Whoever the manager of this facility really needs to speak to his/her employees working on 12/20/20 at 1 am about being able to run a place properly without having to hover over their employees to make sure the place is running properly. This is a place where people are being paid per hour and refusing service with attitude 2 and a half hours before they close is not a good look. On top of that always forgetting things that are being paid for like extra sour cream on previous orders is a no go as well. Well, I dodge another bullet. Been here lots, never had them get my order (most often Mexican Pizza, no meat, beans instead; sometimes Nachos Bell Grande, no meat) wrong. Just watch the exit from the drive-thru. You've got to take the steep decline at an angle. If you're driving anything beside an old WW II Jeep, you'll bottom out if head straight out. read more

We just got back home from the drive-thru...we should know better...we didn't check our bag before we left. This Taco Bell has gotten our order wrong pretty much every single time we go here! I mean it's Taco Bell, it's garbage, we all know and accept this. So I guess it really comes down to the customer services and this place is exceptionally bad. You kinda get that hurry up and order feel, no please, thank you. They just sort of hand you your bag of garbage with out looking in your direction. Now, this review is coming from someone who loves taco bell. But if it wasn't down the street from my house, I wouldn't ever come to this particular location. It seems most of my drive through orders are incorrect. They've been either missing entire items, missing ingredients, or the wrong item. Going inside gives better service, but that's not saying much. Nothing is ever hot. Not once. Anything you order is under-filled. Go to any other taco bell locally and you will see a difference. It's like the manager is trying to save money by cooking things once a day, putting everything in a heater, then rationing out ingredients all day and night. I was there today, and ordered one of those new dollar wraps, expecting it to be mostly on par with the photo. What I got was a tortilla, a teaspoon of sauce, and 4 teeny pieces of chicken. I asked that they fill it more so it looks the photo. The manager told me that I'd have to pay $1.50 more, for extra chicken. Come on, seriously? That's more than the wrap was to begin with, hell no! Sergio is the best at customer service here. We were lazy, but hungry this morning and were curious about their breakfast menu. When we pulled up we asked Sergio if the coffee was good, he said "Yeah I'd say so, considering I'm the one that's making it" and when we said we wanted hot sauce he was like "Y'all wanna try the breakfast sauce? So, inside there's a 15-minute limit. Mainly applies to school kids. Food is what it is. It is Taco Bell, purveyor of fine dehydrated beans and precooked meat with somewhat Mexican spice notes. I have been eating bean burritos since childhood. Comfort food for under $2? Check. Late afternoon happy hour puts all drinks, including the frozen concoctions, at $1 between 2 and 5 pm. Frozen drink machine still quits with regularity. Have a back up in mind. The workers are kind enough to sound chipper on the speaker, and they generally get orders correct. Food is sometimes alright. It's fast food. Some options taste rubbery and old. Had cinnamon chips that were too hard to bite, I think they were pork skin rinds. My go to options were beef tacos hard shell or the soft supreme tacos, so their nachos supreme. Quite oily. Their meals often gave me heart burn, indigestion, and stomach ache. Ugh, I was hoping that with the renovation of the new building, cool new menu items, and mobile orderings, everything would be better, but I don't feel that way at all. I did a mobile order, and came to pick it up this evening. There were lots of employees working, maybe around 6, but for some reason there seemed to be a lack of organization there. There was about 4 people who had ordered food before I arrived. My food was ready before theres, which was fine by me, but that really sucked for them. The lady who gave me my food forgot to include my large drink, so I asked for it. She checks the cups and looks at someone who looks like she might be the manager letting her know there aren't any large cups. This woman jus responds that there are no large cups. They give each other a blank stare, as if they don't know what to do next. Finally the employee says they have medium, and she offers to give me that. But I also ask for a small cup, because I think i deserved it, I paid for a large, which isn't that much more, but it's the principle of the matter! She gives it to me, and the employees go back to their disorganized frenzy. While this is happeneing, there is a customer in the background, who is trying to defend a kid who can't get into the bathroom. Another employee told him it was open, when it wasn't. After exclaiming that someone needs to unlock the door, there are another set of blank stares between employees. And then eventually someone unlocks the door for him. Why aren't there enough large cups? And why does it take so much prompting for someone to unlock the bathroom door? There are too many employees, yet not enough interactions to create structure and organization. And managment is obviously lacking in support. Also the food sucks. But verb i got to the window it was 2. something, oh on now three something again. I just sat there till they were done with all their prices they were giving me. Wednesday night/Thursday morning around 2am I wake up from a 'nap' on my 'Saturday', take the dogs for a quick walk, and need something to eat for myself. closest taco bell is already closed (and already disappointed me this week) so I order online, jump in my car, and drive down to 35th. handwritten sign at the order window lets me know a few key ingredients of my online order are unavailable (management...) but BRITNEY and her crew could not have been more friendly and accommodating about it. They made sure I left with a satisfactory meal, but more than that exuded positivity despite the ridiculous hour and made me feel like a normal customer. Worst fast food experience ever. We got to the drive-thru, which always takes a bit. No big. Two cars ahead one car is trying to back out because a sign says cash only. Fine. We have cash. We get to the window, and I sit there watching the lady at the register using a calculator. Whatever. I assume they're having issues with the register. Get the food, get the change, hand both back to my passengers, and prepare to pass the panhandler that's ALWAYS there without hitting him while trying to descend the weirdly steep exit. We don't even make it to the bottom before my passengers state they got the wrong change. It's late so we can't go in to say anything, so I wait while they run up to the drive-thru window. Now we're pissing off other customers who just want to get their crappy cheap food and go. My passengers come back to the car saying they were told to come around to the door. I pull into the parking lot, and watch as my passengers go to the front door. Meanwhile cop cars are pulling in. It makes them nervous so my passengers come back saying never mind let's just go. I should not here my passengers are my son and his girlfriend. I'm like naw f that. I get out of the car, go to the front door, exchange bastardized sign language communication with the manager, and follow her instructions to go to the drive-thru window. So past the bum again, and I'm sharing space with the cars. I stand off to the side while the manager pops her head out and says they're counting the register. One car goes, the second waits back for me to approach the window, so I walk up to it. The woman who gave us the change is standing there looking offended while her manager counts cash. She gives me a dirty look, and tells me to get out of the way of the cars. So I do it. The manager ultimately states that yes, the girl rang up the order wrong. Our order totaled out to just over $10, we gave her $20, she accidentally put in that we gave her $15, hence the calculator. But hey, their register counted out right. Of course I must be wasting my time, theirs, and all of the other customers to stand at the drive-thru window next to Mr. Spare Change with my 42 year old white ass to lie about being shorted five bucks. So you admit your cashier made an error worth $5, but I must be lying about being shorted $5. The manager does some blah blah "technically accurate" spiel about how their register counts up right. Of course it does. She rang up the transaction on her calculator. The gist of it is they're not going to give us the change they owe us, my son is standing on the other side of the cars saying let's go, and I still have someone to pick up from Safeway, which is where we should have just gone to begin with. By the time all was said and done, I sat at home eating my skimpy $1 nachos while writing a complaint to Taco Bell's online customer service. I might have accidentally submitted it three times, but at least I can own when I make a mistake. Honestly, I don't know what happened to the Taco Bell 1.0 that caused them to remodel, but I hope the same thing happens to Taco Bell 2.0, and they put a... I don't know... liquor store there. Fast food in Oakland is pretty much the worst in the bay area. And my local Taco Bell is no exception. The food here is mostly edible, but don't be far from a bathroom that you're willing to stink up when you eat it.
