However the over speed of service is a little slow...i expect fast food to be ...well......fast The place is somewhat clean for the most part, the down side is the bathroom.....its a single person toilet. I was on a road trip from Reno and we stopped here to grab a bite to eat. The food wasn't bad, but this was by far the most dirty taco bell that I have ever stepped foot in and the customer service was horrible. Will not be going back to this place! read more

Ok...full disclosure. I really like Taco Bell food. We stopped by today when in town and instead of going through the drive through, we went inside. I've been here on and off over the past few years, usually through the drive through. Staff very helpful and friendly, even offering suggestions for my wife when she was mulling over the menu. Dining room, ambiance, etc. was aok and clean. The only downside is the one M/F bathroom, but that's a landlord issue, not a Taco Bell thing. Colfax, as a small community, is fortunate to have a Taco Bell, and I'm sure it's sized appropriately. Coming "down the hill" from Truckee/SLT, this is a welcomed rest stop. The drive through lane is a little funky, but that's just because the put the TB on the end of a strip mall, not in a stand alone building. That's how it is in rural America, sometimes...which is aok. Just roll with it. :-) read more

Literally 7 times I have been to this taco bell. The kids that work there are very young, however that is no excuse for 7 out of 7 times the order was wrong and the food was horrible. If you go to the Foresthill exit that taco bell is awesome. But the colfax taco bell is a absolute joke. Horrible and I am sorry for anyone that has to go there. read more

Right off the bat I am not a Taco Bell fan. Having lived in Colfax for a few years now I end up getting food here as my wife likes TB better than Mcds. This place is a joke drive thru is normally a 10 to 20 min wait. The Orders Are Messed Up More Often Than not. Food today was gross. Items were not marked according. Everything was over salted. The bad reviews are correct. Sorry. Some Taco Bells are great! Not this one. Have eaten Nachos Bell Grande at another location that gave a good amount of fresh chopped tomato and ground beef. Not this one. A thick slab of old beans, cheese sauce, sour cream, small amount of tomato, no ground beef, and most of this stuff, especially the chunk of bean substance plopped in the middle and not evenly distributed over the surface (maybe the other location spoiled us?). Furthermore, fresco tacos should come with ground beef, a good amount of fresh tomatoes, and lettuce, but not cheese, hence they are healthier and fresco; these had cheese. Husband said his bean burrito was gross; sorry we can't be more specific than that. I actually like Taco Bell when the particular franchise does it right. This one didn't. I went in to get my food $25. I get the food open it up after I drive away to see none of it was cooked and there was pretty much only sauce on a cold tortilla. I bring the food back tell the guy I would like it redone and actually cooked as he's says that's how they make it. He gives in when I ask for his boss and goes to remake the meal. 10 minutes later he brings me the food I check it's there and drive off because I just wanted to go home after spending a half hour at Taco Bell. I then open the stuff which has the right proportions but Ice cold. I then call for a refund and the guy says he made it himself and it was perfect. I then ask when his boss will be there he says tomorrow but he's not sure when he will be there I ask for contact information of his boss and he starts to get mad and stated he's not going to give me any information about how to contact him or when he will be there then says good luck and hangs up. I called back and he's playing "bitch don't kill my vibe" by Kendrick Lamar through the phone. I have a video of it sadly can't post on yelp but when I finally get ahold of his boss it's going to be really fun to see this guy fired. This could be a great Taco Bell if they had grown managers that could handle the young kids that work here instead of joining them and contributing to their bad behaviors. The examples I have are not appropriate, so just use your imagination and its probably happened at this Taco Bell. I have worked at this specific Taco Bell location and know the portions of ingredients that are supposed to be used. Whatever crew is working tonight has got to be about the laziest crew of Taco Bell employees in the history of Colfax Taco Bell. Instead of preparing more meat, they half-portion it so that they don't have to prepare more. I am talking about steak that comes sealed in a package and needs no more than the package cut open and to be reheated. That is completely inexcusable considering the recent increases in price at this location. The lead of this shift needs to get it together. Most of the time this location is completely by the books and has great customer service, but even that is mediocre with this crew. Whichever crew is working right now, at 9:00 PM, April 5th 2019, is a disgrace to people who actually want to work for a living. Taco Bell corporate makes everything as easy as it can possibly be so that there is no variation and people know what to expect. Just follow the guidelines and don't rip people off because you're feeling lazy. Completely inexcusable. The second star is for the other shifts because they deserve it. read more

every time i go they take super long in the drive thur. even if im the only one. yesterday i went into the lobby and it smelled super bad. sometimes they have a line of people in the drive thur and the employees have the lobby closed and are j sitting on the tables. it's ridiculous. read more

We've been living in Colfax for just over three years so we've frequented this store on many occasions. My son even worked there for a short time when he was in high school. Prior to the big renovation, I thought the food was good, considering it's Taco Bell, and the service was good as well. Since the renovation, however, the service has steadily gone downhill. The drive thru is ALWAYS slow and at least 10% of the time, your order will be completely messed up. It appears that they're typically understaffed, which might be part of the problem. When they do get your order right, the quality of food is very good... again considering it's Taco Bell. read more

Went in for dinner last night 9-19-18, some teenaged boy came to the counter, never asked if he could help us, just stood there, pan faced, no smile, no hello, acted as if it was a bother to take our order. After skiing all day we stopped at the Taco Bell in Colfax yesterday on Feb 13th, 2011. We ordered a mix of tacos, burritio supremes, and chulupas.. Then we arrived home in Santa Rosa....we were both not well and both became very sick throughout the night Vomiting and diarhhea persisited. Still sick at 3pm on Feb 14th. Don't bother trying to go through the drive through any time afternoon. Breakfast time service is good, but come dinner time it doesn't matter if there is no cars or 5 they are very slow and as a bonus when you do get your food it is cold. Going inside is much better food is usually quicker and it is hot. Staff is always friendly. Not sure why the drive through is so slow and how come the food is cold. read more

Today was the third time we stopped at this Taco Bell on our way back from Reno. The first time we stopped here, we were actually stopping for gas. Decided we were hungry, and drove through. We have only used the drive-thru, so I can't speak of the bathroom situation. The staff has always been friendly, and the food is always hot. Unfortunately, this taco bell has gone down hill over the last few years. While, it is taco bell, and I never expect much, they really skimp on the portion size compared to any other taco bell I've been to. I'm talking, hard tacos with meat barely covering 1/8" bottom the shell, 10 shreds of cheese, and lettuce overflowing. We have had burritos and the new double layer taco with more tortilla than filling. We have tried 3 times. We will drive the extra 15 miles to Auburn if we are craving taco bell from now on. read more

This place is horrible. They were so rude for no reason and when they messed up my order i told them its okay and I understood how fast food is. It sucks. They were still rude no smiles eye rolling. forgot to give me my drink until my boyfriend said something charged me for 2 nachos and didn't get my order right still and messed up my crunch wrap which was supposed to have no Chipotle sauce on it. I was nice about it and they were still rude. A girl brought my drink to the table and then snarled "here I'll get you a straw" slammed her hand and straw against the table. The Food was cold.
