I am not going to lie, we don't do fast food much but we were early for our doctor's appointment so I decided to grab a bite. They really have the most helpful staff, Jose helped me check-in using the app. Luckily it wasnt in the mist of lunch hour so he took the time help with the kiosk. The app asks for two codes if you are paying with Venmo and it made it hard for me to go back to put second code from email. Well Jose was nice enough to grant the free offer. First, I'd like to say that the few remaining employees they have at this location are very kind and helpful and the food is prepared well. That's the end of my 5 star review. Now, we've all either hear or said "TURN OFF THE AIR CONDITIONER!" while at home. Why? Because we know how much it costs to run it. Taco Bell runs their's so hard that you could hang meat in the dining area to cool the 5 people willing to brave the cold. With menus removed from the counter wall, minimum staffing, "to go" bags rather than trays for dine in, nothing says welcome to your new AI world like Taco Bell. Compared to the *other* Taco Bell in the City of Lakewood, I've generally liked my experience here better, hence why I agree with the other Elite Yelpers that this Taco Bell is deserving of a 4th star, rather generous for a dime a dozen fast food joint. I'm a member of the Taco Bell Rewards program, and every now and then, Taco Bell will give out some nice promos, some of which I will take advantage of at this location on the south side of Carson between Cherry and Paramount. It's literally right next to the city boundary separating Long Beach from Lakewood, but this Taco Bell is on the Lakewood side of the border. So I've never actually been inside this Taco Bell. All of my visits have been to the drive thru, but all of my drive thru visits, unlike the location on Del Amo & Woodruff, have gone off without a hitch. What I've noticed different about this drive thru is that I usually hit the jackpot when it comes to the sauces. Usually when I place my order in the app, I'll request one sauce of each regardless of what I order, but they literally give out the sauce packets like Oprah gives out cars. Or better yet, MrBeast giving out money lol. These sauce packets come in handy whenever I want to add flavor to any of my other meals, even if the sauce doesn't go well with them, but at least the taste isn't as monotonous lol. I've generally been satisfied with the food here, perhaps better than that *other* location. I recall enjoying the Cantina Crispy Chicken Taco with Avocado Ranch as well as a Spicy Cheesy Double Beef Burrito from this location that I would get them again, something I don't say a whole lot for any fast food. The Spicy Potato Soft Taco is another one you shouldn't pass on! If you like potatoes, you'll enjoy this taco. On my most recent visit, I tried another menu item featuring potatoes: Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes. They are simply potatoes with sour cream and nacho cheese sauce. The thought of the two together might sound sour to some, but to me, it's makes for a nice one-two punch! I enjoyed the bold taste of the potatoes alongside said one-two punch, but the size, however, was a little small for $2.99, so I'd only recommend getting it as a Hot Tier Reward, as was in my case. You get a reward when you earn 250 points in the Taco Bell app, where you earn 10 points for every dollar spent. I scored a lot of these points by partaking in the Taco Bell Live Mas Student Section, where you vote on which university has the most passionate football fans. Even if your vote doesn't win, you can still score a good chunk of bonus points simply by voting! :) Overall, a decent Taco Bell to go to if you're in the mood for some tacos or even some potatoes! It also helps that I haven't had bad service by any of the drive thru attendants at this location. read more

A group of 4 of us were standing here for 15 minutes because the workers don't want to stop for a minute to call out orders that are sitting here on their stand getting cold. I watch as they put my order(found out later in hindsight) on the stand and don't take 2 seconds to yell out the name of the order. I wouldn't have to spend 10-15 minutes standing here wondering if it's okay to grab the bags and check for my name. There's no implication that we have to reach all the way over the counter to get our food. The bags aren't pushed up to the end and the names on the order are not visible to the customers. This isn't a one time thing, either. I come here often for lunch because it's cheap and fast, but it seems like NOBODY wants to do this small minimal task of just calling out names on the order. read more

Located off Carson St. in Lakewood. The parking is shared with the other businesses in the center. When walking and going up to the counter you'll notice there is no menu or menu display anywhere you have to turn around and place your order at the kiosk or mobile order. Once placed you can find you a table if dining in or just wait until they call your name. I'm not sure if this is a faster process but one thing to note i believe it's cashless here since you either ordering at the kiosk or mobile. Overall it was an ok experience oh and if you need utensils you gotta ask and they use paper straws that definitely don't last halfway through your drink. Don't listen to the 2 star review, this place is goated. I asked for very specific sauce amounts i'm talking 1 of this 2 of this one 3 of this one all the way to 5 each sauce i had a different amount. They took their time to actually count the sauces. Best believe I used all the sauces I chugged each one down-like I was a thirsty Hungarian child. Exceptional service the guy in there even gave me an extra burrito which I absolutely scarfed down in the car later that day. I like to go inside to order. This is the only Taco Bell that I'm aware of that does not have the menu posted on the wall behind the counter. It's just a blank wall! You must use the kiosk which is confusing and often freezes while you're trying to place your order. They are always short on workers so your order takes an awful long time. The people that are there are very young and slow, no manager ever visible. The food is decent, but Del Taco is much better and priced more reasonably, so no more Taco Bell for me! Don't bother dining in; restaurant was a mess and appeared that a team member dragged a leaky trash can out the front door, so there was a bunch of fluid/water on the floor. Slip and fall accident with the accompanying lawsuit just waiting to happen. Evidently they don't have a menu board anymore; they have a touch screen system that for whatever reason, didn't seem to work unless I really pressed the screen which wasn't responsive. You'd think that the team members that were walking behind the counter and saw that either it wasn't working correct or I wasn't using it correctly would ask "do you need a hand with that?" or take my order manually...nope! I get so disappointed when I go to a restaurant and the person that is fixing my food decides that they are not going to properly prepare the food. I ordered the number one the taco supreme minus sour cream. Do you know that they gave me three tacos that were so flat that I almost bit myself bitting it because there was nothing in the damn taco. Had I not just gotten off of work driving 12 hours I would've taken myself back up there and had them replace my food but it is 11:00 PM almost midnight and I need to get up at 3am. I feel like sometimes you don't get good service in these hours anyways. But I'm really ticked off. I intend to call the manager and have them replace my complete order because the taco shells were stale and my cinnamon twisted where hard and cold. I don't want to feel like it is a bias situation, but I have been to restaurants before wear, a particular group of people are servicing me and they give me less than the portion amount that you normally get if you are within their culture. This happens a lot at some of the restaurants that serve this type of food in LA. I don't know if this is a biased situation or what? Yet why would you do that and it's almost like because I said no sour cream they wanna punish me because I didn't get the Taco the way that they wanted to make it so I'm annoyed and still hungry.
