I came to this location and right away it was really confusing. When you drive in there are two different parking lots and it's not very clear where you're supposed to go. I actually drove into the wrong parking lot first because you can't really see where the drive-through entrance is. Getting out of the parking structure was kind of a nightmare too since you have to loop around just to get back out. I eventually circled the building and got into the drive-through. There was only one car ahead of me, but it literally took about 10 minutes to get my food. For just one car in front of me that felt pretty excessive, although maybe they had a big order who knows. I decided to try the Dragon Fruit Agua Fresca. "OR "BUY AT YOUR ON RISK" taste really bad after taste horrible . It's $4 and only comes in one size, a medium. I added it to my Luxe Box combo, which is actually a pro tip because the drink alone is $4, but if you add it to the combo it's only about a $1.20 upcharge. That makes the combo a much better value since you're basically getting food with the drink instead of paying full price for it by itself. Honest review though don't buy the dragon fruit drink. It just wasn't good at all. The tacos were classic they've always been good and the bean burrito was solid too. Overall this location is probably a one-time pass for me mainly because of the confusing layout and the slow drive-through. I'll give the experience three stars. That said, value-wise it's still hard to beat the Luxe Box. These workers are ridiculous and petty I ordered food through the taco bell app and they use doordash drivers as a 3rd party delivery service. My food was made 1:27pm the doordash driver did not pick my food out they grabbed a random ordered and started heading my way than she ended up stealing the food by dropping the food at a different complex than mine taking a picture there and than taking the food back and driving off I saw her do this I got in contact with the store and they said they couldn't do anything it was around the 6th time I called taco bell they kept not answering or hanging up They said I would have to contact doordash so I did I told them I want a redeliver but only if they remake the food because by now it was 2:40pm the doordash rep called that store specifically and sent out a new DoorDash ticket and ask them to remake the order because the food would have been cold by than when the dasher came and brought me the redeliver at 3:06pm it was the same food from 1:30 it was cold , disgusting and soggy when I called taco bell they basically summed it up with too bad so sad no one could give me a clear answer on why would they send the same food it disgusting the food was almost 2 hours old by the time it got to me I still have to contact corporate but this store is filled with petty bumbling idiots who can't follow simple rules like remaking a 4 taco order they just keep giving you the run around all they changed was to add ice to the baja blast that was asked for no ice to make it look like a bew order but the ticket on the order still said 1:27pm I worked in food service I know 3rd party doordash delivery they had nothing stopping them from remaking the messed up order but they didn't and the food came burnt and cold read more

I have been to many a Taco Bell, many, many, many. I have traveled to faraway foreign lands just to Live Mas. My orders at TB, or "The Bell" as I call it are fairly complex. I enjoy the finer things in life such as a Beef Chalupa, easy tomato, add nacho cheese. Or the bean and cheese burrito, extra cheese, smothered in red sauce, takes me back to the golden days of the Enchirito. This Bell is fire. Midway, thumbs down. This seems to be the only Taco Bell between Coronado and Imperial Beach so they are always as busy as In & Out. I went inside during my lunch as the drive thru line was long. Well I placed my order and as waited I watched everyone in this place work together as a team but most importantly....they got my order correct, zero broken taco shells and everything was made as it should be, meaning they had enough meat substitute and filled with the right amount of lettuce, cheese and sour cream. I've been coming here for too many years! Last year a noticed a change on employees and they were working really well when it came to costumer service. But this have been changing this year with too many mistakes and lack of costumer service. Let me share my experience of this time... During the drive through order I was asked if I wanted any hot sauce and I said yes, and requested fire flavor sauce. I also ordered a pineapple whip freeze with my entire order. I got my food and I asked if there was sauce inside the bag and the lady said yes. I pull a bit to make sure I have all my food because they always make mistakes at this store. I only had 1 packet of hot sauce and no straw for my drink. I parked and had to walk to the restaurant and some guy covered in tattoos handled my request of more hot sauce and a straw. The guy came back with a bag with 4 packets of hot sauce and one straw. I ordered food for two. When I got home I realized that my pineapple whip was actually just a slurpee and not the whip. I'm here to spend my money but don't treat me like I don't matter as a costumer. Its a simple task, don't ask costumers if they would like sauce if you are not going to give them any, and don't ask if my order is correct on the screen if someone else is just waiting to make a mistake. read more

I normally don't go to Taco Bell because when I was pregnant, I couldn't eat their tacos at all. However I do like their burrito supreme. I never got sick eating their burritos. I got two burrito supremes and a regular mango iced tea. The mango iced tea is so good. Their burrito supreme is filled with beans, meat, sour cream, diced tomatoes and lettuce. Average for a burrito. I was just craving their burrito supreme. Their menu is pretty extensive and there are combo meals available. I still prefer their competition which is Del Taco. If Taco Bell had those crinkle cut fries, I would come here more often. This rating is only for drive thru. I was on the go. Their drive thru was easy to find. They are located right off of Coronado Ave off the 5 freeway. If you are going north, make a left and the next light a left. The ladies who took my order were nice. Man, the employees here are F-R-I-E-N-D-L-Y!! There's a girl employee who works there, don't remember her name, but she's usually there weekday mornings like at 9 and she's awesome! Why does Taco Bell hate America?!? When we were at our lowest point--quarantined by COVID-19--Taco Bell decided to kick us while we were down by removing the quesarito, spicy tostada, loaded potato griller, and the grilled cheese burrito from its menu. I've stood by Taco Bell as they've made horrible decisions like getting rid of the ghost pepper griller and the fiery Taco Locos, but this is too much. Taco Bell is dead to me...not really. This is not the first time that I've gotten off of work, to go to Taco Bell, all I get is a combo number 3 or 2 soft taco supremes every time....and 3/4 time I get no sour cream and tomatoes but pay for supremes. Wish there was another Taco Bell that did their job right closer by saying I've been in their position as a shift lead a couple years ago. Super disappointing.
