When somebody orders off Vegetarian menu. Please make sure its vegetarian. Tonight is the 7th time I have ordered and received meat in my meal. I gotta give it up to this Taco Bell in Lihue!!!! Yeah, yeah, yeah...........I see the 2.5 overall rating of this fast food joint, but let Bruddah Fran state his case for da Bell. First of all, going to da Bell wasn't in my original plans, as I originally was trying to go to - "Daddy O's" in Lihue, but when I got there, it was closed. (Insert SAD Panda face here). Unfortunately for me, when I was doing work in Lihue I got hung up on a job, and by the time I got out, I really didn't have too much time left to grab something to eat before heading back to the airport to catch my flight home......... this is where Taco Bell came to my rescue. I'll be straight with you guys...........the food that I got the particular day when I came to this Taco Bell was a Solid "5", but the speed of service here is a SOLID "2", thus my overall score of a Solid 3.5 for da Bell, but Bruddah Fran is going to be generous and round it off to a "4" because I actually enjoyed da grub! I noticed when I drove up to this Taco Bell just across the street from the Kukui Grove Shopping Center, there was a super long line of cars in the drive up. Not wanting to wait in the drive up, I decided to park my rental car in the large parking lot, & walk into the restaurant to place my food order (thinking that it would be faster, WRONG!). When I walked into the restaurant, there was only one guy ahead of me, and after he placed his food order, I immediately was helped right afterwards. Upon looking over the wall menu, I ended up getting one of them combo meal packages (I forgot what numba it was), but it came with (2) Chicken Chalupa's, and a Taco (which I substituted for a Chicken Taco) & a large drink. What can I say about the grub? I was so hangry that I chomped my hard shell taco before getting a photo (sorry guys), but when I bit into that taco, I must say it was one of the FRESHEST taco shells I've ever bit into from a Taco Bell! They must have just gotten a fresh batch!!! As of the Chalupa's, just look at my photos, and you will see how fresh the ingredients they used to build my Chicken Chalupa's. No complaints about the food, only the wait for my food which was super long (probably due to the endless long lines from the drive-up). The wait time was so long, I started to worry about making it back to the airport on time to catch my flight home, but at the end, everything worked out for me. I got my grub, and I made it back to the airport (on time) to catch my flight home..........it also helped that Hawaiian Airlines canceled my flight to fly out a little later. Lol! It was late on Christmas Day and the staff were very busy. I repeated the order 3 times and paid $43 for 4 meals. We were exhausted and drove straight back to the condo. I violated my rule checking the order. They shorted us 1 meal and instead of getting 2 Sprites and 1 water we were given 1 Sprite and 2 waters. I don't care how busy or frustrated an employee gets, he or she needs to get the orders 100% correct 100% of the time. The food we did receive was ok but nothing special. Definitely NOT on 'My Keepers List'. 2 Thumbs down. Actually received a message from the business owner. Bing thank you for that. No, we did not get the order corrected. It was late and we had just gotten off of an 18 hour flight. It just was not worth the extra 30-45 minute round trip to have it fixed. read more

When walking up I saw they were hiring, not realizing they meant on the spot as you order at a kiosk. But the food was hot, fresh, and quick and staff polite. The restaurant was clean. You do have to ask for a key to use the restroom but overall not bad. read more

For Taco Bell this place is better than average. Staff are always friendly the food is hot and the orders accurate. I love the Mexican Pizza and it was delicious like I remembered. The drive though can be real slow that's the only negative here. read more

I usually dont write reviews but THE best customer service ive ever experienced at a fast food restaurant! i forgot my receipt and i really needed it so i called them to get it emailed to me, if that were possible. they took my email & phone# down and i didnt have the best service so they accidentally got my email wrong they couldve said "oh well" but they went out of their way to find my paper receipt & take a picture & sent it to me by message. Last week we decided to pick up some dinner at the drive-thru before heading to the airport and settled on Taco Bell for our quick meal. The line moved pretty efficiently and the worker at the drive-thru window was actually pretty friendly and patient with us as my coworker asked her what was in their cheesy fiesta potatoes and most recent crunch wrap supreme special. We both ended up settling on a burrito supreme and crunchy taco each. We actually didn't indulge in our meals until after returning the rental car and checking in at the airport, but everything was still pretty tasty (as tasty as Taco Bell can get). Tacobell is great! They have a wide variety of food that is ok mexican fast food. This one is good we just went through the drive through but they were friendly and fast. We actually ordered a lot of food and they got it right! Being in Hawaii it does cost a little more for the food but it still is pretty reasonable for what we have gotten on the island. I have no shame (and a crazy craving for sour cream at 10am) so I waited patiently at the drive thru for my TB breakfast. And waited. And waited. She was there because she greeted us when we drove up, but after asking for a moment to read the menu, she never came back on. *eye roll* We drove up to give her our order (she was just standing there, talking to her coworkers) & received the nastiest TB order i've ever tasted. This place is lucky to get one star. The place is filthy and the staff is very rude. The food was very poor quality. They have no idea what they are doing. The kitchen had garbage and food bits on the floor. When I told them about an item that was not eight I was told that is the way it should be. Its average fast food. It's not real Mexican, so don't expect anything on that level. We drove up, there was a sign on the speaker that said they were out of fruit punch, lemonade, and raspberry ice tea. If you know my bf, he loves his tea. So he did ask, just to ask. She said they did. And so I proceeded to ask her if they had lemonade. She said they did. I told her there was a sign on the speaker. She didn't say anything. We ordered, and she told me to pull forward. I asked if she wanted me to take the sign down. She was silent and then told me to pull forward again. We pulled up and she gave us the wrong size drinks. I wanted a regular size lemonade and my bf wanted the large ice tea. She also asked me if there was a sign on the ordering speaker. And I told her yes. She didn't say anything after that. Had to bang on the window at 11:24 p.m. to get an explanation from shift manager Jaypee as to why the place was closed when the Drive-Thru is supposed to be open until Midnight. Jaypee seemed a little scared and said that, "They changed the hours." This has happened to me four times in the last six months, so I'm guessing Jaypee closes an hour early every night. I've also seen people get kicked out of the dining room at 9:45 p.m. even though the posted hours say it's supposed to be open until 10:30 p.m. What gives? read more

Ok Taco Bell employees, food was good...but the wait was 45mins!! My husband and I patiently waited for our order: 2 cheese roll ups, 1 steak quesadilla, and a beef nacho. Since we were visiting from out of town and a cab is cheaper, our cab driver came in to make sure everything was ok, since you know we were waiting 45 minutes.
