This Taco Bell is absolute GARBAGE! I've given them multiple chances and I'm not sure why. Today was the last time I will EVER step foot into this place. 1. I've never went inside and DIDNT have my shoes stick the floor with every step 2. the meat is ALWAYS cold, no matter what time you go in! I've been there early in the morning, the afternoon and late night. 3. Don't ever expect to get a reasonable amount of ANY ingredient (even if you pay more for extra) 4. The staff is rude and pushy! 5. The fountain drinks taste like mildew 6. Their prices are $1-5 more than ALL other Taco Bell's I have been to in the snohomish county area With all that being said, let me tell yall about why today was my LAST time giving them business. Took my daughter and niece there for dinner. They asked to go to a different one and I unfortunately said the Monroe one is going to be easier for our errands/schedule for the day. HUGE MISTAKE!!! On our way there, I remembered I hate that location and I was like "dang it!! I forget they suck" and both the girls said "we know!! We were confused why you turned down going to a different one" sadly, it was just a honest mistake that I forgot how much they suck. We get there and the 3 of us end up spending $30 on boxes and a couple side items. My favorite menu item is the nacho fries.. the seasoning is everything!! That I the one thing I KNEW was going to be crap, it always is at THIS location. I was dumb and decided to gamble it. Sure enough, I basically got regular plain fries ‍ I took them back up and talked to the manager. Me: "can I please get these remade?" Him: "why? What's wrong with them?" Me: "well, I ordered nacho fries and these are basically just plain fries" Him: "those are nacho fries!" Me: "can I just get them remade or can you toss some more seasoning on these ones?" He ignored me and walked away.. I left the fries there on the counter and went back to my table. I then unwrap my crunchy taco to find out it's pretty much a shell filled half way with lettuce, maybe a teaspoon of COLD (not warm, not like warm... COLD) meat and two strands of shredded cheese same with my daughters and nieces tacos. I was still waiting for the remade fries so I just decided to deal with the tacos and let that go. The whole time I'm waiting for these fries, all I hear is this "manager" making a huge fuss about it, talked to other employees "I don't know what her problem is" "these are clearly nacho fries" The fries finally get done and he just sets them on the counter and doesn't say a word. We only found out they were on the counter because I asked my niece to check. These fries that were reMADE WERE SOMEHOW WORSE THAN THE FIRST ONES I was over it. I took them back up to the manager... Me: "can I just get a refund for these?" Him: "but why?" Me: "because they literally are NOT nacho fries. I'm irritated at this point and now I don't even want them. Can I please just get a refund for them?" Him: "they are nacho fries.." me: "can I PLEASE just get a refund?! I don't want them!!" Him: "there's no possible way I can give you a refund for them" Me: "okay, is there someone I can talk to about this?" Him: "yeah, me! Sure enough, my 5 layer burrito that I added rice to, ended up being pretty much a rice and sour cream burrito all while listening to this "manager'' talk crap to the employees again, saying stuff like "I should just kick them out, I'm so f*cking irritated" that took me over the top lmao like, you're going to kick me and my kids out because I called you out about our food being crap? I was already planning on calling corporate or whoever I need to, about my refund, so I wanted to chat about their "manager" too. I go back up before we leave and ask him what his name is.. nope! I wish there was an option for 1/2 of a star for this location. Had the worst customer service experience I've ever encountered with a Taco Bell employee. Whilst in the drive through and attempting to make an order, the employee made the choice to play a game with my order cutting me off before I could finish saying each item, and then following each item up with a myriad of unneeded questions for each item (Beef, chicken or steak? Sourcream? Tomatoes? Make it spicy? Is that everything? ) in a rushed paced. She was doing this for fun- not for items that needed clarification. She did this for EVERY menu item I ordered. Once at the window, her and another staff member were laughing hysterically. I have never been to a Taco Bell where I felt so disrespected and like I was an annoyance for coming to spend money somewhere. Since she could see I wasn't amused, she then proceeded to say "Oh I put some of my food in when I was taking your order and I kept looking over at it." When I didn't laugh, she said "Oh, I thought it was funny" and slowly closed the window. While waiting for our food, we could hear the staff member proceed with this "game" to the other cars behind