If you get off the Kettleman City exit on your way to or from LA, don't and I repeat don't go here and instead go to In n Out, even if it's more crowded. This taco bell is the most digusting one I've ever been to. The place smelled like urine. Not too appetizing when you're about to eat! I ordered a hard taco and a chicken burrito. The taco was fine, but the chicken tasted like chemicals. I had 2 bites and couldn't eat it anymore and had to eat my boyfriend's taco..lol. It was THAT bad! 5 star experience!!!! I was trying to figure out what dining experience I wanted ( mcdonalds, et al.) and saw a glowing sign in the distance... So I decided to allow myself to be taken in by the soft glow of t- bell. I had a 7 layer burrito and it was a 7 layer party! The beans and rice were totally hooking up in a totally awesome way. My bro was munching some serious quesadilla action as well with equal enthusiasm. My gurl had a chalupa which did not disappoint. My only gripe is that I'm from la and I have to drove so far to enjoy taco bell :( read more

This Taco Bell is disgusting. It is very dirty, and smells awful. The bathrooms are filthy. The floors are caked with gross caked-on filth. It looks like they have not cleaned the place in months. If they allow the rest of the restaurant to look and smell so bad, what must the kitchen be like? And the employees are clearly unhappy - unfriendly and disgruntled The bean/cheese/rice burritos were terrible: very spicy fake cheese - like bad Velveeta. We have eaten these at other Taco Bells and they taste just fine. The Cantina Burrito (vegetable) was a joke. And they cost over $4.75 each. The tortilla was toasted but the inside was basically lettuce in a corn sauce. Given the conditions of the restaurant and employee indifference, we decided not to eat the burritos after a few bites. We figured the corn sauce might have sat on the counter for days... We spent $14.36, and only ate two 99-cent Cheese Rollups because they were the only things palatable enough to choke down. We dumped the food, and exited the freeway 40 miles up the road where we purchased dinner #2 (not at Taco Bell)! Avoid this place. This is my food stop when I'm driving down/up the 5 and hunger kicks in. In-N-Out is always so packed because everyone and their mom and their dad and their sisters and their third cousin HAS to stop at In-N-Out. Taco Bell - thank you for being (relatively) crowd-free. This drive thru attendant slammed the window closed while we were counting our money there, since she didn't give us the total until we got up there. Then, even though she repeated "no onions" on my burrito, do you think it had no onions? Avoid this place like the plague. read more

We were on our way back from Disneyland in a great mood! We get to Taco Bell drive thru order our food and I look in the bag there was three things missing and one order that wasn't supposed to be in there I was like ok I'll bring my receipt in and fix it. I walk in with a great attitude and walk up to who looks like a manager with a striped shirt on and say it looks like a few things are missing in my bad she proceeds to tell me I bagged this my self I know I put it in there with an attitude! I say you can go check my car there is nothing there she says to one of the people on the floor come here and tells him that I was missing things he said to just give it to me , they should have done that in the first place without the attitude. Best experience I have ever had at a fast food. The lady who helped me out was named Maria and she was so nice and friendly. She brought out our food which she didn't have to and the food had the perfect amount of ingredients in it. Just perfect. My favorite place to go when on the road. read more

The basic crunchy taco was skimpy and the beefy burrito was smothered in sour cream, I guess that what all the white stuff was suppose to be. Decided to see if all the negative reviews had resulted in changes since we had stopped at In-N-Out on the way down to LA. I chuckled when I walked in--2people were cleaning the restaurant! Both had a cheery greeting. All the employees were super friendly. When I went in about 15 minutes later to get some water for my dog, someone was cleaning the bathroom --LoL!! Ordered a taco for our dog, and the employee offered to make him some plain meat instead--very sweet. I'd say the owner read the bad reviews and made big changes here, or it changed ownership. I'd like to make a formal complaint about this particular Taco Bell. Last night, my husband and I ordered our food at 6:32pm. We did not receive our food until after 7pm. That's over 30 minutes waiting for "fast food". In addition, the cashier was not pleasant (I could tell she really HATED her job), there were flies everywhere, and the tables and ground just seemed very dirty. It appears this particular location is very understaffed, and several people asked for their money back since the food was taking so long to make. I'm writing because I really hope the "higher ups" at Taco Bell can do something to improve the state of the Kettleman City location. We are definitely not coming back. read more

My family and I will never stop at this Taco Bell again here in Kettleman City at 27494 Dana circle! As we walk into the door the line was back up. I look to see if there was any other cashiers open and there's two training one young girl, with two registers closed . One Trainee was on his phone and looking over paperwork and glancing at the line and the other trainee was doing little training she knew. She didn't even make sense to the girl. With all due respect I get you're trying to train during crunch time but with the amount of ppl in the building,cmon man wrong timing! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I get it, it's fast food but my vegetarian friend ordered all her items without meat and they forgot to bag 3 of our items and then when we went to go back in to ask for the items, the manager pretty much assumed we were lying and we even told her she could search our car since she wanted to play judge Judy. Then she gave us 2/3 items and she put meat on them! We had to pay for our last item she forgot. This manager (white woman with shorter hair) needs to fix her customer service but also her eyebrows. Honestly its a pit stop I don't expect it to be amazing. Anytime I do a road trip with family we tend to stop here. To food isn't great but its filling enough. To receive your food could take from 15 min to 40 min. Bathrooms could use a cleaning but last time I stopped by it wasn't nearly as bad. My issue with this Taco Bell is that they don't answer their bloody phones! Why is there a work phone if your not going to even bother answering? One of our family members had left their phone at said Taco Bell. We didn't notice till 4 hours down the road and we called to confirm if it was there. But they never answered. It was probably 8pm. And I know for a fact that they were not closed and it was empty the entire hour that we were there. I get that there was only two employees working the shift but come on! After two hours of calling them they didn't pick up once! To the point that they would answer and click very quickly. I'm sure the constant ringing was annoying but had they picked up we would have stopped calling. The lost phone was dead so there was no hope there. Even as we waited and called back in the morning there was still no answer. Might as well take out the phone number on their website since its absolutely pointless. read more

Stopped off on a rare trip outside a 50-mile radius of the Bay Fair BART. Solid food as always, but they ran out of potato tacos. The real attraction with this location is The World's Smallest Fence, which is exactly as advertised. Look for it on your way out of the drive-thru. read more

We stopped on our way back from los angeles and i cannot believe the type of service they have here. The lady in the kitchen would take her sweet time to make a taco. The guy in the cashier kept messing up everyones order had to repeat like 3times. I had told them i was dining in and when they called me up because my food was ready 40 min later they gave it to me in bags because they had run out of trays. Jim went to Taco Bell, but then the smell of toilet and flies everywhere made Jim stop talking in the third person. Wow. Yeah I thought it was pretty bad.
