We had a $15 gift card and ordered $18 worth of food and they would not let us use the card. They said we had to pay the difference in cash and then when we gave them cash they said they still can't do it. The manager on duty 4/11 at 4pm just kept telling the employee in the window that they cannot take our gift card even though in every other taco bell this would not be a problem. I know this is a Taco Bell, and fast food chains don't usually have the best reputation. But last time I went here, I gotta say, for ordering at the kiosk to dine-in, the in-person service was actually decent. After ordering at the kiosk, a real person actually called us up to let us know they were out of a sauce in one of our items and offered a different one instead as a substitute. Now it sucks that they were out of the one we ordered, and maybe it should be updated in their system at the kiosk if that's possible (or a paper sign?), but the fact that they offered a substitute before completing our order was good customer service. Also, I went up to the front to ask for the restroom code, and I didn't have to wait long before a person actually walked over to me to see what I needed. Oh and to top it off, another customer didn't hear their order (to be fair, the person who called out the name didn't say it very clearly or loudly, but the customer also had headphones on, so it was a lose-lose situation)... so it sat on the counter for awhile. When the customer finally came up to pick up their food, a worker said since the food had sat there for some time, let them know if it's too cold. Wow, very nice! Yes, customer service like this shouldn't be such an anomaly, but I've had pretty bad experiences with issues from ordering at a kiosk at other restaurants, and the service here was so much better. Three days ago I went to the Lake City Taco Bell ordering two boxed meals. The five layer beef burrito was nothing but nasty looking beans, the taco was weak at best, the chicken wrap was fair and the nachos cheese good although the chips crumbled. Then the Mango drink disgusting tasting like dirty water suck through cardboard. The dried fruit like Styrofoam that was added to cups. Finally Mexican Pizza from Taco Bell. I got (2) of them today and have been missing it for 2 years or so. I had to get it and there is a few different things about it. First it cost almost a $1.00 more, but to me it seems there were more either meat or beans in it. So that extra cost is worth it. Is it a rule that, in order to work at this Taco Bell, you have to be extremely rude and consistently get orders wrong? I feel kinda bad writing a crappy review of a fast food place... but this Taco Bell is honestly so, so bad. Like, extraordinarily bad. They consistently mess up or forget at least one of my items, and the employees are always incredibly nasty. Like yeah, I get it. You work at Taco Bell. It's a shitty job. But I mean... Honestly its Taco Bell so i understand we arent expecting the most amazing experience. I am writing because I feel like other complaints re:this TB arent necessarily fair because they lack context. The issue here is not the employees, its the management. So often I go here for a quick bite and they cant open the lobby because they don't have enough people in. It's a skeleton crew, which isnt a good idea for such a busy intersection, and the employees are massively overowrked (and underpaid). So if someone is sick or burned out, there isnt anyone to cover them. i have been in multiple times and there hasnt even been a manager on site. I've never seen a fast food place that moves so slowly and inefficiently. It's clear the employees aren't well trained or taken care of. The food I receive any time I'm here is sloppy and inconsistent. The staff is generally moody and even just pulling up to the drive thru it can take several minutes to get a greeting, which is almost always followed up by "I'll be with you on a minute." A large number of issues need addressed here. In no way does this Taco Bell deserve a second star. I'd like to see Taco Bell get this one right, since it's a brand I've always loved. Do not go here if you value your time. Based on other reviews, I wish I just went home. Sitting in drive thru for 30+ minutes with a handful of other cars, and they just kept coming piling up, so once you're in, you're in. There's no excuse for these beyond shitty drive times. I did a mobile order so I'm unfortunately extra stuck, otherwise I would've just left. A huge waste of everyone's time. Probably will contact corporate for a refund because this is beyond ridiculous. If I came back to this location for it, it would probably take over 30 minutes If your employees can't do the job, fire them. If it's not a good fit, it's not a good fit. They're costing you money. There's no reason for 6 cars to wait a half hour, and still not even be at the speaker. If I had to guess, everyone's probably stoned and doesn't give a crap. It almost seems like one person is working. Incredibly poor service. Not to mention half the menu isn't available to order at this location. I literally have a $6 order, I ordered one thing and some sauce. I've almost finished listening to this whole album while sitting here, still not even at the speaker. Although the app, the quality of food and speed of service is acceptable to me, (for Taco Bell) they have shorted my order 2x out of 4! That is bad, but what is worse is that they survey afterwards, giving you an opportunity to tell them you were overcharged and did not get product you paid for....However, your complaint goes in to a black hole and there is no apology or offer to make it right. When I went through the drive thru on 6/18/2020, one of the employees was not wearing mask and working in the back with the food. He was staying out of sight of the drive thru so it was hard to see him. A lot of employees were wearing the masks below their noses. When I went to speak to the manager about a refund, she came to the door with her mask below her month and when I took her picture she slammed the door and threatened to call the police.