us. I also have a short video of this interaction for a couple of the items I ordered as it was so uncomfortable. I'm really understanding that people want to make their job fun, but to do it at the expense of the customer is in bad taste. I won't be visiting this location again. We did our own order on the computer screen. Everything was made correctly. I miss the employee interactions sometimes. Food was good, Sauces were well stocked and so was the napkins. The new fresca mango drinks was little strange with the added dehydrated looking mangos looked more like floating teeth in there. I've come here twice - ordering online, and it's been a great experience both times. My wife will order on their app (or whatever... maybe on the website), I'll drive over, park, walk in, grab the bag, say "thanks" to the employees, walk out, get back in my car, and drive off. It's painless, I get my bag o' tacos, and I don't have to ever stop moving. My Taco Bell fav is the Cheesy Gordita Crunch - it's like a bready taco shell wrapped around a normal taco shell (with cheese in between)... and it has some special sauce that actually has some flavor (plus the usual - taco bell meat, lettuce, cheese). The kids like tacos without lettuce... which... is just tortilla, meat, and cheese. . Are there better places to get tacos? Absolutely. Are there better fast food places? Maybe, depends on my mood. When we order an item with jalapeños for him and a different item without jalapeños, for me, everything is made with jalapenos... Okay I normally never would review a fast food place but I have been here THRICE now as it is one of my only food options getting off from a late shift. Homeboy who takes the orders with a deep southern draw (whether it's fake or not lol) goes the extra mile to ask if you want something "spicy" (with jalapeños) or not, which I've learned from visiting multiple TBell locations that you usually have to go out of your way to ask for. So like, he's really just making your day in multiple ways. The rest of the staff is faster than Lightning McQueen to get your order ready and all of them 10/10 deserve a raise. Wow. I think this is the first fast food review I've done. Since fast food isn't really "great" (well, except that All Natural burger from Carl's Junior, that was a pleasant surprise) it's really the exceptionally bad experiences that stand out. And so far, I've only had the run-of-the-mill disappointment that comes with a typical sub-par burger or unsatisfying french fries. But nothing that made me start plotting to track down the general manager of the store. Until now. And maybe it's because I worked at one when I was a teenager that I have a bit of a higher standard. But in all my years of frequenting Taco Bell (yes, even after having worked there) it hasn't been this bad. It all started out well, but then most stories do. The cashier was very friendly. We ordered two Sriracha Beef Quasaritos, a soft taco, two hard tacos, a Doritos Locos Taco Supreme, and a bean burrito. We sat and waited, and waited, and waited. It took 15 minutes to finally get our order. 15 minutes seems like an eternity at a fast food joint. Most Mexican restaurants are faster than this. Back in my day we had orders out in a few minutes! /old man mode When I looked over the order, I see they had forgotten the soft taco (the only thing my younger son ordered). I went back up to the counter and informed them of the mistake, and they produced a soft taco very quickly. I sat back down, and then saw that one of the Quesaritos was not the new Sriracha one that my other son and I wanted to try. I checked the receipt and saw that she had punched in the order that way, so I chalked it up to our mistake for not confirming our order correctly. See, I'm really not much of a whiner. To alleviate the problem of us both wanting to try the Sriracha one though, we decided to cut each burrito in half and swap one half. Imagine my surprise when the sole ingredient inside each Quesarito seemed to be rice. Where's the beef??? We specifically ordered them with beef. The Sriracha Quesarito also had Sriracha sauce in addition to the rice. After unfolding the tortilla, I was able to find a couple specs of beef, but they seemed to have gotten there by accident. I decided to just eat the burritos as-is instead of complaining. But I grumbled as I did it, so I didn't seem like too much of a pushover. Halfway through my disappointing burrito, my son points out that his DLC Supreme taco supreme was not, in fact, supreme. In Taco Bell land "Supreme" means sour cream and tomatoes, and both were missing. Now this was getting out of hand, so I went back up to the counter and asked for a real supreme taco, not the inferior one I was given. They fairly quickly made a new one and I was back at our table for more disappointment. I gave up on the Quesaritos and decided to just eat my two hard shell tacos. I