We usually visit this location for food before hitting up At Large. This last visit though, was one of our best! It was Friday 5/10/2024 at about 3:45PM. There was a young man cleaning when we dropped in, he immediately greeted us and let us know he will be right with us. Out of everyone who has served us in the past he was the most inviting and friendly; overall had a great attitude. He served us quickly and gave us great portions, especially on the sour cream and quac. It can be inconsistent at times. We ordered the burrito and bowl both with the Scorpion Chicken being advertised. Hubby got it with the spicy salsa and Jalapeños, and I did mild salsa and Jalapeños. It was spicy enough it probably did not need the spicy salsa, he said, but the flavor was great! If you like spicy I highly suggest to give the Scorpion Chicken a try. They use a Scorpion Pepper Tabasco Sauce. It is a slightly delayed spice that spreads across your mouth, but it builds with each bite. read more

I'm a fan and eat here quite frequently, more often now that they offer Beyond Beef as a protein option. It's always been a vegan friendly place, and they are always willing to let me make whatever substitutions I choose. The people behind the counter are always friendly and accommodating. It's usually easy to get in and out of there pretty fast, I almost always take my food to go. I enjoy almost any kind of food where you walk down a line and get to ask questions about each and every item as needed. I really like making up my own nachos with no cheese and multiple kinds of beans, or making an extra wet burrito. The chips and guacamole are also a favorite of mine. Every day has a different special, you can also get a punch card to fill up for 5$ off your purchase in the future. The worst customer service, I've been to this one twice within the last 2 months for lunch. Same lady helped me out, an older lady with a harder accent, I have nothing against it. I was kind and respectful when asked if cheese, veggies, etc. Saying yes please every-time. I don't know know what I did but they way she communicated came off very rude, and than I pay for my food, and say thank you. And she dropped the bag of food on the counter and said "bye!" I ordered a catering for an event I was having in Snohomish. I went in a week ahead time and the owner KG took my request and assured me that he would take care of everything related to the food. He would also be willing to deliver the food prior to the event start time. Thank you KG for following through with your service. Not only did KG deliver the food he set up everything with the warmers , utensils, etc. The only thing I had to do was the drinks. The food was a hit, everyone loved it! Illegal billing - demand itemized receipt! First time I've ever been to this particular taco del mar. I was overcharged in multiple ways and initially denied an itemized receipt. Cost for 2 loaded tater tots, 1 large wet burrito, 1 brownie, and 1 large drink was $42! When asking for a receipt I was only handed a receipt with a final $42 total on it, and told that tater tot bowls were $10 each. I went back up to counter noting I still couldn't figure out how the total could be $42 and one of the two ladies at counter said it was definitely correct. I said I wanted a receipt with each item price on it. They finally gave me one and I immediately saw it was incorrect because it billed for 2 drinks. The counter lady insisted I'd had 2 drinks, so I asked her to come to the table to see. I also saw the tater tot bowls were each rung up as "meat nachos" even though we'd gotten no chips and no meat. I asked, that at minimum could we be given another drink since we were charged for it, but I will never go here again. A total scam! read more

I frequent this restaurant due to their healthy options, clean restaurant and friendly staff. The food options are healthier than most places for lunch such as drive-thrus. The food is excellent and tastes fresh. I eat the burrito bowl with chicken. The salsa is killer and the guacamole is fresh. The staff are so friendly. The gals always remember me and grab for a burrito bowl as soon as I walk in. The restaurant is clean and draws a clean crowd for lunch (mostly from the county buildings up the street). I once saw a homeless man come in and ask for a glass of water. The owner told the gentleman to wait outside and she would bring him a burrito and drink. She made him up some food and gave it to him. That is truly taking care of your community and having a heart. This restaurant and the owners and employees are truly top notch. read more

The food is good, but they do not have the same prices in the store as they have advertised online, and not even the same deals. Every time I go in there my food is always two or three dollars more than what the menu says or even online and that I recently found out is because when she asks you if you want sour cream she does not tell you that it's going to cost you extra money same with the guacamole and it's not advertised anywhere that those items are an additional fee. The worst customer experience I have ever had in my entire life. We made a huge order for a large group. They barely spoke English which is fine, I tried to be polite and communicate best I could. But that made the workers call their boss every 2 min to place orders or ask anything the customer asks because they don't know their job. I waited over half an hour, then when time came to pick up and pay for my order, their system didn't work and I tried paying at least 3 different ways. Their system denied all my payments, the worker called the boss again, who wanted me to go to the bank and get cash for them. Umm excuse me??!! I'm here waiting at the end of a very long day, very long wait, and they wanted me to get cash to pay? I told him no thank you, your system is messed up. He then proceeded and told me I didn't have money in my bank account which is why their system didn't take my card, and that I was doing this on purpose. That was the last straw for me. I told him to keep his food, hung up and left. I went to a different store, got different food, and paid for it as usual with my card. Literally wanted to video tape it and send it to this locations "boss". Do your self a favor and don't come here. Ever. read more

