    Chicken taco salad

This place looks like a hole in the wall; but, I'm telling ya they have THE BEST chicken tacos & queso I've had in my life!!!!!! Plus they're salsa bar is amazing. Mango is my fav. Their FIRE is literally you must go! Like right now!

The food tasted great and the service was good! Not a ton of variety but it's a small place. I ate the marinated pork(marinated in pineapple) quesadilla with rice as my side. My daughter had a chicken quesadilla which was delicious as well. The rice was dry so I wouldn't recommend. The mango salsa was super flavorful & the green sauce was just the right heat! All in all I would recommend and I would eat there again. For 4 adults the cost was about $52.

Best tacos in all of Kentucky. Salsa is delicious. Try the fire salsa and the mango pico de Gallo.

Notice NO queso on our queso burrito and they left out our order of queso and chip...

Order is NEVER right, Their cashier Ko has the worst customer service ever, showed pictures of a messed up order with my receipt and they gave us queso, which they for got to put on our queso burrito (WHAT?? I mean what is a queso burrito with NO QUESO??!), but refused to give us the queso and chips that they forgot. We even called after our order was placed to kindly ask that they double check it since this is ALWAYS AN ISSUE. Their food is good but the accuracy and customer service is definitely DISAPPOINTING.

$2 tacos? Yes please! Taco salad was just ok - for the price I would skip it

The tacos here are awesome and SO CHEAP!! Also, they have a salsa bar and they make the salsas in house! YUM! You need to check it out! You won't be disappointed and the price is hard to beat!

Absolutely delicious authentic tacos! I had Al Pastor and Carne Asada. Both were exceptionally tasty. The salsa bar had lots of choices and toppings. The only suggestion I'd make is for the onions and cilantro to be made available separately on the bar. I like more cilantro and less onions than were available in the mixture. All in all my favorite tacos in Shelbyville! Can't wait to go back!

This is your typical mexican restaurant. The food was decent, a 6/10 for the tacos. However the sopes are to die for. Portion sizes for meat on tacos are a little small but the tacos were two dollars. The restaurant isn't really inviting and the decor looks old. Service was decent.

We were leaving for the second leg of our trip and were running late, as usual. We decided to run across the street for a sit down lunch, what's another hour? Two smiling faces greeted us at the door. They offered a high top but my hip was absolutely not digging it nor a table up the flight of steep stairs. Once seated, we were greeted promptly and had water in front of us almost immediately. We each ordered soup and then a sandwich to share. I had the Sopa de Pollo . A hot bowl thick with thin noodles and lots of chunks of chicken. The chunks were too big to eat without being cut up which was a challenge in a bowl of broth. It was so hot that I had to wait a while to try it and even then had to blow on it. It was delicious. Unless the soup is your meal, order a cup. I still took nearly a pint of soup back with me. My husband ordered the Frijole Negro - a huge bowl of black beans that was served with a large pile of raw onions on top. Like the chicken soup, it was burn your mouth hot and a very large serving. He said it was good but he'd not order it again. Moving on to the sandwich. We had the Cubano. I'm not even going to describe it - just trust me - order the Cubano. Do not look at the rest of the menu - order the Cubano. Don't even bother looking at the ingredients, just order the Cubano. Have you ordered it yet? Do it already. The Cubano is huge. We split one half and had the other when we arrived at our next stop. Do consider that we had soup first; otherwise, we'd have eaten the whole thing. The accompanying plantain chips were worthy of their own review. They were wonderful. Who knows if and when we'll be back to Louisville but when we are, La Bodeguita will be the first place we stop. BTW, have you ordered the Cubano yet? What are you waiting for? Put your phone done and order it! Enjoy!!

I looked at the menu but already knew I was ordering a Cuban sandwich. They had many favors of Jarritos I was happy before I even got food! I got an amazing sandwich with pork and cheese, and enough for 2 servings. I really felt like I was in Miami where I had my somewhat authentic in the US Cuban. They had a huge take out business, that means the folks working in the offices around them approve. I did not try any of the side dishes, but that is a reason to go back. The location was easy to get to with easy parking, the staff was friendly and make you feel like family. This is a bit of out of the way for me, but I will be back.

The rice and beans were a little bland but well cooked. The Cuban came out fast, but the cheese hadn't really melted at all. The flavors all felt a little rushed, pre-packaged, even. The homemade sauces are to die for, let's just start there. And second, I'll admit that I've gotten carryout from there two days in a row. I will say that the online ordering platform on Yelp is powered by Grubhub and the prices vary from the dine in menu. The torta here is literally the best in Lexington, and I've eaten them from more local places than I care to admit. The bread was so fresh that I'm thinking it was homemade. The steak option literally looked like it had a pound of beef on it. The melted cheese and the guacamole were fantastic as well. It was like a fat cheese steak sandwich at half the cost of a usual cheese steak sandwich. Oh, and it also comes with an order of fries, which is a nice surprise. I've also had the chicken burrito plate. It comes with two burritos, rice, beans, cheese sauce and guacamole. The guacamole and cheese sauce is sooo good. I think the white queso is a regional thing and I'm glad, it's my favorite. I recommend asking for the cheese sauce on the side so that you can add some to the rice. Thank me later.