always order these every time I go to a Taco Bell and they are good the vast majority of the time. At least I would be able to enjoy "the usual"... but after the first bite, I felt like one of those kids that got an empty Playstation "box" for Christmas because Jimmy Kimmel told his parents to do it. They were the two worst hard tacos I've ever had at Taco Bell. Stale shells, almost no meat, almost no cheese, but stuffed liberally with lettuce. So basically lettuce tacos. On the way out, I noticed the floor didn't appear to have been swept recently, which normally would not bother me but after everything else it stood out like bad breath on a bad date. I would have given this place 5 stars if all the people who worked here were just as amazing as the lady who worked the Drive through tonight taking our order. My family of 4 had a large order and she got it all right, nothing was missing and her customer service was GREAT! Her name is Angel!! And let me tell you, Angel is going places! She was doing almost everything herself with the orders and a line because the manager and a couple other male employees were complaining about their job and who does and doesn't do any of the work (not something I as a customer want to overhear) AND they all could have been helping Angel and help the one go faster but they were just standing around leaving her and one other person to do the work. The inside was so clean. I am just sad more people like Angel don't work here because they would have better business and a better dine-in environment. read more

Sadly, I don't think this review will do anything to change the way they run this Taco Bell. Management obviously doesn't care about the dozen or so horrible reviews. There aren't a ton of options here in Monroe so I continue to go back to this place, knowing I'll be mad when I leave. The first criticism is the fact that they don't check the order when preparing to food to see if any changes were made. I get all my stuff without tomatoes and then find most of my stuff with tomatoes on it. They just seem to make it the one way and don't THINK to check the actual customer order. The drive-thru is always slow. This has been established many times through these reviews. But the worst part of the slow drive-thru is that your food is still COLD. If it was a slow drive-thru because they were making sure the food was hot, that would be one thing. But that is not the case...ever. The biggest issue I have is the lack of COMMON SENSE shown by the drive-thru employees. If the receipt says "this order contains 6 items", then check the bag and make sure there are six items. The number of items is literally printed on every receipt!! The last THREE times I've gone here my order is missing one or two items. One time I'd already made it home and wasn't going to go back because then the rest of my food would be cold by the time I got back home. So my boyfriend just ate 2 of my things, since two of his were missing. The other two times, I was smart enough to check to bag, but only once I'd left the drive-thru. So then I circled back through and told them they'd forgotten an item. Today it took 10 minutes just to get my item replaced...so of course the rest of the food was extra cold by the time I got home. Their pathetic apology does not make my food hot again and does not give me back the time I spent in the drive-thru. And it definitely doesn't give me back my money when they just flat out forget items and I don't realize it until I get home. In those instances I'm out food and money. Again, I know this review will do nothing to change their ways. As long as people spend their money here, this Taco Bell will stay the same. read more

Normally I would just expect the very worst from fast food franchises but this location lowered them even further. I went back to get my order corrected bc I am allergic to dairy and the manager gave the ok... When we arrived we re ordered the two items and when we got to the window the mgr screamed at us about getting free food in the past. She accused me directly even though we live in Seattle and this was my first time at Monroe's location. I'm hoping my suspicions are incorrect but I am almost positive they spit in my food. I haven't been in this particular restaurant for at least a year and a half because the last two or three times before that I received, at best, only one star of service. However these last two times I've been here, especially today, the service and the staff have been outstanding. The food came extremely quickly hot and fresh. The staff were very helpful and assisted me to carry the food to my table. They informed me that they have a new manager. This made a whole world of difference. I shall be returning more regularly in the future and I am recommending to my neighbors that this particular restaurant has been turned around 180°. Kudos to the staff and management. read more