Wow, I haven't been to a TDM for awhile and expected a excellent meal....what I got was, just bad. I ordered a fish and a beef taco with beans and rice. The guy making the food prepared the flour tortillas by burning and drying them out on a open hot plate instead of cooking them the way they normally do. He pulled this little piece of cold fish out of the serving bar and through the plate together. Cold, tasteless, and left me hoping I wouldn't get sick. I eat at most (if not all) of the Taco Del Mar's in King County and Snohomish County at least twice a week in my travels. I've actually eaten at this location at least 5 times. At every TDM I order the same thing and always order double meat. In every instance that I've eaten here they under serve you with there protein portions. I'm happy to pay for the extra meat, but should receive the actual portion ordered. This is THE ONLY location of all the ones I've frequented over many years that consistently under serves. Normally my favorite lunchtime spot. But the owner lady is careless in how she makes a burrito. Doesn't appear she took any pride in making my food. She also seem to be having a bad day because her attitude sucked. I've been a fan of Taco Del Mar since the burritos were $3.95 and that's been a while. I had a good experience at the Taco Del Mar on Hewitt today. Ordered a burrito with guacamole ( 75 cent up charge) but noticed as I ate that there was no guac on it. Upon mentioning this the manager handed me a small cup of guacamole and ask if it would be okay on the side...of course it is! A moment later he was at my table urging me to take a $1.00 refund for his mistake. I told him this was totally unnecessary but he was insistent, so I took the dollar and on the way out I simply dropped it into the tip jar. Well you know this guy now has a customer for life and it only cost a buck. The quality of the service varies from store to store but c'mon these are franchies. Ya can't police 'em all. My review is more for the CRAPPY SERVICE at the Everett location. The owners are nice but the TWO GIRLS working have hideous customer service skills. I wonder if they know the customers are looking right at them as they roll they're eyes or give eachother knowing looks as if saying ' this persons an idiot'. I even saw them do it to a girl probably in high School ROTC and i almost lost my mind. They are just so rude, I want to say something and maybe one day i will...They don't deserve even having the jobs they do. I've tasted frozen burritos better than this! It was $8 for a Taco Bell sized burrito (I had to pay a dollar extra for a tablespoon more cheese). Both taco time and Taco Bell are wayyy better, and cheaper. The way it's set up I was expecting it to be like Qdoba or Chiplotle but I was way off. The black beans had a strong earthy taste with a hint of almost moldy flavor and were very runny. The rice was crunchy, and flavorless and the hot sauce tasted like pizza sauce. The woman behind the counter was impatient with me, even though there were no customers behind me. She kept barking out the same ingredient while I was trying to ask for extra cheese since she barely put any on it. She repeated all the ingredient names so fast it was like I didn't have a second to think. It was the only thing I had eaten all day and it was 3pm, usually anything tastes amazing at that point! I'm keeping this review short b/c I didn't have much of an experience here. I had a chicken burrito here and it was okay. I expected there to be more flavor but I was sincerely disappointed. The lettuce, beans, sauce including the chicken itself tastes plain. It was as if I got a burrito at McDonald's b/c it was quick, tasteless, and non-filling. The service was decent considering that I was only there for ten minutes. I will stick with Chipotle. Save your money and walk 20 steps further to Brooklyn Bros Pizzeria, Gordito's, or some Indian food. It's worth the wait. read more

The tacos were thick, delicious and tasty. What surprised me how filling both tacos were and how happy my belly continued to be three and a half hours later. I just had the worst & most expensive (for Taco del Mar) lunch here today. I ordered a small burrito with shredded beef and made it a meal (chips and a med drink). It came to almost $17!! What the?? I questioned the lady at the counter and she just handed me a non itemized receipt and said - you got the meal! Well small burrito was about $6, plus an extra $3 to make it a meal. I was expecting lunch to be about $10. Something happened here and I'm not sure what. Seems like some sort of dishonest business practices are afoot. Aside from this, the burrito was repulsive. I took a few bites and then threw it away. There was almost a moldy (?) taste to it and the meat was tough. It was also sopping/dripping wet. I tried to stomach it after paying such an exorbitant amount but finally gave up and threw it all in the trash. The chips were good, thats the only positive comment I can muster. I like the concept of quick and fresh Mexican food. But what I don't like about Taco Del Mar is that they only have a few standard items. The chicken is just chicken, the burrito is just a burrito with too much dry rice, and the chips are just plain chips. I eat here a lot, but have learned to avoid the burritos, instead get soft tacos, and not get the hot sauce which is too hot for my taste. Del Mar means 'of the Sea' so their specialty is a fish burrito with fried fish (cod, I think) and cabbage with a creamy, spicy white sauce. It is good, but is not so healthy. I go because it is convenient and I like how it is bright and cheerful inside. Not good enough because I never have cravings for Taco Del Mar. read more

We were denied using the bathroom even though we were there for dinner before a Silvertips game (Our restrooms are only for customers!). When we pointed out that we WERE customers, they said the restroom was in use however, the key was hanging on the wall. The burritos were okay but way under par for Taco Del Mar. I'm a fan of Taco Del Mar because it's good and simple! I can get a nice filling meal for not much money and get served quickly. The company that franchise TDM went out of business because they didn't keep good control over location selection and they didn't keep a close watch on how the franchisees operated. Taco Del Mar started on a pier in Seattle and in the Seattle area I've had great luck with all the locations I've gone to. The only problem was that the Tulalip location stamped the buy 10, get one free card, with there name and address on it, so I couldn't use it in Everett. If you want more options, go someplace else. A lot of options, make it harder to operated a restaurant and it will make your meal worse... just like McDonalds or other big chains, the more complicated things get, the worse the food gets. Just about everything at the big fast food restaurants taste over processed now. Taco Del Mar isn't perfect, but for fast food it's pretty darn good. read more
