We chose to carry out because we thought that with the small amount of seating, it would be cramped. However, they were so fast in delivering food to customers, we realized that we would have done well eating in. Now ... the food! Freaking amazing. Pimp and I had the pick 3 dinner specials. For $13 you get rice and beans and 3 main items (i.e. tacos, tamales, etc) I chose a taco, tamale, and quesadilla. Pimp had all tacos. The beans and rice were seasoned to perfection. After filling up on my beans, I barely had room for the rest. I used my fingers to scrape the last bit of the beans out of the container. LOL (I could have just settled with the beans and rice.) But I braved it and dug into my chicken taco. We both agreed that the chicken was very well seasoned, moist, but not soggy. It was a good amount of it on the tacos without being too much. We were so full after the beans, rice, and tacos, we had to take a break for a siesta. I still got a tamale, and quesadilla left and Pimp had two tacos. But if we finished, this review would not get written. Buen trabajo, Arturo's. Lo has hecho muy bien. We'll be back after bowling tomorrow to get some of those beans to take home.

Haters gonna hate on Butch's. Haters can hate on the fact that the folks of Grand Haven generally…read morelove it. There's definitely some competitive advantage in their awesome location across from the channel and just down from the state park, but there's more than location to explain why the lines for Butch's are out the door most sunny days from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Butch's has such a unique flavor, it's pretty hard to compare it to other places. It's absolutely not gourmet, but it's absolutely beach food. Nothing about Butch's is authentic, but everything about what they do is "craveable". The tortillas are not homemade, but something about their flour-y texture is memorable. The volume of the burritos (and salads, for that matter) seem to be mostly lettuce, but that's not to the detriment of the flavor. Instead the lettuce gives great texture and moisture, along with the sauce. The sauces (1, 2, or 3 alarm) are not slow-cooked, artisanal family recipes but DANG do they go well on an Original Beef n Bean burrito. No, I would not recommend a veggie burrito. The list of toppings is limited, and it definitely needs the meat to round things out. Note that the chicken is shredded and can be a bit dry, so make sure you get plenty of sauce on/with your entree if you go that route. If you're feeling hungry, my advice is to get a salad. Once you've eaten 3/4 of it, you can even wrap it up with the tortilla that lines the bottom of the container and have what amounts to basically another burrito. As others have noted, BBB is a Grand Haven landmark, an institution. I got some of my wedding pictures taken in front of here, a tribute to many happy summer memories. If you don't decide to go (or go back) to Butch's, I get it. That just makes it a bit shorter wait for me and all the other die-hards that find themselves craving that special somethin' somethin' by the beach.
